Su Yan looked at Busujima Saeko and asked calmly, "Are you ready, Saeko-senpai?"
"Is it finally time?"
Saeko's purple eyes narrowed as she clenched her hands in mid-air, flexing her fingers. Her knuckles let out a series of crisp, rhythmic pops.
She let out a long breath, a slight smile tugging at the corners of her lips, her expression filled with anticipation. "I've been waiting for this day for a long time!"
With those words, an indescribable aura surged from Saeko's body.
It felt as though the purple-haired girl no longer belonged to the realm of humanity, but had instead become a bloodthirsty demonic blade about to be unsheathed.
"Good."
Su Yan nodded. He glanced at Miyamoto Rei and Takagi Saya inside the infirmary before turning his attention to Marikawa Shizuka. "Shizuka-nee!"
"Present!"

"I'm leaving those two in your care," Su Yan instructed.
Marikawa Shizuka patted her chest. "Mission accepted!"
Su Yan turned back to Saeko. "In that case, let's go, Saeko-senpai."
Without waiting for a reply, Su Yan turned and hopped onto the windowsill.
He leaped, diving straight toward the ground below.
"Su Yan?!"
Seeing Su Yan jump from the window, Miyamoto Rei's face paled, and a frantic scream escaped her lips.
She rushed to the window, leaning out to look down, desperately searching for any sign of him.
The Fujimi Academy infirmary was on the third floor, nearly six meters up. How could Rei not worry when Su Yan had jumped so recklessly?
However, she quickly spotted him standing safely on the ground.
He seemed perfectly fine, even waving back to show her he was unhurt.
Seeing this, the girl's heart finally settled.
"Miyamoto-kohai, you haven't been exposed to Nen yet. Just watch closely,"
Saeko said, patting Rei's shoulder to reassure her.
Then, she too stepped onto the windowsill.
Before jumping, the purple-haired girl called out to Su Yan below, "Su Yan-kun, I'm coming down. You'd better catch me, or I might just get angry."
Su Yan smiled.
It was only the third floor, and Busujima Saeko was a Nen user.
Did she really need him to catch her?
The answer was... yes!
The third floor was indeed trivial for Saeko.
With a body tempered by Nen, she wouldn't sustain a scratch even if she jumped from this height without using her aura.
But she wanted Su Yan to catch her.
Was that reason enough?
It was more than enough!
Su Yan clapped his hands and replied, "Don't worry, I'll catch you."
Hearing that, Saeko brushed a strand of hair from her forehead, looked down at Su Yan, stood on her tiptoes, spread her arms, and leaped.
Her body drifted down like a butterfly, yet her long skirt didn't flutter upward even once during the descent.
It was a total defiance of physics, as if she were determined to drag Newton out of his grave just to beat him repeatedly.
Su Yan opened his arms. A fragrant scent wafted toward him, followed immediately by a soft sensation.
Saeko landed right in his embrace.
"Su Yan-kun didn't lie to me. I'm very satisfied, so I've decided to give you a little reward."
Saeko rested her hands on Su Yan's shoulders and whispered softly into his ear.
Su Yan glanced around at their surroundings. "No rush. Let's talk about that later," he said calmly.
Perhaps due to the commotion they had caused, zombies were already starting to converge on their location.
With that, Su Yan let go of Saeko.
"How disappointing."
Saeko also saw the approaching zombies. Her lip curled slightly in dissatisfaction. "Fine, I'll hold you to it then."
"I'll take care of these things right now!"
Saeko reached out her hand.
Ling Zhan, its blade covered in purple patterns, instantly materialized in the air.
The girl gripped the freshly manifested longsword in one hand while gently stroking the blade with the other.
Saeko murmured, "Ling Zhan, you must be like me, longing for this day for a long time, right?"
She seemed to be talking to herself, or perhaps conversing with the blade.
However, Ling Zhan seemed to possess a will of its own; the blade trembled slightly, emitting a faint purple mist that swirled around it.
It was as if it were responding to her words.
"Now then, you monsters, are you ready to be my test subjects?"
Her gaze sharpened as she looked at the zombies, her grip on the hilt tightening.
If one looked closely, they would see that her body was trembling slightly.
It wasn't from fear.
It was an excitement rooted deep in her bones.
To put it in more chuunibyou terms, Saeko was starting to get fired up.
Saeko threw the Ling Zhan forward.
The blade's sharp edge glinted as it pierced through the skull of the leading zombie.
She stepped forward, pulling the sword from the zombie's head.
She followed up with a clean drawing slash.
Swish!
The heads of the front row of zombies went flying.
They crashed onto the ground in unison.
In the blink of an eye, countless zombies had fallen beneath her blade.
Saeko licked her lips. No matter how bright the blood splattering the ground was, it couldn't match the radiance of the girl in this moment.
She looked at the zombies still swarming toward them.
Joy! Pure joy!
This feeling of being able to kill without restraint.
This was exactly what she had been waiting for.
Under the moonlight, the girl's figure was breathtakingly beautiful.
It was as if she weren't killing, but dancing.
Each time she shifted her position, several bodies would fall.
If Saeko had felt like a lethal blade about to be drawn before the fight...
Then now, in the heat of battle, she no longer radiated that explosive pressure.
She looked more like a white elf dancing under the moonlight.
Elegant, beautiful, yet exceptionally deadly.
Su Yan couldn't help but tremble as he watched Saeko's graceful figure in the moonlight.
It wasn't just that he was stunned by her beauty.
It was also that as she continued to slay zombies with her blade...
He could feel it—Nen was constantly being synchronized into his body from the girl through their contract.
In just this short time, the increase in his Nen was enough to equal months of hard training.
This sensation of his strength skyrocketing like a rocket...
Su Yan could only say that the pleasure he felt was not a bit less than the joy Saeko felt in her slaughter.
Watching her fight made his own hands itch to join in.
However, he didn't choose to steal her kills.
Firstly, his desire for combat wasn't as intense as hers.
Secondly, the zombies were highly infectious. Although he didn't know if a Nen user's constitution provided resistance, he didn't want to gamble on it.
Even though he had warned Saeko to be careful, who knew if she would lose herself in the thrill of the kill and forget?
So Su Yan's current task was to watch from the sidelines, monitoring her condition and providing support to guard against any unforeseen accidents.
