Darion stared at the words, very much shocked. A new skill. He hadn't expected that.
The rank-up had been surprising enough, but this was something else entirely. He had been stuck with the same two skills for so long: Death Perception and Distant Command, that he had almost forgotten that new skills were even possible.
He had assumed that his abilities would grow slowly, incrementally, that he would have to earn every scrap of power through grinding and effort.
But the system had just given him a third skill.
He stood very still, his eyes fixed on the notification.
Seren was still discussing with the archers, their voices low and casual, unaware of the monumental moment happening just a few feet away.
Darion pretended like he was examining the skies or trees when in reality he was just looking at his status screen, his heart pounding in his chest.
