Enzo couldn't breathe, his bedchambers felt stuff. For some reason, his Lycan had been restless all evening, pacing endlessly beneath his skin. The agitation had started shortly after nightfall and only worsened with every passing minute.
Unable to bear the suffocating feeling any longer, he left his chambers in search of fresh air.
He hadn't gotten far when a searing pain exploded across his chest.
"Argh!" He shouted
The pain was so intense that it stole the breath from his lungs.
Enzo staggered.His vision blurred.
It felt as though someone had plunged a burning blade directly into his heart and twisted it mercilessly.
His Lycan howled in agony inside him.
The sound echoed through his mind, raw and tortured making him almost mad.
Enzo clutched his chest, struggling to remain standing.
The pain only intensified. His knees buckled beneath him.
Before he realized what was happening, he had collapsed onto the ground.
