SERENA'S POV
The two maids turned to him fast and bowed their heads.
"She hasn't eaten, boss. We tried to get her to eat but she still refuses." The older maid gained enough courage to respond to him.
Luca's eyes moved straight to me. I kept my arms crossed and stared at nothing interesting in particular. He didn't look surprised. He just looked calm, sure of himself and his environment, as usual.
"Leave the tray," he told them. "Close the door."
He waved his hand and they didn't need more words, they knew it was time for them to leave.
Luca walked over to the side stool. He picked up the tea and took a slow sip, savoring the creamy taste. After he was satisfied, he set the cup down then looked at me again.
"You need to eat, Serena."
I didn't answer right away. My voice felt small and cracky. "I'm not hungry."
