I quickly asked him what my mission would be.
Steven looked at me and said, "Leo, I should warn you first. This mission could be a little dangerous."
I immediately asked, "So what is the mission?"
Then Steven said something. I didn't expect.
"I will make a sword for you."
The moment I heard that Steven himself would make a sword for me, I felt happy inside. But then he continued.
"For the blade, you will need to bring some materials."
I nodded and said, "Alright."
Then he told me that he needed a special type of crystal.
I directly asked, "Where can I find it?"
Steven replied, "If you travel towards the east, you will find a cave. Inside that cave there is a very rare crystal. It releases a strange kind of molecules in atmoshphere. But because of that, a very dangerous monster guards that cave."
I asked what kind of monster it was.
Steven said calmly, "A serpent… half human and half snake."
Hearing that made me a little nervous. But this time I trusted myself. I looked at him and said firmly,
"I will go."
Steven then went to his room and brought two things.
First, he gave me a crystal ball.
"If you ever get into serious danger," he said, "just break this crystal and you will teleport back to me."
Then he gave me his katana.
"This was the first katana my master gave me."
I was honestly very happy to hold that blade.
After that he handed me a map, and I finally began my journey.
I moved through the forest for a long time. On the way I found a tree full of fruits. I ate a few and kept some inside my bag.
After following the map for a while, I finally found the cave.
The moment I stepped inside, I sensed many goblins.
At first I pulled out my blade. But then I stopped.
I thought it would be better to save the sword for the final fight.
So I put it back.
Soon a group of goblins rushed toward me. Without wasting any time, I attacked them.
Within a few minutes, I defeated them all. with my combat skill.
Then I went deeper into the cave.
After walking for a while, I finally saw them.
Many glowing crystals were placed in front of me.
I ran toward them and touched one of the crystals.
But the moment I did that, I suddenly felt a sharp object flying toward me.
I quickly dodged it.
The sharp object struck the crystal, and a loud sound echoed through the entire cave. Suddenly, two glowing eyes appeared above me in the darkness, and whatever it was slowly started descending toward me.
Then the monster finally appeared.
A serpent… half human and half snake.
It looked at me with cold eyes and said,
"You entered my cave without permission. And now you are trying to steal my crystals. I will not forgive you."
I smiled slightly and replied,
"What if I take them anyway?"
The serpent became furious. It cast a spell and many sharp objects started flying toward me.
I dodged most of them, and the ones I couldn't dodge, I kicked away.
Suddenly the serpent appeared right in front of me and tried to cut my head off. I quickly stepped back.
Then I looked at him and said in a cold voice,
"Now I will show you the result of five years of training."
My voice echoed across the cave.
I jumped forward and kicked him directly in the face. Then I threw several punches and sent him flying backward.
But it was clear that my normal punches were not doing much damage.
So I decided to release my aura.
But before I could do that, he threw another sharp object. It cut my cheek slightly.
That small cut made me angry.
Using my inner aura, I attacked him again.
He managed to dodge some of my attacks, but then I copied one of Steven's moves.
I punched his face and instantly moved behind him, striking his back with a powerful elbow.
This time the attack affected him and he crashed into the ground.
But the serpent quickly healed himself.
Then he threw a magic ball toward me. I knew that if it touched me, the fight would be over.
So I kept dodging.
But suddenly he appeared in back of me and landed a heavy punch on me.
Then he said,You are just a child whose mother never taught him anything
For a moment, memories flashed in my mind…
The anger I had buried for five years finally exploded.
I looked at him and said,
"And today… this child will become the reason for your death."
He started laughing.
That made me even angrier.
Finally, I pulled out the sword from my lower back and red energy exploded around my body, while black red aura burned like flames around the blade.
In the next moment, I cut off the monster's right arm.
The serpent screamed in pain while threatening to kill me, and at the same time its arm started regenerating.
So I cut off the other arm as well to stop it from attacking .
Then I looked at my blade, took my stance, and took a deep breath.
And with all my strength, I used my attack.
