Class-B reached gymnasium-1 and the scene in front them was nothing sort of a bizarre market place where senpais were swarming kouhais like hungry corporate drones. Handing over their flyers and urging them to join their clubs.
The ground was filled with flyers and students... doing something?
Kiruyin, who was looking at this situation while blending in with his classmates, couldn't understand heads or tails of what the fuck everyone was doing.
It was total chaos.
Students murmuring mixed in with the shouting seniors created a lively atmosphere. Coupled with the light of the setting sun, the atmosphere in front of gymnasium-1 was very energetic.
Kiruyin looked around and everyone was just as baffled as him. Never had they expected that the dignified senpais could look so... undignified.
But Kiruyin recovered quick. Remembered the dudes old enough to be his father practically grovelling on his feet to buy their products. This scene was no different.
But it seemed like his classmates beg differ, they couldn't connect the dots and were unsettled. Not that he cared. They can be as unsettled as they want.
But what he did care about at the moment was the swarm of seniors coming their way.
'Damn dude... they look like a pack of dull... damn. Though I would certainly prefer if some "cow" ran towards me with their mil- cough! Kiru-Kiru! No horny! Let's go to horny jail!'
"KOUHAI!! THIS IS FLYER FOR OUR TEA PARTY CLUB!! JOIN-"
"NO!! JOIN OUR-"
"NO JOIN OUR-"
The Senpais 'collided' with the front members of Class-B like angry protesters while the guys at the front tried their best not to fall- no. They were bravely keeping the protesters at bay!!
'Woohoo!!! Go go!! Brave soldiers!! Sacrifice yourselves for the betterment of the citizens!!!!!'
Kiruyin cheered silently while slowly slipping away. He noticed Ichinose from the corner of his eyes. She had a troubled expression and seemed like she was about to intervene.
He frowned. Feeling it was unnecessary for her to intervene. Others of Class-B needs to shine as well. Just to put on an extra layer of defence for himself from other classes.
Although he had exposed himself to the class and decided to trust them with his true self, he will not do that with everyone else. He could trust Class-B because of Ichinose. As long as she was the leader, no one will betray the class. That much he was sure.
But she was too dazzling which can make others over dependent on her presence. Other pillars are needed just in case to support the class better.
With his decision made, he 'snaked' his way towards Ichinose while dogging his classmates.
'Ning! Ning! Ning! Ninja Kiru-Kiru just passed by! You never saw anything! Never felt anything fools!! It must've the wind~~.'
Kiruyin used one of his skills from the "Great Kiru-Kiru Library of Forbidden Spells".
'Hypothesis- I mean hypocrisy- NO! Aaa.. hypnosis!!'
Kiruyin succeeded after to failed attempts(got seen), and the people only saw wind pass by(imaginary).
He arrived near Ichinose an without stopping, grabbed her wrist and pulled her out with him.
"Eh?"
Ichinose, who was about to say something felt her wrist being grabbed and pulled towards somewhere. Her heart skipped several beats and many bad scenarios passed through her mind in that moment but when she noticed who it was, she calmed down a bit. She didn't resist his pull and followed his lead.
Ichinose felt her face getting warmer involuntarily. Although she wasn't looking to date at the moment, but it still felt embarrassing when being dragged around by a good looking person like Sakiho.
'Sakiho-kun you baka!'
She berated Sakiho inside her mind for making her embarrassed. But she felt him letting her wrist go. A sense of lose washed over her. His big hand, grabbing her wrist... weirdly enough, made her feel very secured. Like she could trust person with all her weakness and he will protect her through everything.
But she quickly shook off the distracting thoughts and was about to put on feigned offended expression before his voice rang.
"Sorry 'bout that Ichinose-san. I had my reasons. Let's talk while we walk inside the building."
Kiruyin suggested to Ichinose who was frozen mid... something. Her expression peculiar. He was about to pull out his phone and take a picture but she recovered quickly.
"Tsk."
Irritation leached onto his heart. That would have been a great roasting material. Too bad he was slower than a slow poke. He will be vigilant from now on. Taking out his phone for any kind of anomaly.
"What was that Sakiho-kun?"
Ichinose asked while she started to follow him. He was honestly surprised that she hadn't actually gone back rushing to help her classmates.
Kiruyin looked over his shoulders, as he wanted, the two that had potential to shine and attract trouble are actually attracting trouble! Kanzaki and susybaka were on it!!
