The door opened, but no familiar faces greeted Daniel. Instead, it was a smug-looking beta who had fox-like eyes, and Daniel felt uncertain when he looked at the man.
"I am sorry, but I am not interested in buying anything from you. Please leave."
Daniel's words sounded a little wet as he tried to control his feelings. He could tell that he was doing a terrible job of keeping his emotions in check.
The person in front of him smiled, and that made Daniel feel even worse. He was about to close the door when the unknown man moved with his unsettling smile.
"Sir, I am not here to sell you something big. All I want to share with you is information. Someone special sent me here to keep you up to date with what's going on. Are you still not going to allow me to enter?"
The stranger asked, and Daniel felt alarm bells go off inside his head.
