The Council's inquiry arrived three days after the barrier reached full integrity.

Not the direct, authoritative summons of the High Chamber — something more careful. A formal request for information, submitted through official channels, framed as a routine follow-up to the anomalous barrier recovery data their monitoring arrays had recorded.

Seraphine read it once and set it down with the precision of someone who had recognized the framing as a choice.

"They're not certain," she said.

"No," Elara confirmed. "The monitoring arrays recorded the stabilization pattern but couldn't identify the source. The passive field doesn't register as any known mana output category."

"So they know something resolved it," Lyra said. "They don't know what."

"Or who," Kaelith added.
