Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Transcendent SSR

The next day.

Su Yan turned off his alarm on time and got out of bed.

He glanced at the sleeping Marikawa Shizuka beside him. Her delicate skin had a rosy glow, and her posture offered a scene of unbridled spring radiance.

Su Yan pulled up the quilt to cover her exposed beauty.

In her dreams, the blonde airhead beauty's brow was furrowed, a trace of lingering fear on her face as she muttered, "No more, I really can't eat another bite."

Hearing Shizuka's sleep talk, Su Yan couldn't help but lightly slap her rounded, perky buttocks beneath the quilt.

"I really can't do anything with you."

The blonde airhead beauty muttered something unintelligible, then rolled over and changed her posture to lie face down on the bed.

For a moment, Su Yan felt both exasperated and amused.

He rolled his eyes at Shizuka, first helping her correct her messy sleeping position.

Then he got up and changed into his clothes. After washing up, he left the bedroom, intending to prepare breakfast for the group in the kitchen.

To his surprise, as soon as he entered the living room, he saw Busujima Saeko busy in the kitchen.

"Good morning, Su Yan-kun."

Busujima Saeko acted as if nothing had happened. After greeting Su Yan, she continued with her work.

Su Yan froze for a moment before responding, "Good... good morning."

"Oh, right."

Saeko suddenly asked, "Su Yan-kun, is miso soup and grilled salmon with rice okay for breakfast today?"

Su Yan replied, "That's fine."

Actually, as long as the food was properly prepared, he wasn't a picky eater.

To him, the only difference was between 'delicious' and 'ordinary.'

However...

Seeing Saeko's nonchalant demeanor, Su Yan couldn't help but swallow hard and ask, "Saeko-senpai, are you okay?"

After what happened last night, if it were him, he'd probably wake up this morning wanting to turn into a socially dead Bocchi-chan.

How could she get up so early and make breakfast like nothing had happened?

Su Yan couldn't help but wonder if she was planning to poison their breakfast.

But the thought was dismissed as soon as it appeared.

Saeko was a hidden killer, sure, but she wasn't a yandere.

Because of Su Yan's words, Saeko recalled last night's scene. Her movements stiffened, then she looked at Su Yan. "Su Yan-kun."

Su Yan thought to himself, 'Here it comes.'

But what Saeko said next was beyond his expectations.

"Do you think Ms. Marikawa will accept me?" Saeko asked, her words shocking him to the core.

"Huh?!"

Su Yan's pupils dilated.

He never expected her to say something like that suddenly.

Noticing his shock, Saeko explained, "Didn't I say it before? I don't care who else is around you, as long as I'm one of them."

"So, I'm not here to break you two up; I'm here to join you."

Su Yan broke into a cold sweat, then felt a pang of guilt. He stepped forward and hugged Saeko. "Don't worry, Shizuka-nee really likes you."

Although he had long intended to build a harem, hearing Saeko's humble words still made him feel a twinge of guilt.

Of course, guilt or no guilt, the harem was happening.

That was a matter of principle.

He could only find other ways to compensate her.

"Is Ms. Marikawa not up yet?"

After enjoying Su Yan's warm embrace for a moment, Saeko pulled away and asked.

"Uh..."

Su Yan rubbed his nose and replied awkwardly, "Don't worry about her. Shizuka-nee loves to sleep in; she won't be up until lunchtime."

That was a lie.

The truth was, he had thoroughly exhausted her last night.

Without a doubt, Shizuka would need another day off today.

Having listened outside the door for half the night, how could Saeko not know what was going on?

However, she didn't expose him, instead following along with his answer. "Is that so? Then it seems we don't need to prepare breakfast for Ms. Marikawa."

"Alright, Su Yan-kun, go sit down and wait. Breakfast will be ready soon."

"Then I'll look forward to your cooking, Saeko-senpai." Su Yan nodded, then walked to the dining table and sat down, quietly watching Saeko's figure in the kitchen while waiting.

Having been in this world for over a year, he had cooked many meals, but sitting at the table waiting for someone else to serve food—that was a first.

After all, Marikawa Shizuka was not only a lazy airhead but also a complete disaster in the kitchen.

Since she picked him up and brought him home, the first time she tried to cook for him, she nearly blew up the kitchen. Since then, he had never let her step foot in there again.

"How does it taste?"

Soon, Saeko brought the prepared breakfast to Su Yan and asked expectantly.

Su Yan took a sniff of the aroma wafting through the air.

Judging by the scent alone, this breakfast was already a success.

Even if it didn't perfectly suit his taste, it definitely wouldn't be bad.

Su Yan took a sip of the miso soup and gave the highest praise.

"Umai!"

Though it was a bit of an exaggeration, it was indeed delicious.

Besides, people from this country often liked to use hyperbolic words.

So, Su Yan giving such an evaluation didn't seem out of place.

"I'm glad you like it."

A flash of joy crossed Saeko's face, clearly satisfied with his answer. Then she said, "Su Yan-kun, I have something to tell you. Do you remember the 'Hatsu' from the four major principles of Nen you told me about yesterday?"

"You want to develop your own ability?"

Su Yan shook his head. "You just learned Nen. This is a bit too early for you. Continue practicing for a while until you've completely mastered Ten, Zetsu, and Ren."

"When the time comes, I'll tell you about the six Nen categories derived from Hatsu. Once you've determined which category you belong to, you can try developing an ability within that system."

"But..."

Hearing this, Saeko gave Su Yan a strange look. "I've already succeeded."

As she spoke, the girl held out her hand, and a long sword, very similar to her usual white oak bokken, condensed in her palm.

However, its appearance was slightly different.

Not only had the material changed from white oak to some unknown black metal, but the blade was also covered in strange purple patterns.

Furthermore, a mysterious, eerie pale-purple mist swirled around the blade, vibrating in the air as if it were about to slice through space itself.

"What did you say?"

Su Yan nearly spat out the miso soup he had just swallowed.

He looked at Saeko in disbelief.

Wait, what do you mean you've already succeeded?

And what's with this overly cool-looking sword?

You only just came into contact with Nen, and you've already developed your own ability?

Is this the gap between a genius and an ordinary person?

If I give you more time to grow, won't you be punching Chairman Netero and kicking the Chimera Ant King?

'I'm jealous of your talent!'

'Wait, you say this talent is partly mine too?'

'Then it's fine.'

Su Yan looked at Saeko, his eyes flashing with unprecedented brilliance.

This is clearly a transcendent, super rare SSR waifu with a promising future!
