An explosion went off as Conan's flame dragon, which was launched at Seth, landed.
The academy students immediately cheered as the tables seemed to have turned, but it seemed they did so too soon.
The flames cleared up, revealing what seemed like a shield made completely of vines.
Some had been burnt to ash, but Seth was smart enough to layer them, so the flames hadn't broken through.
Conan let out an annoyed sigh at that.
Dragon flames would've broken through, but this was just the first match of the tournament, and he had no intention of burning all his mana here.
The vines made way to reveal a completely unharmed Seth.
"My region specializes in multiple elements..." Well, I wouldn't call it specializing, but I am quite interested in how you can switch between multiple elements," he said, seeming genuinely curious, "are you perhaps contracted to multiple spirits? Or is it one with a potential to become ancient?"
