The next morning, soft sunlight slowly filtered into the campus dormitory, casting a warm golden glow across the room.
But someone had already been awake for quite a while.
Shen Mo.
For someone who usually woke up late, today was different—strangely different. He had gotten up earlier than everyone else and was now standing in front of the mirror, fixing his hair for the third time.
He adjusted his collar, stepped back, then leaned closer again, slightly frowning as if something still didn't feel right.
Why does it matter so much today?
Behind him, Li Yuan had been quietly observing the entire scene, clearly enjoying it.
Finally, he couldn't hold back anymore.
"Ohhh… Brother Shen," Li Yuan said lazily, stretching on his bed with a teasing grin. "Why are you in such a hurry today? And honestly… your hair doesn't look good at all."
Shen Mo's brows furrowed instantly.
Without saying a word, he turned and walked straight into the bathroom.
A few minutes later, he came back, having fixed his hairstyle again—this time more carefully.
He looked directly at Li Yuan. "How about now?"
Li Yuan stared at him for a few seconds, pretending to think seriously… then slowly shook his head.
"Still not good."
Ji Kim burst out laughing. "Bro, I can't—this is too funny!"
Yi Kuan nearly choked trying to hold his laughter. "Brother Shen, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your hair. He's just messing with you."
Li Yuan shot Yi Kuan an annoyed glare. "Why are you exposing me?"
Shen Mo ignored all of them.
Instead, he quietly picked up his phone. The teasing voices around him faded into the background as his focus shifted to the screen.
Without hesitation, he opened WeChat.
His fingers paused for a brief moment… then he typed:
"Hey junior, good morning."
He stared at the message for a second before sending it.
And then… he waited.
Meanwhile, in the girls' dormitory…
The atmosphere was completely different—lively, cheerful, and full of energy.
Su An sat with her roommates around the study table as they discussed their plans for the day.
Since classes would officially begin tomorrow, today felt like a small window of freedom.
"We should explore the campus," Shia Jin suggested, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Lu Yan nodded in agreement. "Yes, there are so many places we haven't seen yet."
Lu Yin clapped her hands dramatically. "Then it's decided! Today is adventure day."
Everyone laughed and agreed.
Amid the conversation, Su An suddenly paused.
"My phone…"
She glanced toward her bed and realized it was still lying there—on silent mode.
What if Mom called me?
A hint of worry crossed her face as she quickly walked over and picked it up.
But instead of missed calls…
There was a message notification.
From Shen Mo.
"Hey junior, good morning."
For a brief moment, she just stared at the screen.
Then, without realizing it, a small, soft smile appeared on her lips.
There was something strangely comforting about his message.
She quickly typed back:
"Good morning, senior."
As she turned to leave the room, her phone vibrated again.
She stopped.
Another message from him.
"Hey junior, what are you doing?"
Her fingers hesitated slightly above the screen before replying:
"We just planned to explore the campus together today."
A second later, the reply came.
"So early? Looks like I'm late then."
Su An blinked, slightly surprised by his tone.
Before she could think too much, another message appeared:
"Be careful while exploring. The campus is bigger than you think… you might get lost."
For some reason, she felt like he wasn't entirely joking.
She replied softly,
"Then what should I do if I get lost, senior?"
There was a short pause.
On the other side, Shen Mo looked at the message… and smiled.
His fingers moved slowly as he typed:
"Call me."
Su An's heart skipped a tiny beat.
Just two simple words… but they felt unexpectedly reassuring.
Before she could reply, another message came:
"Or better… wait for me. I'll show you around."
Su An stood there quietly, staring at her phone.
Behind her, Lu Yin suddenly leaned over her shoulder. "Why do you look like that? Don't tell me… it's the same 'senior' again?"
Su An quickly locked her phone, slightly flustered. "It's nothing…"
But her expression said otherwise.
And somewhere, in another dorm room…
Shen Mo was already getting ready to leave.
Because today…
he didn't want to miss the chance to walk beside her again.
A few minutes later, Su An and her roommates stepped out of the dorm building, laughing and talking among themselves.
