Her fingers curled slightly at her sides, her mind racing as she processed the figures. Even after everything she had endured, even after nearly dying in that ambush, the outcome felt almost unreal, a strange, detached reward for the terror she had just survived.
"What do you want me to do with it?" he asked, his gaze narrowing slightly as he watched her reaction with careful interest.
"I want one million transferred to my account," she said quickly, almost instinctively, the words leaving her lips before she could second-guess them. "The remaining two… use it to reduce my debt."
