Chapter 178 - Chapter 178: The Beautiful Angel Marcarita

"Lord Zeno?" Son Goku was stunned.

"The reason I'm saying this is to tell you: do not easily provoke Lord Zeno. Just look at the Null Realm, and you'll know how terrifying Lord Zeno is. His power is beyond our imagination." Beerus snorted and repeatedly cautioned Goku, his tone extremely serious.

"I didn't expect Lord Zeno to be so incredible. That's truly amazing," Goku remarked, his heart filled with a bit more awe for Lord Zeno.

"It's good that you know. Be careful with what you say and do from now on." Beerus gave Goku a sidelong glance, feeling that he finally had a bit of reverence.

"By the way, Lord Beerus... are you sure the Super Dragon Balls won't generate any negative energy?" Goku was still brooding over this matter and wasn't quite at ease.

So, Goku asked Beerus once more, a hint of worry in his eyes.

"What negative energy?" Beerus was stunned, clearly having never heard of the term.

In fact, regarding the matter of Goku's reincarnation, Beerus was truly in the dark. He had always thought that Goku achieved his current strength solely through his own talent and hard work. Of course, Beerus was even less aware that Vegeta had also been reincarnated. Both of these guys were hiding their own secrets.

"It's when too many wishes are granted; the Dragon Balls absorb too much positive energy, and a substance called negative energy is born. It has a bad influence on everything around it," Goku answered, trying hard to recall his experiences from his previous life.

"How is that possible? The Super Dragon Balls are very stable. I've never heard of them producing such a thing." Beerus shook his head, then followed up with a question, "What happens after this negative energy you speak of is born?"

"Shadow Dragons will appear—powerful creatures condensed from negative energy," Goku said truthfully, a reminiscent look appearing on his face.

"Shadow Dragons? What are those? Are they very strong?" Beerus hadn't heard of them and pursued the matter curiously.

"Very powerful beings... their strength is not to be underestimated," Goku sighed, remembering the difficulty of the battles against the Shadow Dragons. "But since such things won't be born, then there shouldn't be a problem. I was overthinking it."

"Hmph, even you say they're powerful... where are they? I'd like to see for myself," Beerus asked, a hint of competitiveness in his tone.

"They've already been defeated by me," Goku chuckled, a proud expression on his face.

Beerus: "..."

Beerus's face darkened, and he gave Goku an annoyed glare. They've already been defeated by you, so why even bring it up! You got me excited for nothing.

"By the way... didn't Merus come along? I don't seem to see him." Goku suddenly thought of Merus, turning his head to look around and searching for his figure within the Cube.

"No, he's not coming... The Galactic Patrol should have important things to do, right? After all, he is a member of the Galactic Patrol." Beerus smiled and answered flatly.

How could a Trainee Angel follow me out to challenge other Gods of Destruction? Wouldn't that be asking for trouble? Besides, Angels are not warlike. Their duty is to guide the Gods of Destruction, not to participate in combat.

"That's true. The Galactic Patrol is for maintaining peace in the universe, right? It sounds like a great profession." Goku nodded and said thoughtfully, "Actually, I think... it would be better to follow Merus to maintain universe peace than to challenge Gods of Destruction. At least we wouldn't accidentally hurt others."

Beerus: "..."

Is this kid about to change his mind? I finally managed to trick him into coming; I can't let him back out now. But fortunately, we've already left Universe 7. This kid shouldn't be able to sense Ki from so far away. So his Instant Transmission won't work at all; he can't leave even if he wanted to. He can only follow me to Universe 11.

"With Merus's strength, are there still opponents in our Universe 7 that he can't handle? I feel like he's very powerful," Goku asked, stroking his chin, highly acknowledging Merus's strength.

"The universe is vast; powerful mortals will always be born. Although Merus is strong, he's not omnipotent," Beerus said flatly, a hint of sentiment in his tone.

"Yeah, the universe is vast, with hidden dragons and crouching tigers. It's indeed possible," Goku nodded, agreeing with Beerus's statement.

Vegeta didn't join the conversation; he just listened silently on the side, but his heart was in a state of upheaval. Lord Beerus is right. Powerful mortals really are born in the universe. Just like that parallel world I went to. Those guys named Granolah and Gas actually became the strongest in the universe through the Dragon Balls? Isn't that ridiculous? Although it was at the cost of their lifespans, it was still a flash in the pan. That kind of power is truly both desirable and terrifying. The me and Kakarot of that world had already trained to such heights, yet we still seemed to be no match for them. I wonder what their final outcome was? Did the other me and Kakarot defeat that guy named Gas? Also, with my current strength, I should be infinitely close to the me of that world, right?

