"Where should I be?" Santiago's voice was low, sharp, and rough. Before she could react, his arms were around her, lifting her slightly as he held her firmly against him. "I thought I gave you clothes to wear. Why are you walking around like this? Where is the safety vest? The phone? The gun I gave you?"
Daniella's body tensed, instinctively trying to pull away. "I don't care… I don't care… I don't care!" she snapped, wriggling out of his grip as best she could. Her black biker shorts and bra offered little shield, and she pulled the edge of the shorts higher, trying to regain some sense of control over her exposed body.
Santiago's hands tightened on her arms, his voice rising slightly, hoarse with anger. "Without the phone, the money could be lost! Do you even understand what could happen?"
