In the higher realm, beyond mortal comprehension, immortals ruled over the law of existence itself.
They cultivated endless spiritual energy, controlled stars, shattered worlds and lived beyond the time.

But the artifact had another purpose.
It could lock an immortal inside the realm.
One day, Xuan Li received news of a hidden truth buried within Tianhuang realm - a clue about the origin force her sought. Believing it to be destiny, he entered the realm alone.
The moment he crossed the boundary, everything change.

Seven immortals descended outside the realms barrier, unable to fully enter but able to activate the artifact from the beyond.
The Void-Sealing Compass awakened, forming chaina from broken laws. They pierced throught the realm and bound Xuan Li to the realm.
He understood instantly.
It had all been a trap.
"You fear me that much" Xuan Li laughed, through blood ran from his lips.
One immortal answered coldly.
"You sought what should never be found".
The artifact began it final function: Soul Extinction...
Normally, no weapon can destroy an immortal soul. But within Tianhuang realm, where spiritual energy didn't exist, immortals were served from the heaven themselves.
The rule of nature treat them like foreign invaders. Without any spiritual energy to sustain his existence, Xuan Li immortal body slowly turn mortal.
For three days and nights, the artifact erased him pieces by pieces.
Mountains crumble from pressure.
The dead realm trembled.
And in his finale moment, Xuan Li realise that the realm is not completely death.
There's no spiritual energy cause it had been exhausted by humans.
Now, only mortals live in this realm. With immortals as fairy tales told to the kids as bedtime stories.
But his existence had caused the mortal in this realm to suffer greatly. Cause of the continuous trembling in the realm.
Many mountains had fallen, rivers had dried, land had become barren. Normal, mortal suffer from natural diasters cause of him.
This realisation made him more angry at the immortals. But he could do nothing for the suffering soul, he can only watch them suffer as slowly his soul get extinct.
The day he breath last with eyes full of haters and unwillingness. Something, magical happened.
The Void-Sealing Compass, once erasing the soul dim and fall beside the dead body.
The dead body of an immortal which had turn into mortal start decaying slowly with time passing by.

But the Void-Sealing Compass is only capable of erasing the soul, not spiritual energy. And the spiritual sea of an immortal is vast.
The moment Void-Sealing Compass fall, all of the trapped spiritual energy slowly start sipping out of the Xuan Li decaying body.
The spiritual energy stop the process of decay, sealing his body in frozen time.
Small amount of spiritual energy spread from his body, outside of the simple grave.
The grass growing on his tomb grow more taller and rich in spiritual energy. These grass were eaten by rabbits and many herbivores animals start creating changes in there bodies.
The very first animal to form beast core were the rabbits, with there ability to procreate. The number increase rapidly.
At the same time those predator animals who hunt small preys to eat like fox, were next one to form beast core.
But rather growing larger and stronger, nothing special happened to them. Untill, one animal learn to use the spiritual energy and learn to increase it by eating others.
This evolution among animals only take little more then a decade, for most of the animal to turn into what humans called spiritual beast.
Luckily, the rule of nature in the Tianhuang realm recognise the trouble and seal these beast inside the five mountain peak.
The barrier around the five mountain peak prevent all these spiritual beast from running and causing trouble for the normal mortals.
These five mountains were formed cause of the continental collision between two different continental plates.
But these mountains were barren, at first no animal venture there, until sipping spiritual energy attract the animal there's.
The mountains nuture by the spiritual energy become, vegetation rich area, with abundance of spiritual energy the mountain themselves become beautiful paradise.
The area around the mountains also start experience the changes in the terrains. The rich, fertile soil and lush vegetation soon attract human there's.
Many kings turn attention towards this resources rich mountains and everyone want it.
After many struggles, the mountains end up coming under the kingdom ruled by the Emperor Zhao.
He create a small city at the foot of the mountains. That city become one of the most famous market in all of the neighbouring countries.
But one day a monk pass by the mountains and claim that there's something weird about the mountains.
The feng shui of the mountains are not good, but the environment is still rich and pure without any problem.
After trying to see something, the monk suffer from the seeing too much and died after muttering two words.
