Chapter 86 - Chapter 86 The End of The Kizuki

The name Doma was bestowed by Muzan.

As for his own name, in the long passage of years, even he himself had forgotten it.

Due to being born with rainbow-colored pupils and pure oak-colored hair, his deluded parents believed Doma was a divine child who could hear the voices of the gods.

Thus, the Eternal Paradise Faith was founded.

"What gods exist in this world? All just self-deceiving fantasies."

Doma had understood this truth since he was four or five years old.

Born with a lack of emotions, he was utterly unable to comprehend what the believers who worshipped him daily as a divine child, weeping and praying for him to send them to paradise, were doing.

He only found these people pitiful.

Guided by years of accumulated negative emotions, Doma's feelings grew increasingly indifferent, until he completely ceased to feel any emotional fluctuations.

Later, he became a demon, becoming a truly immortal god.

"Too bad, though. Your soul lacks strong obsession and desire. Even as a demon, you're empty. Your ceiling is probably about here...." However, that lord didn't seem to like him much and had long ago passed judgment on him.

This tedious and monotonous existence continued for centuries.

Until one snowy night, over a decade ago, a young woman with her child stumbled into Doma's world.

The young woman's name was Hashibira Kotoha. Apparently, she was beaten daily by her husband and mother-in-law, her body covered in wounds, even blind in one eye.

Having no other option, she fled with her child and inadvertently stumbled into the shrine, seeking the protection of the gods.

Doma, as the cult leader, naturally protected the supplicant and killed all the family members who had abused her.

Later, Kotoha healed and remained in the shrine. Her beautiful face and singing voice made Doma feel a sense of ease.

'How strange. Why do I feel this lighthearted emotion? This child is truly special. I won't eat her, then.' Doma genuinely thought this, intending to keep Kotoha until she died of old age.

Unfortunately, Kotoha discovered Doma's cannibalism and couldn't accept it.

She fled with her child. To prevent him from being eaten, she even dropped him into a cliffside river. She herself died under Doma's fan.

This was over a decade ago, yet Doma still recalled that name upon seeing Inosuke's emerald eyes and beautiful face.

Perhaps it was one of the rare moments of warmth in his meaningless, long life.

"Oh my... what a wonderful memory..." He severed the demon hand embedded in his chest and chuckled softly.

Due to this momentary distraction, the flow of Doma's demonic aura severely declined. This gave Taka, with his keen perception, an opportunity!

"Hold him down!!"

Although he didn't know why Doma had suddenly spaced out, he knew this was an opportunity not to be missed!

It was the chain of cause and effect, finally snaring this monster's soul.

"Constant Flux!"

"Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow!"

Giyu and Hakuji attacked simultaneously. Blade wind and fist wind merged into one!

Whether it was the Water Lily Bodhisattva, the Crystallized Divine Children, or any other Blood Demon Art, all were completely shattered by the two!

Between Taka and Doma, there were no more obstacles!

A flash of black lightning streaked by.

At that moment, his Reiatsu broke through a certain limit. His originally scarred body, by means of Tonan's power, transformed into a massive black hole, madly absorbing everything around it.

Necrotic internal organs were rapidly repaired. Torn wounds healed at a visible rate.

If Hakuji hadn't known that the person before him was the human swordsman who had nearly killed him, he would have almost thought he was a Kizuki.

Shing—!!

A black line silently sliced through Doma's pale neck.

So fast that he didn't even feel the pain.

Doma's vision began to spin.

He saw his body, still in its dazed posture, standing atop the crumbling Water Lily Bodhisattva.

He saw Akaza in the boar mask and the human swordsman both watching him warily.

He saw the boy with Kotoha's features charging at him, swinging dual blades.

He saw a boundless darkness creeping up from the depths of his eyes.

"Ah.... So this feeling is called wavering."

Doma's filthy head tumbled through the air. The corners of his mouth even curled into a bitter smile from the bottom of his heart.

Thud!!

The head crashed heavily into the rubble.

"Did it work?" Giyu's expression was grave. He looked uncertainly at the head on the ground.

"Not that simple! Doma is an Upper Moon. He won't die so easily!"

Hakuji hadn't relaxed his vigilance at all. He still maintained an attacking stance, looking towards Doma's headless body.

Sure enough, even with his head severed, no blood spurted from the stump of Doma's neck.

Countless tiny granulations sprouted from the charred black wound, madly trying to pull the head back onto the body.

If not for Taka's Crimson Blade burning his wound, the head would probably have been reattached the moment it left the body.

But even so, they weren't sure this would completely kill Doma.

In such dire straits, Doma's body unconsciously began to run wild.

His fans danced. The surrounding ice and snow instantly spiraled out of control, unleashing a blizzard enough to engulf the entire mountain.

"Then how about this!"

Taka didn't give Doma a chance. He directly shoved the wisteria poison entrusted to him by Shinobu into the stump of Doma's neck!

CRACK!

He crushed the vial inside Doma's body. The wisteria poison instantly surged throughout Doma's entire being!

"Ugh—!!"

Doma's severed head seemed to react, letting out a pained groan.

The toxin took effect at lightning speed. Doma's headless body uncontrollably began to melt.

Thwump! Thwump!

His arms fell off. His knees dissolved into blood.

"How? This is that little girl's...."

"That's right. The weak female swordsman you looked down upon concocted a deadly poison capable of completely annihilating you!"

Taka stepped on Doma's head, looking at him with disgust: "Doma, the moment you killed Kanae, you should have known this day would come."

"Kocho Shinobu is a swordsman nurtured by hatred and anger. It's just a pity she couldn't witness this scene herself."

Shrrk—!!

To prevent Doma from reigniting, Taka specially picked up Shinobu's Nichirin Sword, lying on the ground, and viciously plunged it into Doma's brow.

Although the toxin within was still weak, for Doma, now only a head, it was enough to be fatal.

"....Am I going to die?"

Even with the blade stuck in his head, his eyes beginning to fall out, Doma still looked at them with a somewhat blank expression, his face full of emptiness.

"Oh my.... I guess it's no good...."

"I tried to regenerate, but I just can't muster the strength..."

"I can't feel anything...."

As Doma muttered to himself, his body grew weaker and weaker. Flesh and blood continuously peeled away.

"Devour him...."

Taka didn't dare give him any chance to turn the tables. He plunged his Zanpakuto into Doma's decayed body.

Amidst the group's incredulous reaction, the flesh writhed and surged into Tonan's blade, actually devouring Doma alive before their very eyes!

"Taka.... you...." Giyu was momentarily unable to accept this. Hakuji's gaze under the boar mask was already frozen.

'What kind of blade was this? If he had possessed such power back then, wouldn't I have directly...'

"Never mind. Dying like this is fine. Actually, death isn't so scary, is it...."

"After all, hasn't it always been like this...."

Doma's voice grew softer and softer. His head finally dissolved into a pool of pus, merging into the ground.

The ice Bodhisattva collapsed with a roar, crushing this decayed shrine, and announcing the death of Upper Rank Two.

In the boundless darkness, Doma's head fell continuously.

Thud!

It finally landed in the hands of a woman with a gentle smile on her face.

"Seeing you end up like this, I can rest easy."

"This way, Shinobu can also let go of the burden in her heart, right?"

Doma's head was tossed around by her, so much so that he couldn't see her clearly. He could only speak helplessly: "Oh dear, can you stop playing with me? Who are you? Are you going to hell with me?"

Hearing this, the woman straightened Doma's head and looked directly into his rainbow-colored pupils with ethereal eyes: "Don't be ridiculous. I'm going to attain Buddhahood."

"Go to hell yourself, you beast."
