'Great, now I should better distribute my points so I won't die from a single hit. Well, as long as one of them doesn't hit me with all her power.' He analyzed the potential difficulties he might face with his new companions.
As a support, the logical choice would be to distribute his points into Psyche to increase his mana.
But now he had doubts about that. If he could get more points through his debt skill, then he could distribute them differently. At least for now, raising his defense and strength seemed like the best option.
Since, after analyzing his situation coldly, he realized that he didn't have a single weapon.
So, without overthinking it, he distributed his remaining points into strength and defense.
Although Ryan was curious to know how luck would affect him from now on, considering it had reached the maximum. And it was another attribute that probably nobody else possessed.
"Ryan, what are you thinking about that you've been staring at that wall for so long?" Mirian asked as she came out of the bathroom. She had a towel around her neck, and her light clothing revealed her white, toned abdomen, with a very small mole near her right rib.
She was wearing a pair of shorts and a sleeveless shirt, with damp spots on her skin from being freshly washed.
Ryan blinked and closed the screen. "It's nothing. But how much longer are we staying here?"
"Here in the dungeon? Well..." Until we get a weapon for you," Mirian explained. "That's what we agreed on, right?"
'A weapon? That sounds good... but they said it was likely that demons would attack the dungeon. Without a weapon, I wouldn't even be able to level up, but I can't stay here like this either.'
Mirian approached and sat in front of Ryan.
She extended her hand, a ring on her finger glowed, and a bow covered in a bright aura appeared.
"Helen and I have epic weapons," Mirian continued, pointing at the artifact. "It's not fair that, being on the same team, you still don't have a rare or epic weapon. Especially since your staff broke."
'How did I arrive in this world without weapons? Is this really the same game?'
Ryan reflected for a moment. He still couldn't be sure of the answer.
'Could it be that... this world doesn't follow the game rules one hundred percent? No, it doesn't matter. Either way, if I want to find out, I need to see the outside world...' he concluded in his mind.
Then he directed his gaze toward Mirian and asked:
"Are there other people coming to this floor? We're on the hundredth floor, right?"
"Of course not," Helen replied, after crossing the bathroom door and walking over to where they were. She sat on the edge of the furniture where Mirian was sitting.
Helen crossed her legs and added, "After all, this place is hard to find."
"Yeah," Mirian continued. "If it weren't for the fact that that dragon made us fly... who would imagine there'd be a dungeon in the sky?"
"That really surprised me; even the guild members never mentioned anything like that," Helen commented.
At the girls' comments, Ryan let out a faint sigh.
'A dungeon in the sky? A dragon... well, I'm trapped in a game. Those things shouldn't surprise me,' he thought, then stared at them.
"But then... how far are we from a city? Wait, and how long have we been here? Is anyone keeping track?"
"I've already forgotten," Helen replied instantly.
Mirian tapped her chin thoughtfully. "If I'm not mistaken, we've been here for 26 days... though it only took us 18 days to reach this floor. After killing the boss, we kept the refuge, but unfortunately we didn't find any more epic weapons. Though the monsters here are S-rank and give a lot of experience."
"Used to give us, you mean," Helen corrected. "Now that we're S-rank, they don't give any experience no matter how many we kill..."
"Yeah, you're right," Mirian sighed.
"You guys are S-rank... but I'm still B-rank," Ryan complained in a low voice.
Helen smiled. "That's normal. A support's job doesn't require anything other than mana. And you're a B-rank support, probably the only one in the capital."
"Nowadays, it's very hard to find B-rank or A-rank supports," Mirian pointed out gently.
"Tsk, that's why we didn't look for another one... and we have to put up with you being such a pervert..." Helen uttered in a low voice.
Ryan frowned and stared at her.
"But Helen, you know I don't do it on purpose."
Mirian smiled, trying to ease the tension. "Alright, alright, calm down. Even if there were another B-rank support, we'd never leave you, right, Helen?"
"Yeah, yeah," Helen grumbled softly.
"You should be more honest," Mirian teased, looking at her out of the corner of her eye.
Helen huffed.
"Mirian, Helen," Ryan interrupted.
Both of them looked at him attentively.
"How about we clear the dungeon again?"
"What!" "Of course not, that would be a pain. Right, Mirian?"
"Calm down, Helen," Mirian intervened. Looking at him intently, she asked, "But Ryan, why are you suggesting that?"
"It's just that... maybe I'll find a weapon if we start from scratch," Ryan explained.
'It would be logical to think that if I don't have a weapon, it's because I didn't kill any monsters. Starting from the first floor, with my boosted stats, I could get something, and even if I don't, I could gain more experience and level up.'
Ryan evaluated in his mind, while Mirian considered it for a moment.
"I see... Although we've been here for several days and found nothing, maybe we should leave. But this dungeon doesn't have a portal. Going to the first floor is actually... clearing the dungeon in reverse."
"That's why I say it's really annoying," Helen complained again.
"But it's not like we're going to stay and live here forever, don't you think?" Ryan pointed out.
Mirian nodded.
"You're right," Helen admitted, sighing. "Besides, I don't want to keep eating the same thing..."
"...Well, even though Mirian cooks better than I do, eating animals that grow naturally in the dungeon is disgusting," Helen added, shuddering.
Everyone fell silent.
After processing it for a while, Ryan broke the silence.
"Then let's go. We've already spent too many days in the dungeon."
They nodded. After a moment, they put on their armor and everyone left the refuge. The monsters in the area they had cleared hadn't respawned yet. According to Helen and Mirian, each one respawned an hour after dying, so they went straight to the 99th floor.
"Tsk... Undead. I hate fighting those things," Helen complained, drawing her weapon.
"Ryan," Mirian spoke, tilting her head.
'I know what you want. I'm not that stupid.'
"Physical Enhancement."
"Magic Enhancement."
Ryan chanted his support skills, and the heroines' bodies lit up as they received the enchantments and posed to fight.
Helen looked at him over her shoulder, a small blush on her cheeks.
"You'd better have a decent order for me this time."