Originally, Vegeta wanted to tell Beerus about Zamasu to warn him to be careful. However, after thinking it over carefully, Vegeta felt it was better not to meddle. Because in his previous life, Beerus had said that traveling through time and changing time is a serious crime and is absolutely not allowed. Even when the Zamasu incident occurred, Beerus, as a God of Destruction, did not go to Trunks's timeline to destroy him. What Beerus did was only destroy the Zamasu of the current timeline, abiding by the rules of the universe. If he told Beerus about Zamasu now, Beerus would definitely ask how Vegeta knew. Then the secret of his reincarnation wouldn't be hidden, which might lead to unnecessary trouble. I believe Kakarot won't be foolish enough to say it either, right? Although this guy is sometimes naive, he should still keep secrets concerning himself. Vegeta thought a lot for a moment, his thoughts flying like a tangled mess.

"Speaking of maintaining universe peace, I just thought of something." Beerus smiled, a strange look flashing in his eyes as if he were plotting something.

"What is it?" Goku asked, looking at Beerus curiously.

"Universe 11 actually has an organization that maintains justice, specifically fighting evil forces and maintaining universe peace." Beerus's lips curled up into a grin, deliberately whetting Goku's appetite.

"Universe 11? Weren't we going to Universe 4? Why mention Universe 11 again?" Goku was stunned, somewhat confused.

"I think they're called the Pride Troopers... I heard the God of Destruction of Universe 11 say that their strength is quite good," Beerus mused, trying hard to recall the information he had heard.

"Pride Troopers? That name sounds so imposing. I haven't heard of it." A hint of interest flashed in Goku's eyes.

"Since you want to maintain universe peace, you can go to the Pride Planet in Universe 11 to take a look. Maybe you can exchange experiences with them," Beerus suggested with a smile, his tone full of temptation.

"Sure... then let's go take a look... Is it on the way to Universe 11 now?" Goku asked, fearing it would be too far out of the way.

"Regardless of whether it's on the way, I happen to have some business in Universe 11. We can go to Universe 11 first, then to Universe 4. It won't delay anything." Beerus revealed a triumphant smile, his grin growing more radiant.

This kid really took the bait; he's too easy to fool. I thought it would take a lot of effort, but I didn't expect it to be settled so easily.

"I remember now... Hit said there's a guy named Jiren in Universe 11 who is very strong, seemingly from the Pride Troopers. I wonder if it's true," Goku mused, his eyes flashing with a desire for battle.

"Jiren? I have indeed heard of this person. He should be the strongest mortal in Universe 11. His strength is not to be underestimated; he might even be stronger than you." Beerus nodded slightly, deliberately stimulating Goku.

"The strongest mortal in Universe 11? Then I must see for myself just how strong he is." Goku sighed repeatedly, then turned to ask Bardock and Vegeta, "Dad, Vegeta, what do you think? Should we go to Universe 11 first?"

"Hmph, of course I want to see that guy named Jiren and see if he's really that powerful." Vegeta didn't object and readily agreed.

"I don't mind; it's the same wherever we go," Bardock nodded in agreement.

Broly didn't speak; he just stood silently on the side. He didn't care where they went as long as there was a fight. Mainly, no one asked for Broly's opinion; everyone was already used to his taciturn nature.

"Then let's take a trip to Universe 11." Beerus revealed a knowing smile, controlling the Flight Cube and increasing its speed, flying toward Universe 11.

In fact, the Flight Cube was already flying toward Universe 11, so there was no need to change direction at all. Beerus had intended to go to Universe 11 from the very beginning.

After traveling for a very, very long time, the surrounding cosmic environment gradually changed, and some unique stars belonging to Universe 11 appeared. The Flight Cube finally entered the range of Universe 11.

"Is this Universe 11? It looks similar to our Universe 7," Goku asked excitedly, leaning over the edge of the Cube with a face full of curiosity, carefully observing everything around them.

"Yes, this is Universe 11," Beerus nodded, his tone flat.