'Goood~~ goooooood~~. Grow~ grrrooooww~~ strong and healthy my boys~. Because you have to be excellent meat shield and protect me-! KHUASHASHASHA-!!'
Kiruyin laughed with his mouth wide open. His tounge dangling out like a snake. His eyes narrowed to a dangerous degree(imaginary).
"Why are you smiling like that Sakiho-kun? Is there anything I said came out as funny?"
Ichinose frowned, confused at his small smile. Kiruyin snapped out of his daze and stopped at the gate to look back for a moment. Students of different class and grades going in and out of the gymnasium-1. Ichinose stopped to look as well.
Although their interaction were very few, but Ichinose had a clear understanding of his character after today's incident. He will not do anything that he doesn't like. No matter how unreasonable that maybe.
And the opposite is also true for what he likes. Making it hard to perceive his motives. Ichinose can never be sure on what he wants to achieve.
That understanding lead her to follow him here even though she wanted to go and help her classmates who were struggling to get out of the Senpais grasps. Honestly, she found it kind of funny as she was gazing at the situation from the distance. But still, the urge to help didn't go down.
"You want to help them don't you?"
Kiruyin asked as he tore his gaze away from the intense protest against freedom of choice. He gestured Ichinose to follow him inside. She looked back and forth between Kiruyin and her classmates before ultimately following Kiruyin.
Classmates weren't in danger anyways.
Inside the gymnasium was filled with murmurs of the students. The air was cool. Air conditioner doing their job. The inside was still noisy but less chaotic than outside. The senpais of different clubs demonstrated their clubs speciality to the kouhais.
Kiruyin lead Ichinose into a crowd less corner where one can see the whole gymnasium-1 and all the activities gong on. He leaned against the wall with his arms folded, shoulder bag is where it should be.
Ichinose stood beside him and also tied to look at the whole gymnasium. She stood like an elegant lady. Holding her bag infront of her and standing up right.
There was a comfortable silence between them. Both getting swiped away by the atmosphere of the gymnasium. Neither talking until he remembered that he need to explain his reasoning to Ichinose so she can help as well.
"Ahem! So. Ichinose-san. The reason why I kidnapped- I mean- yes. Kidnapped you because of few reasons."
Kiruyin tried to put on his good boy act out of habit but realised it was meaningless. Ichinose turned her head to look at Kiruyin with a strange gaze.
"Hey don't look at me like that. Your the one who made me put out the act and now you act like that? Shame~ shame~."
Kiruyin gently called out Ichinose's hypocrisy(imaginary) with righteous indignation! Ichinose on the other hand had "when did I say that?" Expression.
"This is the real me Ichinose-san. Butt, anyway back to the reason. Even though this is the third day, you've become an indispensable person for our class. Let me say this clearly so you understand. Without you, uniting the class would have been impossible. Your the sole axis everyone revolves around. So, if you break, the whole class will collapse. Though this is just my personal opinion, you can certainly think differently. But that's what I've observed until now."
Kiruyin said while playing with his hair while looking forward. His expression unreadable while he said everything. He didn't give Ichinose any time to react, just enough time to let his words sink in.
"Regardless, since you're the only factor of unity, people- err you know what I mean. "
Kiruyin almost slipped and talked about clas competition. Ichinose nodded in understanding. Her brows were frowned in a cute manner. She looked locked in, as well as appearing extremely cute.
But he didn't let the distractions get to him.
"In other words, we need more people that the students of our class are willing to follow when your not around. And I'm not cursing you to die... just letting you know incase you die tomorrow and leave my name as the perpetrator. I haven't learned those kind of Spells yet. But anyway, I belive even in your absence, the Class-B will be united to support you. But they need competent people to follow with. Like Kanzaki guy... aaammm. You get what I'm saying right?"
Kiruyin asked uncertain. Ichinose was contemplating deeply before she nodded and looked Kiruyin in the eye and said,
"Yes Sakiho-kun. What your basically saying is, I shouldn't alway intervene and let others have the growth they deserve?"
"Yes! Yes. Exactly. That's why I pulled you over. "
Hearing his answer, Ichinose couldn't help but feel helpless. What kind of explanation was that? But his points were very valid though. So Ichinose just nodded in agreement. She panned her gaze through the gymnasium before inviting Kiruyin with her to explore the clubs and stuff.
