Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: True Hope Has Arrived

Space Base, the Bunker.

In the communications hall, the Commander stood atop the highest podium delivering her speech, while all the YoRHa Unit Androids stood below.

"Everyone, the Human Lord has personally arrived on Earth to inspire us. This is the prelude to our general offensive against the Machine Lifeforms."

"The Human Lord will join forces with the Resistance Army on the surface to launch the final offensive. Naturally, we of the YoRHa Unit are no exception!"

"Remember the pain of our homeland being stolen! We cannot give up. We must reclaim the seas, the skies, the land... reclaim the Earth that was stolen by those loathsome Machine Lifeforms!"

"This general offensive must succeed. Here and now, I declare that this war shall end!"

"Glory to Mankind!"

"Glory to Mankind!!!"

The slogans echoed throughout the Bunker, the stirring speech igniting the conviction within every Android. At this moment, every Android was prepared for the general offensive, waiting only for the final order to be issued.

After the speech, the Commander ordered all Androids to stand by. She would make further preparations after communicating with the Human Army!

A moment later, the Commander returned to her room. Before she could even relax, she immediately contacted the Lunar Human Council.

She had once been a member of the Resistance Army, but later joined the Human Army and eventually rose to become the YoRHa Commander-in-Chief.

Because of the YoRHa Project, she knew the whole truth and possessed a means of contacting the Human Army Headquarters.

Of course, the Human Army Headquarters was now called the Lunar Human Council; this was a choice necessitated by various circumstances.

After a brief wait, a light screen expanded, and the Lunar Human Council, composed of different colors, appeared before the Commander.

These "different colors" referred to the color of each Android's clothing. The Commander's attire was pure white with gold trim.

There were four Androids in the Lunar Human Council, colored cyan, Yellow, red, and Black respectively. They were the sole members of the Human Army Headquarters.

"White?"

A middle-aged male Android dressed in Black with silver-white hair spoke in confusion. He couldn't understand why White would suddenly contact them at this time.

"Black."

Commander White nodded in acknowledgement and then addressed each Android on the screen by name.

"Cyan, Yellow, Red."

"What is it, White? Contacting us at a time like this," asked a female Android named Cyan, whose clothing was primarily cyan-colored.

White should have been executing the YoRHa Project right now. Had something unexpected happened? She thought this and asked accordingly.

"Has there been an accident with the YoRHa Project?"

To everyone's surprise, White actually nodded, confirming the suspicion.

Then, before the stunned expressions of all the Androids, White delivered the shocking news: humanity, their creator and the hope of all Androids, had returned!

No one doubted her, for no Android would dare lie about such a thing—not even the Lunar Human Council themselves.

Their pretense that humans were still alive was already a form of internal torture. At this moment, they believed White's words immediately.

"You should have brought the Human Lord to the Lunar Human Council immediately! Only this place is truly safe!" Yellow slammed the table, his expression solemn.

"But low Earth orbit is not safe," White calmly explained. "The Machine Lifeforms can launch missiles to intercept aircraft at any time. Even if there's a ninety-nine percent chance nothing goes wrong, no one can guarantee that one percent won't happen!"

"Any risky action could cause our final hope to vanish!"

"And..." White raised her head, her deep blue eyes scanning her colleagues on the screen. Staring into their eyes, she sighed with empathy.

"You've also had it hard, haven't you? The agony of constantly pretending to be the Human Lords, the remorse of watching compatriots die because of your decisions."

Hearing this, the four on the screen fell silent. Indeed, they suffered internal torment at every moment, never knowing if their systems might crash one day from the unbearable weight.

All the Androids present were the original models loyal to humanity. Those who weren't had already perished in the war against the aliens.

As early as the year 4514, Androids known as "Independents" appeared. These Independents declared they would no longer be loyal to humanity and gradually gathered into a massive force.

In 4519, a conflict broke out between the Androids still loyal to humanity and the Independents. Later generations called this the "Independent Conflict."

The conflict lasted about two weeks before ending. Afterward, the Independents migrated to Australia, which was deserted at the time, and declared the establishment of an independent nation.

But before these Independents could establish themselves, the aliens arrived. These Independents did not die at the hands of their Android compatriots, but rather at the hands of the aliens.

Ironically, those who chose independence failed to protect the Earth. Instead, it was this group of Androids loyal to humanity who defended it, because they possessed a conviction that they must never lose.

It was this conviction that supported them through the long war—the belief that humanity's Earth must never fall into the hands of aliens.

Of course, the ones who truly defeated the aliens were the magical weapons left behind by humans, the "Emils," though no one knew that.

Once the loyal Androids successfully defended the Earth, there was no need to recount the subsequent events. Upon learning of humanity's extinction, Android morale plummeted, and the YoRHa Project was born.

And then, after they had maintained a facade of hope for so long, true hope arrived... Under Commander White's righteous explanation, the four at headquarters all accepted this reasoning: the Human Lord must not be put in any danger.

Whether for the sake of the Human Lord himself or for all their Android compatriots.

Seeing that the four on the screen agreed with her reasoning, the Commander moved on to her next idea—the Android General Offensive Plan!

Humans were still on Earth. Because they didn't dare risk going into space, they could only stay on Earth for the time being, but this was also an opportunity.

As long as the Human Army explained to all the Resistance Army that the Human Lord had personally come to Earth for an inspection to boost Android morale.

Then, for the sake of the Earth, the Androids would need to launch a final general offensive to crush the Machine Lifeforms in one fell swoop.

Even if it ultimately failed, they could take advantage of the battle with the Machine Lifeforms to have the YoRHa Unit paralyze the enemy's anti-aircraft systems and send the Human Lord to the Moon.

This was the most logical course of action and the Androids' final desperate counterattack.

Upon hearing this plan, the members of headquarters fell silent for a moment before beginning a rigorous discussion.

Of course, everything ultimately depended on the Human Lord's own thoughts. Androids could give orders to their compatriots, but they could not give orders to their creator.

Therefore, after rigorous discussion, Commander White decided to personally descend to Earth to have an audience with the human. Even if there was a risk of being shot down, she had to take that chance.

The Commander is indeed named White, and there is indeed a middle-aged male Android named Black; these two appeared in the official novel "YoRHa Boys." However, Cyan, Yellow, and Red are my own inventions, based on the five colors: cyan, Yellow, red, white, and Black.
