But I don't even get the chance to open my mouth and ask whether she's serious or just messing with me — because she firmly places a hand over my eyes.
"I-I'll do it with you, but on one condition..." she continues. "I-I don't want you looking at me while we do it... it'd be too embarrassing..."
I nod, even though I honestly can't understand the reason behind such a bizarre request.
"All right, no problem. But can I at least know why?"
"I-I'll explain," she stammers, keeping her hand firmly over my eyes while clearly doing something with the other — though I can't tell what. "It's just that... you're too handsome. Much more than me... and it makes me deeply uncomfortable..."
"That makes absolutely no sense. And for the record, you're way more beautiful than I am."
