The first thing on Cid's list was saving himself. After that, his second priority was to save his classmates.
Cid quickly jumped in to help them. As Cid's summons were distracting the goblins, Cid got the perfect chance to hit them from behind.
"BANG!" Cid swung his old metal pole with everything he had. The rod crashed into the goblin's head, killing it in one blow
Even though the fight didn't last a few seconds, Cid felt exhausted.
This time, instead of just leaving the body be, Cid took the goblin's dagger.
It looked and felt like a normal dagger, except it was made of tooth or bone. Cid couldnt tell which one it was, but he was sure it was either one of those.
The dagger was blunt, and when he tried to test its sharpness, it didn't do well at all. Maybe because it wasn't sharpened well, but it felt like it couldn't cut anything.
"Th-an-k y-ouu," stuttred student B in disbelief. Even though Cid was not very good at figuring out expressions, he could easily tell that the student was scared.
"Don't worry about it," Cid reassured him.
As Cid looked around the lecture hall, the scene looked straight out of a horror movie. Desks shattered, the scent of blood everywhere filled the room.
"Huff, I need to go outside," Cid sighed. "I really hope my friends are still alive," Cid said again.
As Cid went near the exit, he saw something.
A certain someone was right outside his lecture hall, about to step inside the classroom.
It was Cid's best friend.
Cid froze.
The person staring at him from inside was a familiar face.
For a second, Cid thought he was hallucinating.
"Heyy, Cid, what's up?" Cid's best friend asked.
"I'm doing alright to say the least.... Anyways, Shuren, what about you?" Cid asked Shuren.
Shuren has been Cid's best friend since Seventh grade. Their friendship was special; it sometimes felt unbreakable.
"To be honest, I'm not doing very well. It's been hell since the goblins appeared," Shuren said, sounding sad.
"Anyways, what skill did you get?" Cid asked him.
"I got an A-rank skill. It's called dragon's armour," Shuren said in a happy tone. "Ha, I also got the highest rank skill among all my classmates!"Shuren shouted.
"Nice! I got an S- Rank skill, it's called Necromancer," Cid said, half lying. " I can bring monsters back from the dead."
"WHAT! THAT IS AN OP SKILL." Shuren shouted in disbelief.
"I know, right?" Cid said with a grin on his face. "Anyways, how many people in your class died?" Cid asked.
"Hmm, I think two people died, that's very sad for me," Shuren told Cid.
Shuren was tall and a bit chubby. He has black hair and light skin. He likes talking and is below average in studying. He was also more emotional than most people.
"Dude, only like two people survived in my class," Cid said, looking confused.
Shuren's eyes widened in shock. Before he could respond, a roar echoed down the hallway. Something much larger than a normal goblin was coming.
