The sirenfolk envoy passed through layers upon layers of coral palaces and returned to that boundless world of emerald waves, where she met the one in charge of her race.
"What?"
The sirenfolk administrator could hardly believe it.
"He rejected us that cleanly?"
"Did you make yourself clear? The conditions we sirenfolk offered are something no sane creature would ever refuse!"
His gaze was as sharp as a blade as he stared fixedly at the envoy.
