The soft, wet smacking of lips is the first sound to reach Chris's ears.
A moment later comes a soft, moist sensation pressing against his lips again and again in fleeting little touches.

His eyes suddenly snap open.
He's lying on Isabelle's soft double bed, the warm light of dawn streaming through the window and gently caressing his skin.
It takes him a second to realize what's behind the pleasant sensation that woke him up.
Mia is lying right beside him.
She had been gently kissing him over and over while he was unconscious, never stopping until Chris finally came to.
"Good morning, Chris. You're finally awake... I'm so happy..." Mia murmurs, her eyes glistening with tears of both joy and concern. "You really had me worried, you know? You've been stuck in bed for almost a week..."
I've been bedridden... for a whole week? I knew I was in bad shape, but I didn't think it was that bad...