The morning air was fresh, and the campus looked even more beautiful under the sunlight.
"Today is going to be fun," Lu Yin said excitedly, holding Su An's arm.
But just as they reached the entrance…
Someone was already standing there.
Tall. Calm. Hands casually in his pockets.
Shen Mo.
For a second, Su An froze.
Before she could even react, Shia Jin suddenly grabbed her arm tightly.
"Su An… do you even know who that is?" she whispered dramatically, her voice full of shock and excitement.
Su An blinked. "W-what?"
Shia Jin leaned closer, almost whispering into her ear like it was some huge secret.
"That's Shen Mo… our senior. The Shen Mo. The cold and cool heartthrob of the entire campus."
Lu Yin's eyes widened. "Wait… THAT Shen Mo?!"
Lu Yan added softly, "He barely talks to anyone…"
Su An's heart started beating a little faster.
Before she could process anything further…
Shen Mo had already started walking toward them.
Each step calm. Confident.
And then—
"Hey, junior."
His voice was low and gentle.
All three girls went completely silent.
Shia Jin and Lu Yin slowly turned their heads toward Su An… their expressions filled with pure shock.
Junior…?
Su An felt their stares and suddenly got nervous. "G-good morning, senior…"
Behind them, Lu Yin whispered, "Since when did he start calling you junior like that…?"
At that exact moment—
Thud!
Two figures suddenly stumbled from behind a nearby pillar.
Li Yuan and Ji Kim.
"Ah—!" Ji Kim almost fell flat on the ground.
Li Yuan quickly stood up, brushing his clothes. "This was NOT part of the plan."
Shen Mo glanced at them with a cold look.
"…You two," he said flatly.
Ji Kim laughed awkwardly. "Hehe… we were just… passing by."
"Passing by behind a pillar?" Yi Kuan's voice came from a distance, clearly amused.
Shia Jin, who had been watching all this, suddenly froze.
"…Ji Kim?"
Ji Kim turned his head.
"…Shia Jin?!"
For a moment, both of them just stared at each other.
Then—
"You idiot! You didn't tell me you were in this university!" Shia Jin snapped, walking straight up to him.
"And YOU didn't tell me either!" Ji Kim shot back.
Li Yuan looked between them, confused. "Wait… you two know each other?"
Shia Jin crossed her arms proudly. "Know each other? He's my boyfriend."
Silence.
Then Ji Kim added with a grin, "And childhood sweetheart."
Everyone's eyes widened.
Lu Yin whispered dramatically, "This campus is already more interesting than I thought."
Meanwhile, Shen Mo stood quietly beside Su An.
"Looks like introductions are getting complicated," he said softly.
Su An let out a small laugh.
After a few minutes, everyone properly introduced themselves, and the awkwardness slowly turned into comfort.
"So," Li Yuan clapped his hands, "since we're all here… why don't we explore the campus together?"
"Exactly what we planned," Lu Yan nodded.
And just like that, the group started walking.
Shen Mo naturally walked beside Su An.
As they moved through the campus, he started explaining different places—lecture halls, library, cafeteria—his voice calm and steady.
But every now and then…
He would lean slightly closer.
"Careful, junior. There's a step."
Or softly say, "Stay close. You'll get lost."
Su An's cheeks turned slightly pink each time.
Behind them, Lu Yin quietly leaned toward her and whispered,
"Your 'senior' seems very attentive."
Su An looked down, trying to hide her smile. "Stop it…"
A few steps later—
Shen Mo suddenly asked, "So, junior… are you enjoying your first day?"
Su An looked at him for a second, then nodded softly. "Yes… it's better than I expected."
"Good," he said, a faint smile appearing. "Because this is just the beginning."
From a distance, Li Yuan whispered to Ji Kim,
"Brother Shen is gone. Completely gone."
Ji Kim nodded seriously. "No saving him now."
And as laughter, teasing whispers, and soft glances filled the air…
A simple campus tour slowly turned into something much more special.
Something that none of them would forget.
