Chapter 205 - Meat Served on a Plate

Hidan: "Impossible!! How could Lord Jashin lose!!!"

Kakuzu: "Quiet down, Hidan!"

Hidan: "Aaaaahhh—! Pfft…"

Deidara: "Hm? Hidan fainted. Oh well, let him go meet his Jashin in his dreams. Yeah… hm."

Ōnoki: "That's it? It's already over?"

Gengetsu Hōzuki: "What, were you expecting the Jashin to sit up like a corpse doing sit-ups or something?"

Ōnoki: "That's not what I mean. It just feels strange. After Nagi broke through to the Six Paths level, he completely overwhelmed the Jashin. That Jashin should also be at the Six Paths level, right? Normally there should've been some back-and-forth before the battle ended."

Madara Uchiha: "Hmph. Kid from the Two Scales—Nagi had already accumulated enough chakra of all seven natures to reach the Six Paths tier long ago. He simply preferred fighting by slowly building up his strength."

"Breaking into the Six Paths level merely allowed the chakra he had stored up to erupt all at once."

Orochimaru: "Exactly. Don't underestimate the chakra Nagi accumulated over the past few years through… dual cultivation."

"At the time, only his Fire Release and Earth Release chakra were slightly lacking. But when Samui was injured, the rapid circulation of his other five chakra natures drove the extreme transformation and fusion of Fire and Earth chakra as well."

Ōnoki: "I see. So Nagi had already stockpiled chakra at the Six Paths level, and Samui's incident simply became the catalyst for his breakthrough."

Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki: "In that case… that creature should be completely gone now."

Naruto Uzumaki: "Huh? Sage Grandpa, do you know that Jashin monster?"

Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki: "Yes. That entity should be the same evil being I encountered long ago."

"At that time, I had just sealed Satori inside the Box of Ultimate Bliss."

"But just as it was about to be sealed, a strange spiritual entity emerged from its body. That was the Jashin you just saw."

"That spiritual body possessed tremendous power. I had to battle it for quite some time before weakening and sealing it."

"I never expected it would escape again."

Madara Uchiha: "I see. No wonder Nagi said it was originally much stronger but revived too early."

"It seems its power hadn't fully recovered, and the body it possessed also had its own limits."

Nagi: "Yes. If that Jashin had been at full strength… the me in the video would probably have been forced into a long battle of attrition and sealing techniques."

Hiruzen Sarutobi: "It's good that it was destroyed."

"However, it seems our world also has traces of the Jashin cult. Fortunately, the Jashin hasn't awakened here."

Fourth Raikage (A): "Hmph! Those Jashin cultists—clean your necks and wait for me!"

The Screen Continues…

Nagi walked over to the girls.

He first restored some of Sasuke's Yin Release chakra, then picked up Samui and began healing her with Yang Release chakra.

Not long after, Samui slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing Nagi's warm smile, she immediately understood.

"So… you defeated that thing?"

"Yeah. Not even ashes were left."

"Good work."

Looking at Samui in his arms, Nagi felt a strange emotion stirring within him.

Samui also sensed something different about Nagi, and her own heart began to beat faster.

The atmosphere between them grew warmer.

Their faces slowly moved closer…

Just then—

"Ahem."

Both of them snapped back to their senses.

They turned toward the sound and saw Hinata and the others, dragging a group of people bound with ropes.

Hinata said:

"Nagi, I discovered that part of the chakra inside these people resembles that monster's chakra. And their behavior has been extremely suspicious."

"We're innocent!"

"We don't know anything!"

"That's right!"

The Jashin cultists began desperately making excuses.

Nagi gently set Samui down and walked straight toward one of them.

He raised his hand above the man's head.

"Shallow Mind Reading."

A purple glow appeared in Nagi's palm.

Moments later—

He clenched his hand.

The man's head exploded like a watermelon.

"Trash."

From the memories he had read, Nagi had already learned information about the Jashin and the countless atrocities committed by these cultists.

He then expanded his chakra sensing and captured everyone whose chakra resembled that of the Jashin.

"This incident was extremely dangerous," Nagi said.

"We should report it to the Hokage and have him take over the investigation as soon as possible."

"Mm." ×6

Soon after, Nagi used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport himself, the girls, and the captured cultists away.

Konoha – Hokage Office

Nagi and the others reported everything to Minato Namikaze.

Minato listened with a deep frown, but finally relaxed slightly after hearing the conclusion.

"I'm glad you're all safe."

"I'll send people to the Land of Hot Water to investigate this matter thoroughly."

"As for those Jashin cultists… I'm sure Ibiki Morino and Inoichi Yamanaka will get plenty of information out of them."

Evening – Samui's Residence in Konoha

Ding-dong.

"Coming."

Samui opened the door.

Standing outside was Nagi… holding a cooking pot.

He smiled awkwardly.

"Ahem… I, uh… made too much food tonight."

"If you don't mind, would you like to try some?"

Samui paused briefly.

Then the corners of her lips curved upward.

She clearly understood what was going on—but chose not to expose him.

Walking behind Nagi, she said:

"Well, since you're already here… why not come in and eat together?"

Before Nagi could respond, she gently pushed him into the house—

and locked the door behind them.

The screen turned black.

After dinner, they cleaned up the dishes.

Then they sat facing each other on the sofa.

Samui asked softly:

"So, Nagi… did you come here tonight for something else?"

"Uh… yeah."

Nagi looked directly into her eyes and said sincerely:

"About today… I'm sorry."

"You got seriously injured because of me."

Samui had already expected this.

"Nagi, you don't need to apologize. Saving you was the right thing to do."

"If anything… I should be the one apologizing."

She stood up and sat down beside him.

"Because I wasn't strong enough, you had to split your attention to save me."

"But honestly… I was a little happy."

"For once, I felt like I was finally able to help you."

"So…"

Samui wrapped her arms around Nagi from behind.

"Nagi, I will never regret what I did today."

"And you don't need to blame yourself."

"Because I've always liked the Nagi who stays calm and composed no matter what happens."

Nagi froze for a moment at her sudden confession.

But he quickly recovered and smiled.

"Yeah… I like you too, Samui."

Both of them laughed softly.

Then their lips slowly moved closer—

until they finally met.

After a long while, they separated.

Samui leaned gently against Nagi's shoulder and said expectantly:

"Nagi… don't go back tonight."

"Stay here with me."

"Uh… isn't that a little inappropriate?"

"What's the problem? Haven't I stayed over at your place before?"

"That was with Shizuka and Yuno there too…"

Samui suddenly stood up and pulled Nagi forward—

burying his face between her ample chest.

"This is my house."

"If you don't satisfy me tonight… I'm not letting you go home."

After all—

no one refuses meat that walks straight to their door.
