Name: Leonar
True Name: -
Rank: Dreamer
Resonance Core: Dormant
Resonance Fragments: [?/1000]
Aspect : Gaze of Unmaking
Aspect Rank: Sacred
Aspect Description: [You possess the ability to peer beyond surface manifestations and into the structural truth of Aspects, Abilities, Attributes, Memories and Echoes.
By observing an awakened power, you may perceive its principles, conditions, costs, and causal bindings.]
Innate Ability: Echo of Spell
Ability Description: [Once understanding reaches a critical threshold, you may mimic the observed ability for a short time. Each act of mimicry places immense strain on your mind, soul, and body.
Abilities of higher Rank, complexity, or divinity require longer observation and exact a far greater toll.]
Aspect Ability: [Formless Scripture]
Ability Description:
[You can perceive and comprehend the structure of Attributes possessed by others—how they function, what fuels them, and the price they demand.
By force of will and understanding, you may add or remove any foreign Attribute to your own existence.]
***
Attributes : [Fated], [Oathbound], [Veil of Forgotten Truths], [Omen of Insight], [???]
[Omen of Insight]
Description : [Your mind is innately drawn toward truth, patterns, and forgotten knowledge.
The more you explore, uncover secrets, or gain genuine understanding, the clearer and sharper your mind becomes, and the more difficult it is for mind attacks to work on you.]
[Oathbound]
Description: [Your power is bound to the vows you swear — and the vows sworn in your presence.
While an oath remains unbroken, your physical abilities, essence control, and Aspect potency are enhanced.
The magnitude of this enhancement scales with the difficulty, danger, and personal cost of the oath — regardless of who swears it. Breaking them will also lead to similar consequences.]
[Veil of Forgotten Truths]
Attribute Description: [Your memories of future events, hidden truths, and destined outcomes are constantly being sealed by Fate. Knowledge that would distort the natural flow of causality is gradually erased from your conscious mind.
However, nothing is truly lost.]
[Fated]
Attribute Description: [The strings of fate wrap tightly around you. Unlikely events, both good and bad, are drawn by your presence. There are those who are blessed, and there are those who are cursed… but rarely both.]
[???]
Attribute Description: [???]
Aspect Ghost: Noah
Aspect Ghost Description:
[A remnant of will born from unrealized futures. It remembers what you cannot, sees what you are not meant to know, and waits.
Though bound to your soul, it is not loyal to it.]
***
Memories: [Crown of Ember], [Azure Scythe], [Verdant Mnemosyne], [Endless Spring], [Stillmind Shroud], [Codex of the Insatiable], [Ordinary Glass Bottle], [Halo of Cinders], [Reaver's Descent], [Blood Arrow], [Starlight Shard]
[Crown of Ember]
Memory Rank: Ascended (Dormant)
Memory Type: Relic
Memory Description: [A faint fragment of divine flame once burned in the heart of a young maiden who longed for a family. She was raised an outsider, yet she continued to protect her people. She never kneeled, not even to the will of gods. She was fated to become a beacon of humanity. Yet her flame was extinguished by a cunning will unworthy of it.
Yet the ember of her will refused to yield. Even now, it continues to burn.]
Enemies Slain: [?/1000]
Enchantments:
[Pyric Ledger]:
Each death witnessed within a limited radius feeds the ember bound to this relic. The greater the loss of life, the greater its connection with fate, the stronger the flame it can unleash.
Ember Charge: [?/1000]
[Warmth of the Dead]:
The flame can mend flesh and mind, but only by burning the souls it has accumulated.
[Cinder Cataclysm]:
All stored souls are compressed into a single, irreversible release.
~~~
Memory: [Azure Scythe]
Memory Rank: Awakened
Memory Type: Weapon
Memory Description: [On this forgotten shore, only steel remembers.]
Enchantments:
[Predator's Continuity]:
The blade carries the memory of its wielder's last kill. Strikes against the same species makes the blade grow sharper and more durable.
~~~
[Endless Spring]
Memory Rank: Dormant.
Memory Tier: IV.
Memory Type: Tool.
Memory Description: [A lovesick devil had once imprisoned a mighty river in this fragile glass bottle. It was his gift to a beautiful desert spirit.]
Enchantments:
Gift of Water:
Enchantment Description: [This bottle contains enough water to make flowers bloom in the desolate heart of the most lifeless of deserts].
~~~
[Verdant Mnemosyne]
Memory Rank: Awakened
Memory Type: Armor
Memory Description:
[Grown from roots that drank thought, memory, and identity, this armor was never forged — it was remembered into existence. The Soul Devouring Tree did not seek flesh alone. It sought continuity. Those who accepted its gifts were never meant to leave.]
