Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: The Abyssal trap

The storm grew violent as the ship pushed forward.

Waves rose like walls.

Lightning tore across the sky.

At the center of the chaos—

A massive structure stood in the ocean.

Energy pillars surrounded a single point, glowing with dark resonance.

"This is it…" said Elior.

Beside him, Nerion stared silently.

"…They've already begun the extraction."

As they got closer—

The sea changed.

Water twisted unnaturally.

Currents clashed against each other.

Even the air felt heavy.

Below them—

A deep glow pulsed.

Aqualith was struggling.

Chains of energy bound it.

Each pulse weakened it.

Elior clenched his fists.

"They're hurting it…"

"Hold steady!" the sailors shouted.

But it was too late.

A massive wave crashed into the ship.

The impact threw Elior off balance.

"Careful!" Nerion said.

Without hesitation—

He raised his PokeBall.

"Go… Abyssarion."

The ocean shifted instantly.

Abyssarion emerged, cutting through the waves like a blade.

The storm itself seemed to obey it.

Breaking the Frontline

Team Umber forces surrounded the structure.

Dozens of grunts.

Machines active.

"No holding back," Elior said.

"Right," Nerion replied.

"Thundrion, strike from above!"

Thundrion leaped into the storm, lightning crashing down on enemy units.

"Infernyx, push forward!"

Infernyx charged through the water, steam exploding around it.

"Riolu, support!"

Riolu moved quickly across the unstable deck.

Meanwhile—

Nerion moved like the ocean itself.

"Abyssarion… clear the path."

Water spiraled violently.

One precise strike—

Multiple enemies were swept away instantly.

Elior glanced at him.

"…That control…"

They reached the edge of the structure.

A glowing barrier blocked the center.

Energy surged violently from it.

"That's the capture field," Elior said.

Nerion nodded.

"If we break it… we can free Aqualith."

But suddenly—

The energy spiked.

The ocean froze.

A slow clap echoed.

From the center platform—

A figure stepped forward.

Calm.

Cold.

Dangerous.

Varkis.

Behind him—

A shadow rose.

Eyes glowing red.

Noctyrex.

Elior's expression hardened.

"…You."

Varkis smiled faintly.

"So you've arrived… just in time to witness history."

Dark Resonance Revealed

Varkis raised his hand.

Dark energy pulsed through the machines.

The ocean twisted violently.

"This is more than a capture," he said.

"This is evolution."

The energy connected to Aqualith.

Black currents spread through the water.

Even the waves turned darker.

Nerion's eyes narrowed.

"…Dark Resonance…"

Elior stepped forward.

"Let it go!"

Varkis looked at him calmly.

"You still don't understand, do you?"

He gestured toward the ocean.

"Power like this… shouldn't remain free."

Elior clenched his fists.

"It's not something you control!"

"Then stop me."

Varkis raised his hand.

"Noctyrex… begin."

Dark energy erupted.

The sea itself reacted violently.

Elior shouted—

"Thundrion, attack!"

Lightning struck—

But Noctyrex moved through shadows, avoiding it effortlessly.

Nerion stepped forward.

"Abyssarion… intercept."

Water and darkness collided.

The ocean split around them.

The Pressure Builds

The battlefield grew unstable.

The storm intensified.

Aqualith struggled harder.

The barrier pulsed faster.

Elior realized—

"…We're running out of time."

Suddenly—

A massive shockwave erupted from below.

The entire structure shook violently.

A deep roar echoed through the ocean.

Aqualith was waking.

Fully.

Varkis smiled.

"Perfect."

Elior's eyes widened.

"…This is bad."

Nerion spoke quietly:

"This… is just the beginning."

And the journey continues.....
