Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: What Kind of Book Is This?!

"Hey, Fia! It's really impolite to casually comment on other people's goods right in front of them!" Roxy solemnly told Fia.

After hearing Roxy's words, Fia quickly swallowed the snack in her mouth.

"But this food really is like that. I was just telling the truth." Fia said nonchalantly, feeling that there was nothing wrong with her evaluation.

Roxy also knew that Fia was a princess and that she probably couldn't understand these kinds of things, so she didn't argue anymore.

"Okay, okay. What do you want to do at the next shop?" Roxy asked Fia.

"Um, what would Roxy recommend the most?" Fia couldn't think of anything herself, so she tossed the question back to Roxy.

"Me?"

Dan Feng, who was walking behind them, heard this and already guessed what Roxy was going to recommend.

"Mm-hmm! This is it! They take oranges, grapes, and stuff like that and make them into jam, then put it inside a cake!" Roxy bought three cakes of this style and then handed them out to Dan Feng and Fia.

Dan Feng took the cake Roxy passed to him and took a bite. The jam wrapped inside burst freely in his mouth.

This thing was actually pretty similar to the jam bread he used to buy in his previous life, except since it was freshly made, the taste was relatively a bit better than what he remembered from back then.

"Jam, huh? This stuff appears on the dining table every day." Fia held the cake and looked at it, then also took a bite.

"Jam might be very common, but only this shop makes it taste good~" After getting to eat what she wanted, Roxy showed a happy smile, and the little ahoge on top of her head swayed along with the rhythm of her chewing.

Dan Feng devoured his cake like a whirlwind, then lifted his head. His gaze fell on a bookstore not far away.

He hesitated slightly, then turned to look at Roxy and Fia, who were still slowly savoring their cakes.

"Better wait until they're done eating." Dan Feng thought to himself. After all, interrupting someone while they were enjoying food didn't seem very polite.

At that moment, he heard Roxy say to Fia, "Fia, you only need to eat half of your cake. Let's swap and eat each other's—so we can taste two different flavors!"

Fia was clearly a bit surprised. She widened her eyes at Roxy and hurriedly said, "Eh? Isn't the part I've already eaten dirty?"

Roxy just smiled nonchalantly and replied, "Oh come on, adventurers don't fuss over that kind of thing. Women sharing a bowl of rice with other women is totally fine~"

Hearing this, Fia still hesitated a little but ultimately nodded and agreed to Roxy's suggestion.

So the two exchanged their cakes and continued enjoying the delicious dessert.

Watching the two girls eat so slowly, Dan Feng finally couldn't hold back anymore.

He pointed at the bookstore not far away and said to them, "Hey, how about we head to the bookstore next?"

Fia's eyes lit up instantly. She said excitedly, "Bookstore! Sure, one of my old friends recommended a book to me a while back. Let's go check it out!"

That book had been recommended by a friend of Fia's from a long time ago. Since she couldn't freely go out to buy books in the palace, she had never gotten the chance to read it.

Now that she had the opportunity to visit a bookstore, she was naturally very happy.

"Dan Feng, are you going to buy books again?" Roxy looked at Dan Feng in confusion. In her memory, Dan Feng really liked buying books, though she didn't know why—especially since some of the books were clearly inaccurate.

Dan Feng's obsession with reading was entirely because of the progress bar. As long as it could increase the progress bar, he was willing to do anything—even take on the Seven Great Powers!

"Knowledge is very important." Dan Feng nodded and said.

"Dan Feng likes studying, huh? Then why don't you go to Ranoa Magic University?" Fia recalled the information in her mind about Ranoa Magic University and then told Dan Feng about it.

Dan Feng naturally knew about Ranoa Magic University. He actually did plan to go there; it was just that their travels hadn't reached that point yet.

He and Roxy had already discussed it—the final stop of their journey would be the Ranoa Kingdom, followed by heading to the magic city of Sharia.

Then they would try to enroll and see. From what he had read in books, Ranoa Magic University had no age restriction for enrollment. As long as you paid the expensive tuition, you could enter and study.

"I will go." Dan Feng said this, but he suddenly looked toward the window of a certain house.

"What's wrong, Dan Feng?" Roxy saw Dan Feng suddenly looking in one direction and asked in confusion.

Dan Feng shook his head and said it was nothing.

He had just felt a gaze carrying killing intent directed toward them. The sensation was extremely uncomfortable.

This also put Dan Feng on high alert.

Afterward, the three of them headed to that bookstore together.

As soon as they entered the shop, Fia began searching according to the memory in her mind.

"Hmm... which one was it?" Fia came to a bookshelf and started looking through the books one by one.

Meanwhile, Dan Feng and Roxy were at a bookshelf not far from Fia.

"Roxy, from now on we need to keep an eye on Fia. I just sensed killing intent earlier." Dan Feng recounted what he had just experienced. Killing intent was something very subtle, but once you've been chased by monsters a few times, you come to recognize the feeling of being targeted by it.

"Really? That doesn't sound good." Little Roxy pondered, but then thought that with her and Dan Feng's strength, there was no need to panic at all.

"Just protect Fia well. I'll handle the rest." Dan Feng said to Roxy. Anything that could be solved with Cloud-Piercer wasn't really a problem. If that wasn't enough, he could just use magic with amplified mana output.

When Dan Feng and Roxy walked over to Fia's side, Fia suddenly shouted, "Wow, I found it!"

Dan Feng had just glanced around earlier—this bookstore had very few academic or theoretical books. Instead, it had a ton of novel-like stuff, so he couldn't see any books he wanted to buy for the time being.

"Roxy, come take a look too." Fia called Roxy over. Roxy was also curious about the contents of the book in Fia's hand, so she stood on her tiptoes to peek at the pages.

"Her appearance had become completely different from during the day, unabashedly exposing the hidden heat she had kept concealed... Ah?!" After reading just a passage, Roxy felt her cheeks heat up. She immediately realized this was the kind of book children shouldn't read.

She quickly ran off to the side.

Fia watched Roxy's embarrassed expression, then covered her mouth and chuckled. "Looks like it's still too early for little kids, huh?"

"You jerk! How dare you read something like this! And I'm not a kid! I'm almost 25 years old!" Roxy showed a fierce expression, but on that cute little face, it just looked like she was pouting.

"Oh my, Roxy is already 24? I totally couldn't tell."
