Sarah had just finished stirring the sugar into her coffee when a familiar voice greeted her from behind.
"Hi."
She gave a small start and turned around, only to find a young man smiling warmly at her. Relief immediately softened her expression, and she returned the smile without hesitation.
"We meet again," he said as he walked over, holding an empty mug in one hand.
Sarah smiled politely, lightly swirling the coffee in her cup before setting the spoon aside.
"Hi, Alvin. How have you been?"
The man's grin widened with obvious delight.
"You still remember my name?"
"Of course." Sarah laughed softly. "You're Alvin Rodney, aren't you?"
He nodded enthusiastically.
"And you're Sarah McKaley." He extended a hand dramatically before chuckling. "Nice to finally run into you here in the pantry."
Sarah accepted the playful greeting with another smile.
"It's nice to see you too."