Enchantments:
Ambient Soul Drain:
[Continuously draws soul essence from nearby enemies.]
Will Pressure:
[Those the wearer regards as enemies are subjected to constant mental pressure. If their will proves weaker than the wearer's, their sense of self gradually erodes.]
Rooted Resolve:
[The wearer's mind is hardened against intrusion, granting resistance to mental attacks and faint protection against assaults on the soul.]
~~~
[Stillmind Shroud]
Memory Rank: Awakened
Memory Type: Garment
Memory Description:
[Woven from the pelt of a wolf that hunted without sound, without scent, without intent.
It did not stalk its prey with hunger — it erased itself from the world and let existence forget it was there.
The beast was not the strongest.
It was the one that survived.]
Enchantments:
Predator's Patience:
[The calmer the wearer's mind, the less the world acknowledges them.
Rapid thoughts, strong emotions, or killing intent weaken the effect.
Absolute stillness approaches near-total obscurity.]
Feral Intuition:
[Brief flashes of instinct warn the wearer when they are being watched.
The warning is subtle, like the prickle before prey notices a predator.]
~~~
[Codex of the Insatiable]
Memory Rank: Awakened
Type: Tool
Memory Description: [He was once called the greatest scholar. He outlived his contemporaries, his students, his students' students — not through wisdom, but through appetite. He consumed every text, every rune, every fragment of knowledge the world had to offer, and found it was never enough.
When the darkness came for him, it found something it had not expected. A mind too ordered to surrender entirely. He did not become a mindless beast, but something worse — a corrupted thing that remembered everything it had ever learned, and could do nothing with it.
A young woman found him at the end. She recognized what he had been, even through what he had become.
He smiled as she raised her blade.
It was the first time in years he had felt something other than hunger.
Hope. The nastiest of poisons.]
Enchantments:
Living Record: [When essence is poured into the book, it records whatever the holder is actively thinking — text, images, runes, spatial layouts, anything the mind can hold clearly. The record is permanent unless deliberately removed. The clarity of the record depends on the clarity of the thought.]
Perfect Retrieval: [Any information stored within the book can be accessed instantly by the holder. It does not fade, degrade, or distort over time.]
Thirst of the Immortal: [The book has near infinite pages, and will not end anytime soon.]
Revision: [By pouring essence into a stored entry, the holder may alter or remove it entirely. The process is deliberate — accidental erasure is impossible.]
~~~
[Halo of Cinders]
Memory Rank: Ascended
Memory Type: Weapon
Memory Description:
[They had run out of options.
The darkness was everywhere and they were just frightened, brilliant, desperate people who had spent years watching everything they built get consumed one piece at a time.
So they tried to build something that could wound darkness itself.
They did not know if it was possible. They argued constantly — about the mechanism, about the cost, about whether a weapon that attacked the soul rather than the flesh could even be wielded by something that still possessed one.
In the end, they built it anyway.
It was not finished when the facility fell.
The weapon was left in its case, bound already to its purpose if not yet to a hand. The researchers did not survive to see whether it worked.
The halo did not forget why it was made.]
Enchantments:
Formless: [The weapon has no fixed shape. When summoned, it takes whatever form the wielder envisions.]
Soul Shear: [When the weapon makes direct contact with flesh, it bypasses physical resistance entirely and strikes the soul beneath. The effect requires essence flowing through the weapon at the moment of contact.]
Amplification: [The weapon amplifies the wielder's fear threefold when active.]
Waning Edge: [The weapon grows weaker against an enemy the longer the fight continues. Against new enemies, the effect resets completely.]
Repelling Light: [The weapon can release a continuous light. True darkness cannot pass through or occupy the same space as this light. The effect is not large.]
~~~
[Ordinary Glass Bottle]
Memory Rank: Awakened
Memory Type: Tool
Memory Description: [A perfectly ordinary glass bottle]
Current Contents: [Corrupted Nightmare Creature Blood]
Enchantments:
Preserved State: [Anything stored within the bottle remains in the exact condition it was placed. Time does not affect the contents. Decay does not occur. Whatever goes in comes out unchanged, regardless of how long it waits.]
~~~
[Reaver's Descent]
Memory Rank: Awakened
Memory Type: Weapon
Memory Description:
[Carved from the chitin of a Fresh Reaver — a black locust that devoured harvests and left fields silent — this arrow remembers the ecstasy of the dive.]
Enchantments:
Ravenous Momentum:
[The farther the arrow travels through open air, the faster it becomes. Velocity compounds over distance.]
~~~
[Blood Arrow]
Memory Rank: Ascended.Memory Rank: Ascended.
Memory Type: Weapon.
Memory Description: [A debt of blood must be paid in blood.]Memory Description: [A debt of blood must be paid in blood.]
