Gabriel took several measured steps toward the conference table before stopping a short distance from Santiago. Although Nicolas had already briefed him on what had happened at the academy, the atmosphere inside the room suggested there was far more to the situation than he had been told.
The sight of the academy's principal sitting alongside members of the Board of Directors, surrounded by lawyers and investigators, made it painfully obvious that the matter had grown far beyond a disciplinary incident.
"Brother," Gabriel called quietly, unable to hide the uneasiness creeping into his voice. "I know what happened at the academy, but... what exactly is going on?"
