~Ozpin~
I stood at the entrance of the police station, watching as Myst walked off in a direction as I took a sip of coffee from my mug. He wasn't going the direction of where he lived on record.
"Did you get what you were looking for, Headmaster?" I heard Glynda say beside me, my eyes glancing over to her as I let out a low hum.
"I did, our conversation was quite telling." A semblance that gave a reward that could be anything? Unheard of. Whether that anything was truly anything remains to be seen, but if that bow of his also came from it then this could truly be the life that everything can come to an end.
I shook my head as a stray thought made its way up, a simpler time, a time before I had to use promising huntsman to fight my battles for me. Sigh. Why did it come to this?
"Please do keep a close eye on young Nix, Glynda. He will be needed at his best possible state when the time comes." She nodded, her face holding a neutral expression before she seemed to think for a moment.
"Does he know about the magic in his bow?"
"I believe so." He was trying to hide some information but he wasn't the best at it, and the way he used it was clearly of one who understood parts of it yet did not know how to wield a bow.
Shaking my head, I walked off as Glynda began to closely follow. I have high hopes for the boy. If his semblance is truly capable of giving anything.
I believe he will be the one to end this curse.
――――――――――――――――――――――
~Myst~
Damn explanation only popped up after I had asked for it, not like there was a manual for this thing. Sigh. Just ignore last night Myst, you'll be fine.
I stared out the window of the bullhead I was on, watching the clouds pass and looking down upon the city as people talked all around me. Everyone was excited they were heading to Beacon, having incredibly high hopes for themselves while unaware that a lot of them would probably be some of the few to die young during a mission.
While I stared down at the city of Vale, I glanced around and saw a few other prominent people. Jaune was huddled over trying not to throw up, Ruby was talking with Yang who had some huge tits god damn, focus. I even saw Blake sitting on one of the seats just way in the corner.
Soon a projection of Glynda showed up in place of the news, and while she spoke of how prestigious Beacon was and how we were the lucky few to be accepted, I decided now was a good a time as any to roll my tickets.
I'll start with the gold trait, save the best for last and all.
Rolling Gold Trait Gacha...
A Rare Trait
[Peerless]
[Rarity: Rare]
You are peerless in bed, you can quickly adapt to your partners' preferences and learn their weak spots in bed, you improve at the tantric arts much faster also, none will leave your bed unsatisfied.
Wow. How... awesome.
Okay it's not awful, but I would have preferred a combat oriented trait more. But ask any guy, they would never refuse being undisputed in sex.
Platinum time.
Rolling Platinum Random Gacha with advantage...
[Item - Deep Sea Anchor]
[Rarity: Elite]
Black Souls - The Anchor wielded by the Knight of the Deep Seas blessed by the blessing of the Secret Princess. Wielding this anchor doubles your strength and boosts the power of all water-based abilities.
Or
[Familiar - Horus]
[Rarity: Elite]
JoJo - Horus is an autonomous stand connected to you by the soul. It manifests as a bird-like creature of ice if it chooses to. Horus has the ability of Cryokinesis, being able to expend your energy to launch icicles, freeze targets, drop ice boulders, and create a variety of ice constructs and can act even without your input. The power of Horus scales with yours due to their natures as a stand.
Wow, that is not bad at all. Both were pretty good but there was no reason to pick the anchor. Sure double strength would be nice but I have no water abilities. So why not just strengthen my one item and keep the theme.
Choosing Horus, it felt like something clicked inside of me, like a door being unlocked. Without thinking I called upon that feeling as I watched ice begin to form in front of my eyes as I stared at its yellow eyes.
Its torso was somewhat long, the reason for that being the six arms it had as the torso led to two talons as its feet.
"Woah Renny! Check out that freaky bird!" A loud voice brought me out of my thoughts as I glanced over to my right, a orange haired girl was pointing at me as a black haired boy stood next to her. I realized instantly that it was Ren and Nora, but as I looked to where she was pointing closer, it wasn't to me but to Horus.
That is not shocking huh? A stand is the manifestation of the soul, semblances and aura are just the soul being used offensively and defensively, so naturally a person with aura should be able to see a stand, or can everyone in this world see it regardless? Food for thought I suppose.
Seeing how it was quite rude to yell at someone, the pair walked up to me, making me briefly look the two over as I had to say, Nora had incredible thighs. Can not fault a man for noticing. "Yes, he is a rather "freaky bird" as you described..."
"Nora Valkyrie! Nice to meet ya!" Yeah ow, she was loud just to be loud huh.
"Lie Ren, I apologize for her volume." Chill guy I could tell, but damn if he didn't sound slightly emo.
I waved off his concern, mentally pulling Horus back to whatever familiar space he rested in as I looked to their eyes. "Myst Nix, a pleasure." Now that small introductions were out of the way, Nora sat right next to me and began poking me.
"So is that freaky bird your semblance? Kinda weird not gonna lie. But he looked cold, is he cold?" Nora began bombarding me with questions as she poked me insistently, like she wanted me to bring Horus back out as I noticed Ren sigh and rub his eyes like he's used to this.
"Yes and no, yeah it's weird, and yes he is very cold." I answered back while ignoring all other questions she threw out, instead looking towards Ren. "Deal with this often?"
"You have no idea." "Hey!"
We both chose to ignore Nora's outburst as a voice rang out.
We will be arriving shortly at our destination, please be prepared for your stop.
"Well looks like we're close, I'll see you two later, probably." I got up, waving at the two before walking around, wanting to be close to the exit once we landed but also to look out the window again peacefully.
Even from here you could see the impressive stature of Beacon. A large tower was in the center as the rest of the buildings were placed around it. It looked small from up here but you could tell the place was huge.
Shortly after I glanced at Beacon, the Bullhead began to dock on the cliffside. As it did, everyone gathered at the door as it began to open up, slowly opening to the platform as Jaune pushed by and ran out first, immediately vomiting into a trash can as I walked past, another face in the crowd of accepted students.
This is it, the true start of this new life.
Time to lock in.
A/N: He got Horus! A really good pick considering Myst's only weapon is a ice bow. Hope yall enjoy the chapter, would've come out yesterday but I got sick, still am just a bit better. Next chapter will hopefully be next week.
Also, any ideas for teams? I could go the standard cliche of one man team or something but I'm curious if you guys have any suggestions. If you do I'll read through them and make a choice from them.
