Petrick stared at him cautiously, sensing the mana flowing around the young man's body.
With a cold smile, Petrick said, "...So you actually came... Damien."
The young man didn't reply immediately. He simply adjusted his grip on the sword and took a step forward.
With a cold expression, Damien asked, "It seems you know me. Let me ask you... who are you? And why did you do all this?"
His hazel eyes pierced into Petrick's now black eyes.
Petrick didn't back down; instead, he giggled. With a mocking expression, he said, "Why do you need to know? When you are going to die?" He held the daggers firmly.
Damien didn't feel intimidated by him. With the same confident voice, he continued, "Was there really any reason for you to kill so many students? What have they done to you? What animosity did you have towards them... towards us?"
Behind him, Noah struggled to stay conscious, his vision fading, but he could still see the back of the man who had just saved his life.
