"Come on tell us,!you both were smiling, did you tell him yes??", they asked eagerly, I just ignored them, the rest of the day went smoothly.
Let's not forget Mary, she was about to burst with jealousy when she heard that Austin kissed me, but she masked it all, masking her hate with fake concern,
"Did he hurt you?", she asked, fake concern etched on her face,
"No", I said flatly,
"Are you sure?",
"Yes", raising my voice a bit, "Mary I'd like to be alone",
"Alright", she said then left.
Sigh, Mary, you never change.
Mary went to Austin and did the unthinkable, she was throwing herself at him, WHAT??, Of course, what was I expecting, a leopard never changes it's spots.
Austin's POV

I was talking with my friends when I heard an oversweet voice calling my name, I looked back,and behold, it was Mary,
"Could you guys please leave us??", she said to my friends, and they left without a word,
"What do you want? and don't pretend", I asked crossing my arms over my chest,
At my last statement, she dropped her pretence, and within the blink of an eye, she crashed her lips to mine, I was momentarily stunned, then pushed her away,
"Mary, are you crazy?!?!", I asked
"I want you!!!, why does Ann get to have everything!!,she doesn't deserve you!!", she yelled like a mad woman,
"Ann, look at the girl you let back into your life", I said to Ann, who was behind Mary,
Mary slowly turned around, and she saw Ann standing behind her, her face slowly turned pale,
"An..n, I..., you...di..d...not...hea.. sorry..", she stuttered,
Ann just looked at her from head to toe,
"Mary, you never change, after all a leopard never changes it's spots, shameless sl*t", she said then walked away, leaving Mary dumbfounded, 'Id definitely lose her again ', she muttered under her breath,
"You never deserved her care to begin with", I said throwing the last remark over my shoulder and walked away
Ann's POV

I was going to the principal's office, when I heard voices, particularly Mary and Austin's voices, and I followed the direction of the isound and walked into a scene where Mary was kissing Austin, then he pushed her away and his furious voice echoed across the hall,
"Mary are you crazy!!"
"I want you!!!, why does Ann get to have everything!!,she doesn't deserve you!!", she yelled like a mad woman,
"Ann, look at the girl you let back into your life", he said to me,
I watched as Mary slowly turned around, fear etched on her face as the tried to apologise, 'he's not my boyfriend, so don't apologise', I thought to my self,
"An..n, I..., you...di..d...not...hea.. sorry..", she stuttered,
"Mary, you never change, after all a leopard never changes it's spots, shameless sl*t", she said then walked away, leaving Mary dumbfounded, I was ashamed, ashamed that she's my friend, a shameless one at that, sigh, what was I thinking when I let her back into my life?, I asked my self, after today I won't talk to her, I don't need someone like her in my life.
Later that day, Mary came to me begging,
"Ann, please forgive me, I know I.....",
"First of all, there's nothing to forgive, what did you do to me?, Austin's not my boyfriend, so you should be apologising to him and not me, Secondly, Mary why won't you change, look how shameless you have become, Mary, I'm disappointed at you, I feel ashamed to call you my friend, why did I let you back in to my life when you walked away resolutely and without looking back?, Mary, just leave, leave my sight, I don't want to see you, just go",
"Im still sorry, Ann, for everything, if you really want me put of your life, then, so be it", she offered a half hearted apology and walked away.
I watched as she walked away, malice and hatred swirling in her eyes, she's dangerous, I said to myself, I know she has a plan, to probably humiliate me, but I won't give her the satisfaction of seeing me suffer, GAME ON,dear friend, I said then walked away.
In class

I knew she is jealous of me but I didn't know it was to this extent.
In class, whenever I raised my hand to answer questions, she would do so, probably expecting me to get mad, I won't give her the satisfaction of seeing me lose control.
Whenever she got picked to answer a question she'd give me a smug look that says, 'see I'm better than you', but whenever I got picked, she would literally shoot daggers at me with her eyes, she'd glare so hard I'd wonder if her eyes would fall out, but I didn't care.
Or when my friends and I gathered to talk, she'd gather her own friends to gossip, sigh, Mary, oh Mary, you are really stupid.
Or at the cafeteria she and her friends would rush to take my table, she wants a fight, and I won't give it to her, so my friends and I walked pass our usual table where Mary and her entourage sat and moved to another.
I saw the shocked look in Mary's eyes when we walked pass her, I continued to ignore Mary's childish antics, after all, silence is the best answer given to a fool.
All of this continued until one day, she stopped me on my way to the class,
"What do you want Mary?", I asked
"Why, why are you so calm, I've practically made your life a living hell, and you're calm about it, no response, no confrontation, no fighting or violence, Ann, you're really something", she said,
Sigh, "Mary, please get out of my way", I said trying to mask my anger with calmness, but she wasn't having any of it,
"And if I don't?, you'll beat me up?", she said tauntingly,
Finally my patience cracked and my voice rose higher, but I didn't push her, because, if we ended up fighting, she'll ultimately have the upper hand as she'd term it as self defense, I pushed her first, "Mary get out of my way!",
"Oh, we're shouting now are we?", she laughed,
I tried to walk around her, but she pushed me, not as smart as I thought, now I could beat her up and call it self defense, SKACK!!, I slapped her.
