"Galladon, why did you jump into the sea and enter that cave without hesitation? Was it Old Fek's son who guided you?"
Lord Selwyn's voice cut through the crackling of the fireplace as he looked at his son, flames reflecting in his eyes.
Galladon immediately understood what his father meant.
"No, Father. Old Fek's son did nothing. Please don't trouble him."
Selwyn had clearly suspected an assassination attempt against the heir of House Tarth.
From his merged memories, Galladon knew the truth: Old Fek's son had actually tried to stop him. It was the original Galladon who had insisted, relying on his noble status to force the boy to lead the way—then recklessly dove into the sea himself.
"Then how were you certain there was a holy sword in that cave?" Selwyn pressed.
Galladon paused, then answered carefully:
"I heard… a call. From the shore."
"The call of the holy sword?" Selwyn's eyes widened.
"Yes."
Whether such a call existed or not was irrelevant now. He had obtained the blade. Claiming it had summoned him would conveniently explain any "changes" in him going forward.
After all, if he were chosen by the holy sword and the legendary Morning Light Galladon, then being unusually mature or intelligent would not be strange.
Selwyn, unaware he was being gently misled, immediately believed it.
Could his son truly be favored by the Seven Gods?
The thought filled him with pride—and unease.
If Galladon truly carried divine expectations, could he, as a father, properly guide him?
Galladon remained unaware of the pressure his casual statement had placed upon Selwyn.
Instead, he focused on Brienne curled in his arms.
Four-year-old Brienne was sturdy and warm, yet there was no sign she would one day grow into a towering warrior nearly two meters tall.
Her eyes, however, were exactly as described in the books—clear blue like sapphires.
And the freckles.
Galladon smiled faintly.
He liked this sister very much.
In truth, young Brienne was adorable. In the original story, she was called "ugly" largely because of her height, strength, and crooked teeth. But with clear features, fair skin, and beautiful eyes, how could she truly be ugly?
At four years old, her body had not yet developed awkwardly, nor had her teeth grown crooked.
Perhaps he could guide her differently.
Teach her proper grooming. Help her maintain healthy teeth. Encourage balanced training—strength without losing femininity.
Maybe then, her future would be kinder.
As Brienne drifted off to sleep in his arms, Galladon reopened his system panel.

Galladon analyzed quietly.
If his Strength and Agility were around 3–4, then perhaps 10 represented the level of a fully developed adult male.
His Spirit at 12.8 likely reflected his transmigrated soul and accumulated memories.
His skill percentages were understandable—he had studied swordsmanship, archery, riding, and language from a young age. Likely, 100% would represent peak human mastery.
But the most shocking discovery was the bloodlines.
Three legendary bloodlines.
The Duskstar Bloodline.
The Targaryen Bloodline.
The Storm King Bloodline.
The Targaryen bloodline drew his attention immediately.
If developed far enough… could he awaken dragon-riding talent? Fire resistance?
The possibility seemed real.
The Duskstar bloodline likely came from House Tarth's ancient lineage, stretching back to the Dawn Age. Perhaps Brienne's future strength stemmed from this bloodline awakening.
The Storm King bloodline traced back to House Durrandon, rulers of the Stormlands in the Age of Heroes before Aegon's Conquest.
When Aegon conquered Storm's End, the last Storm King fell, and his daughter was married to Orys Baratheon. Thus House Baratheon inherited the Storm King's banner, sigil, and motto.
The Storm King line was known for thick dark hair—carried by every Baratheon male.
As for why Galladon possessed that bloodline?
Marriage.
House Tarth had intermarried with House Durrandon long ago. Bloodlines mixed over centuries.
But what about the Targaryen bloodline?
The answer was also marriage.
After the Baratheons rose to rule the Stormlands, their first major alliance was with House Tarth. Since the Baratheons themselves carried Targaryen blood through Orys, that blood eventually flowed—faintly—into House Tarth.
For most Tarth descendants, it was negligible.
But for Galladon?
It was a hidden treasure.
Because he could add points.
