[DAY 7 – LAST DAY – EARLY MORNING]
Alex woke up with the sun just peeking over the horizon.
Last day in Coral Port.
Tomorrow—departure.
He got up quietly, trying not to wake Raven (they were still sharing a room; hers still lacked full furniture).
He failed.
"Already awake?" Raven murmured from the bed, her voice drowsy.
"I didn't mean to wake you."
"Too late." She stretched—a movement that made the sheets slip, revealing a bare shoulder and part of her nightgown.
Alex quickly looked away.
"I'm going to… shower. We have a long day."
"Mmm. Good idea. I should also—"
She sat up in bed, but the sheet tangled around her legs.
She lost her balance.
Fell forward—
Alex, by instinct, caught her.
And suddenly they were very close.
Raven in his arms. Nightgown askew. Disheveled hair falling over Alex's face. Green eyes looking directly into his.
"I… sorry," Raven murmured. But she didn't move.
"It's… okay," Alex managed. He didn't move either.
The moment stretched.
