Damon's low laugh lingered over the crater.
From the broken wall of the throne room, the Olympians watched in silence. Apollo remained at the bottom of the crater, tangled in roots that kept him immobilized while slowly closing the wounds on his body.
Artemis, still inside the palace, gritted her teeth, furious that she could not get up fast enough to throw herself at the blond again. Ares, Hermes, and several minor gods were in similar states, too beaten and with their pride completely shattered to even try doing anything.
But now, none of that mattered, because standing in front of Damon were Zeus and Poseidon. From what Damon had heard, they were the two strongest gods in Olympus, excluding Hades and Hestia. One because he was not in Olympus, and the other because her power was not really public, as she preferred to keep a low profile.
That said, many expected a great battle. After all, they were two of the Big Three, right? That was the thought crossing the minds of many minor gods and nymphs around them.
Zeus was not exactly having the best moment of his life right now. He had not responded to the blond's mockery, but having his authority as king questioned certainly did not sit well with the king of the gods.
Lightning ran across his arms, and every muscle in his body was ready to throw itself into the fight. But the reality was different: his eyes kept moving toward the crater where Apollo could barely groan in pain. The god of the sun was not weak, and neither was Artemis. Ares, Hermes, and Dionysus could be idiots on different levels, but they were still gods…
And yet, Damon had treated them like spoiled children… Little did Zeus know that his vision of what a god was had become very deteriorated.
As for Poseidon, he was not doing much better, but unlike Zeus, he did not immediately let rage cloud his judgment. The god of the sea looked at the boy in front of them and felt like garbage under his eyes. That made his nerves spike. The simple disappointment in Damon's gaze placed a heavy weight on his shoulders, and the god of the sea did not like that at all.
Putting those thoughts aside, Poseidon focused his attention on his younger brother.
"Zeus," Poseidon said in a low voice, without taking his eyes off the blond in front of him. "Don't attack recklessly."
The king of Olympus turned his head toward him.
"Are you giving me orders, Poseidon? Don't forget, this changes nothing. I still need my Master Bolt, the same one you stole from me."
"I already told you I have nothing to do with that, and I'm not giving you orders. I'm warning you," Poseidon answered, hardening his expression. "Didn't you see how this guy dispatched everyone? I'm trying to stop you from getting us all killed."
Poseidon's warning made Zeus's eyes widen with fury, but before he could respond, Damon let out a small laugh.
"Wow. So you still have some common sense left, Poseidon." His gaze shifted to the king of Olympus, and his smile widened. "Not to mention… how is it even possible for you to lose your weapon, Zeus? Are you really that pathetic?"
Poseidon did not answer, but Zeus's thoughts were elsewhere. His fury exploded again, caring less and less about Poseidon's warnings. Lightning began to fall over Olympus when the "king" of the gods raised one hand.
Damon looked up, watching the lightning form above his head. Honestly, with the passage of time and after completing a large part of his training with his domains, Damon had realized something quite simple: Zeus facing him was like a human trying to fight a god. Not because Zeus was weak, but because lightning, no matter how famous and feared it was in his hands, was still an extension of the sky. And he was, in simple terms, the owner and sovereign of the sky…
Zeus lowered his hand.
The lightning fell on Damon all at once, filling the crater with white light that forced several gods to cover their eyes from a distance. The sound of thousands of lightning bolts thundered throughout Olympus, but to everyone's surprise, before they could touch Damon, the blond moved his fingers. The lightning began to spin around him, clearly passing from one owner to another.
Zeus gritted his teeth. What the hell did this mean? His domain was no longer his domain. What kind of joke was this?
Damon closed his hand into a fist, and the lightning around him began to go out one by one. But before all of them disappeared, Poseidon appeared at his side with trident in hand, moving with far more precision than Ares and with far more strength than any of the young gods.
The weapon went straight for the blond's neck. Damon, already seeing this coming in slow motion, took one step back.
The trident passed in front of his throat with a roar, leaving a wave of pressure in the air as it cut through the space where his neck had been a second earlier.
Damon used the remaining lightning around him and launched it toward Poseidon. The god of the sea reacted quickly, moving through Olympus through the water, dodging the lightning while making sure none of it touched the currents surrounding him. One mistake there, and his own element would become a trap.
Poseidon appeared in front of Damon and drove his trident into the ground. A giant wave rose over Olympus.
At this rate, all of Olympus would end up flooded. That was the same thought that crossed the minds of many gods when they saw the giant wave.
At the same time, Zeus appeared above Damon with several spheres of lightning in his hands. Without wasting time, he threw them downward one after another.
Damon looked at both attacks and smiled. "That's a little better, at least."
The wave fell toward Damon with enough force to cover the entire platform. Damon raised one hand toward Poseidon, and the water split before touching him, opening into two giant currents that passed along his sides, destroying everything around him.
At the same time, Zeus's spheres of lightning arrived a second later. Damon turned his other hand upward, and several black balls of destruction appeared over his fingers before shooting toward the lightning spheres. They destroyed them instantly and continued toward Zeus, who covered himself with a thick layer of lightning.
The explosion was massive.
Zeus was sent flying and fell into the sea of water Poseidon had created.
The king of Olympus gritted his teeth and quickly tried to take flight, but the last thing he expected was for Damon to appear in front of him.
The blond raised his fist and unleashed a devastating blow straight to Zeus's face, pushing his head backward. The second hit landed in his stomach. The third in his ribs. The fourth on his jaw. Each punch came with a short burst of compressed wind and chakra, striking Zeus's vital points with precision and force.
Zeus tried to regain consciousness, but the blows were too fast. Damon was already on top of him again. Each impact made Zeus's body bend in a different direction, giving him no space to breathe.
The king released a mouthful of golden ichor, but before he could fall, Damon appeared behind him and drove his fist into his back, sending him forward.
Zeus barely managed to raise his head, only to see Damon in front of him again, his fist already pulled back.
Another one.
The punch landed before Zeus could even blink.
Another one.
Another one.
Another one.
The air around them exploded with every impact, forming constant shockwaves. Finally, Damon appeared above Zeus. The king of Olympus had unfocused eyes, his body covered in wounds and his face stained with golden ichor.
Damon clasped both hands above his head and, in an instant, brought both fists down.
The blow landed directly on the god's forehead with enough force to blow out the brains of anyone who did not have the durability of a god.
Zeus plummeted toward the crater, burying himself until he reached the edge of the small dimension of Olympus, ending up embedded in it.
Poseidon, who had seen how Zeus was literally used as a punching bag, appeared behind Damon with the clear intention of taking advantage of the second in which the blond had lowered his guard after disposing of the king of Olympus.
But what the god of the sea had not counted on was that this was exactly what Damon wanted.
Damon turned, raising one hand and stopping the advance of Poseidon's trident. The god of the sea's eyes opened wide when he saw the blond stop his weapon with his bare hand.
"Impossible," Poseidon said in a low voice.
Damon gave him a smile. "Ohhh, lil boy, you have no idea what's possible."
And with that said, Damon tightened his hand. One crack appeared in the trident, then another, spreading through the weapon while Poseidon opened his eyes, feeling the weapon he had held for eras begin to give way between the blond's fingers. He tried to pull it back, tried to regain control, but it was already too late.
The trident shattered into pieces in front of all of Olympus. Literally, the lord of the sea had just lost his weapon.......
