'The EXP requirement increased after reaching level 70, but the points from the title, the gauntlets, plus the levels I gained, and the +100 to all stats attribute every 10 levels... they boosted my stats a lot, and thanks to the rewards from the elven village, I have plenty of points...'
Due to the recent activities and trouble they had run into, Ryan knew or could well imagine what the rest of his life in this world would look like.
So, after some reflection, he began to distribute his stat points.
100 points into stamina, 50 points into Psyche, and 90 points into strength.
'With this, I already have three attributes at 1k points...'
Although he wasn't at a high enough level to reach A-rank, because of the massive amount of accumulated points, he was at least certain of one thing: he was much stronger and more durable now.
With his current attributes, he was clearly no ordinary support, especially given the sheer number of points he had in strength and stamina.
'I feel like I'm cheating, but it's ridiculous that a human being ends up in another world just like that. At least I have this system advantage, otherwise, what would become of me?'
After the long journey, they walked into the adventurers' guild and headed over to speak with Sophia, who received them with doubt in her eyes.
Ryan figured she was probably curious about what they had to discuss with the Duke.
"I'm not telling you anything," Helen told Sophia, who wouldn't stop staring at them.
"I'm not interested in you telling me anything, I'll find out later anyway."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, just give me the mission details."
"Helen, you are always so impatient," Ryan interjected, after Helen turned to look at him with a pout, her cheeks puffed out.
Ryan turned to look at Mirian and added.
"Learn from Mirian, she's always calm. No, wait... she's suicidal, better not use her as an example."
"But Ryan! Just forget about that!"
"Haha," they laughed.
Then Sophia handed him the mission details.
Since it was a direct request from the guild, they didn't have to worry about the rule of finishing in less than a week.
She clarified that it would actually take them four days to reach that city, and she estimated that they would return in twelve days at most this time.
"And don't fail the mission this time, you morons, if you do I'll revoke your licenses!"
Ryan's party gestured enthusiastically. They left the guild, headed over to a transport caravan, and climbed aboard after paying for their fare. Only the three of them and an old man were in the same carriage.
"The journey will be long and we'll make few stops, so hold on tight."
The carriage driver commented before moving forward.
The trip was more or less peaceful. Although they encountered monsters along the way, they didn't need to get down from the wagon; the simple fact that Mirian was there was a massive advantage for everyone.
She just had to shoot arrows from the carriage, and in a matter of seconds, she would finish off any threat.
By the evening of the fourth day, they finally arrived in the city.
It was quite lively, and they saw more people than they expected.
'How can a place be so heavily populated when they have the threat of the demon king so close by?'
"I haven't been here since I was a child," Mirian commented.
"Really? And did you come with Helen?"
"No, we didn't even know each other back then."
"Yeah, I met this idiot about four years ago," Helen responded mockingly.
"I see. That explains why you get along so well."
"We don't get along!" they grumbled in unison.
As they moved through the city, Ryan paused for a moment. A little blue-haired girl was strolling through the air, wearing an ordinary dress that was neither elegant nor noteworthy.
She floated around as if it were nothing, and nobody seemed to be surprised.
"Inspect."
But what he saw left him somewhat surprised.
A mage, but her stats were all at 100 points. And her Psyche was rapidly decreasing as she drifted away, maintaining her position in the air.
'No rank? Must be because she's just a child. Her title is Wizard Cursed, how strange.'
"Hey Ryan, don't get distracted, let's keep moving."
"Yes."
And they kept walking toward an inn; they needed to rent a place to stay during those days soon. Before entering the inn.
An anxious voice echoed in the distance.
"Please help my daughter, please help her."
A man came running straight toward the inn, carrying a very young girl. She could easily look like an elementary schooler.
The man was screaming that his daughter had been poisoned.
The man entered the inn.
"Please help."
Since Ryan's party was supposed to enter that very inn, they went inside as well; the man was crying.
"Ryan, maybe you should help her," Helen intervened.
"Yeah, she's just a little girl," Mirian added.
'I don't mind healing her, but...'
Ryan approached them; the girl's father was kneeling on the floor with the girl in his lap.
"Make way, Ryan will save her!"
"Save her? Is he a Healer?"
"No, I am a Priest, but the basic spell is enough to heal her."
"Are you serious?" The girl's father stood up.
"Of course."
Ryan stepped closer and pointed his hand toward the girl's stomach.
"Recovery."
The girl opened her eyes and began to cry upon seeing her dad, who hugged her.
The gathered crowd applauded Ryan's feat.
Then Helen approached.
"I thought this intervention might benefit us in some way."
"What do you mean?" Ryan asked.
"Well, how should I put it, you helping her out. It will make us known quickly, and maybe we can find a mage here who wants to join the party so we can go back to the dungeon."
"I see, so that was it."
Ryan approached the girl and patted her head.
"Let's see, from today onward, I order you not to disobey or worry your parents, understood?"
"Yes, thank you very much, mister healer."
[Debt collection applied]
[Debt bonus: +50 Points]
[Debt bonus: +45,000 XP]
'I know the effect of the orders only lasts for a few minutes, but that handles it.'
Once everyone had calmed down, Ryan sat in one of the chairs at a table inside the inn.
And while he was talking with Helen and Mirian,
a shrill, very high-pitched voice began speaking to him from nearby.
"Heh heh heh, you adventurers are in luck."
The voice came from a blue-haired girl, her height quite similar to the girl Ryan had just healed.
'Is that the same one who was flying?'
"What do you want from us? You brat, you'd better go find your parents."
"Helen, don't call her that. Can't you see she's really cute? She looks so adorable," Mirian said as she ruffled her hair with affection.
"I'm not a child! I'm the most powerful mage in this city!"
"Yeah, right," Ryan looked at her sideways.
'I'm going to ignore her.'
"Don't ignore me! You guys were talking about recruiting a mage, right?"
She lifted her gaze high and added,
"Well, here I am!"