Enchantments:
[Rain of Blood]
Enchantment Description: [The arrows are created from the wielder's blood, and as such, can rain on the enemies for as long as the archer has any left in their veins.]
[Restitution]
Enchantment Description: [If the arrow finds its mark, it will drink the bloodrrow finds its mark, it will drink the blood of the prey and restore that which had been taken from the archer. If it misses, the archer's blood will be lost forever.]
~~~
[Starlight Shard]

Traces: [Lykareth], [Vile Thieving Bird Spawn]
[Lykareth]
Trace Type: Devil
Trace Class: Awakened
Trace Description:
[Born in ruins where even sound feared to linger, Lykareth did not hunt with speed or strength. It hunted with absence.
It learned the shape of breath, the rhythm of thought, the pause before panic. Yet it was outsmarted by the very pray it decided to hunt one unfortunate day.]
Abilities:
Stillmind Veil:
[The calmer the wolf, the less the world acknowledges its presence.
In absolute stillness, it approaches near-total obscurity.]
Venom of the Quiet End:
[Its fangs carry a paralytic neurotoxin.
The venom weakens muscular strength first, then coordination, then breath.
Panic accelerates its spread.]
Fragmented Will:
[A remnant of Lykareth's original consciousness persists within the Echo.
It does not speak — but it judges and observes.]
Predatory Instinct:
[Its instincts are sharp like a predator. It can sense incoming danger or hostility.]
~~~
[Vile Thieving Bird Spawn]
Trace Type: Devil
Trace Class: Awakened
Trace Description: [Born from greed too ancient to be called sin, the Vile Thieving Bird's Spawn exists as a trace.]
Claims Forsaken: [?/3]
Abilties:
[Prismatic Abyss]
Description: The echo absorbs any elemental phenomenon that makes contact with it fire, lightning, frost, corrosion, light, shadow, and even true darkness.
Absorbed elements may be stored, altered, or reflected, but never without cost.
[Black Testament]
Description: Creatures below or at its rank instinctively fail to register its presence unless it acts with overt hostility. Sound made by its movement is dampened as if swallowed by unseen depth.
SOUL SEA:
Leon's soul sea resembles an ocean. It is vast in the way that real oceans are vast. The water is a deep and particular shade of blue, translucent near the surface and bottomless beneath. Beneath his feet — or rather, beneath the surface he stands on — slow waves move in patterns. No sound of water, despite the fact that the ocean is always moving. Above the ocean, suspended like a sun, is his soul core.
(Post — Roots of Betrayal):
The sky above the sea was fractured. Long cracks stretched across it like broken glass, faint embers glowing within them. The surface of the water was restless, waves colliding in uneven rhythms.
Massive roots still pierced the water in several places, though many had already withered and crumbled into drifting black fragments.
~~~
RESONANCE CORE:
His soul core was deep blue in color — as he stared at it, he felt as though the sea was contained within that orb. It is a deep, oceanic blue — the same shade as the sea beneathit.
The Resonance Core does not accept soul shards. Instead, it gains Resonance Fragments through a different mechanism entirely: by encountering something it has never encountered before, understanding it completely through the act of killing it, and preserving what remains.
Each new enemy type killed yields exactly one Fragment. The same enemy killed a thousand times yields nothing after the first.
It is a core built not for accumulation, but for comprehension.This makes it extraordinarily slow to saturate. It also means that every Fragment it holds represents something irreplaceable — an understanding that cannot be repeated, a moment of genuine encounter that will not come again.
Each resonance fragment corresponds to a node in the constellation below.
~~~
CONSTELLATIONS:
Beneath Leon's Resonance Core, there is a pattern. It resembles a constellation map. Small nodes of light sit at fixed points in the darkness of the deep water, each one connected to the others by thin filaments of luminous energy. The filaments pulse faintly, as though carrying something between the nodes, passing information or memory from one point to another.
They do not look identical. Each node contains a preserved structure — the final form of something. When you look into one long enough, you begin to see it — the outline of a creature, or a person, the shape of their last moment, held in suspension the way amber holds an insect. Not quite dead, not really alive, but something in between.
How the nodes form:
When Leon kills something for the first time, two things happen simultaneously. The Resonance Core gains a Fragment, and a new node ignites on the seafloor below.
The node contains the creature's soul. It also contains the structure of what made it distinct — its patterns, its movement, the principle of what it was, etc.
This is why Leon's aspect, Gaze of Unmaking, is able to read abilities and intentions of creatures he's already killed, with increasing precision. The constellation is not just a collection, it is also a growing reference — a library of sorts.
Why tf do these nodes exist?
I'll tell you in future chapters :D