"It feels like there's not much difference from Universe 7; it's all similar stars and nebulae." Goku scratched his head, suddenly a bit disappointed, having thought there would be some special sights.

"Originally, there really isn't much difference between universes. Universes are all composed of galaxies, containing countless planets and life. There's nothing unusual about it," Beerus answered simply, having long since become accustomed to these things.

WHOOSH!

The Flight Cube traveled rapidly through the starry sky of Universe 11 and soon approached its destination. After another period of time, Goku and the others suddenly saw an inverted pyramid-shaped planet suspended in the universe, radiating a unique aura. This planet was very similar to Beerus's Planet; both were places where Gods of Destruction lived. It was precisely the Sacred World of the Kai of Universe 11, which could also be called Planet Belmod. Because the God of Destruction of Universe 11 was named Belmod, the planet was named after him.

Goku had never seen the Sacred World of the Kai of another universe from such a position before. His face was full of curiosity, his eyes wide.

"It's the first time I've seen such a strange planet, actually in the shape of an inverted pyramid. So interesting," Goku remarked, clicking his tongue in wonder, unable to help pointing at the planet.

"Hmph, this should be the Sacred World of the Kai of Universe 11. There's nothing to make a fuss about." Vegeta acted as if he had seen it all before, even taking the opportunity to look down on Goku, feeling he was too inexperienced.

"So that's the Sacred World of the Kai. Lord Beerus, do you live in a place like this too? It looks so spectacular," Goku asked Beerus, his eyes full of curiosity.

"The appearance of the planets is similar, but the layout inside is completely different, each with its own style." Beerus smiled slightly.

WHOOSH!

The Flight Cube dove straight toward the surface of Planet Belmod with a whistling sound. In the next instant, the Flight Cube landed steadily on the ground of Planet Belmod, kicking up a slight bit of dust. Beerus leaped down from the Flight Cube with light movements, looked around, and surveyed this familiar yet strange Sacred World of the Kai. Goku and the others also stepped out of the Cube one by one, curiously observing the surrounding environment.

FLASH!

Suddenly, a beautiful figure flickered and appeared beside Beerus, moving so fast that her actions were a blur.

She had pale blue skin that glowed softly in the sunlight, a curvaceous figure, and wore her hair in two playful pigtails. Holding an exquisite staff and dressed in the divine attire of an Angel, she exuded an air of nobility and elegance. This was Marcarita, the beautiful Angel of Universe 11.

"Oh my, oh my, isn't this Lord Beerus? Haven't you been sleeping all this time? What brings you awake today, and all the way here to our Universe 11?" Marcarita greeted him with a smile, her tone friendly.

"Where is Belmod? Where is he?" Beerus skipped the pleasantries and asked directly, a hint of anticipation in his eyes.

"Lord Belmod has gone out on business. He should be back in a little while," Marcarita answered with a smile, her tone relaxed.

"How much longer?" Beerus asked again, appearing somewhat impatient.

"At least an hour or so," Marcarita replied after a quick calculation.

Then, Marcarita's gaze swept over Son Goku and the others one by one, filled with curiosity and scrutiny, as she gave a polite nod.

"Lord Beerus, I'm hungry. Is there anything to eat here?" Son Goku rubbed his stomach, a look of hunger appearing on his face.

Beerus: "..."

Beerus's face darkened, and he gave Goku an annoyed look. "You just ate not long ago, didn't you? And that meal was at your house; you ate so much, how are you hungry again?" Beerus asked with wide eyes, feeling helpless at Goku's appetite.

"Well... we've been flying for such a long time; it's time to eat," Goku remarked, explaining with a straight face. He then asked, "Isn't Lord Beerus hungry?"

"I'm not," Beerus shook his head, his tone resolute.

Goku ignored Beerus and fumbled around his person for a moment, pulling a Hoi-Poi Capsule from his pocket. His eyes immediately lit up, and a surprised smile appeared on his face. "Great! This is the food Chi-Chi packed for me. I won't be polite then." Goku chuckled and threw the capsule out with force.

POP!

The capsule landed, and a table full of sumptuous dishes instantly appeared, their aroma wafting through the air. Beerus's eyes immediately flashed with light, and his nose involuntarily twitched. Food made by Goku's wife? Then I must have a good meal. Thinking back to what he had eaten on Earth, the aftertaste was still endless.

Beerus didn't stand on ceremony; he walked straight to the table, sat down, and started eating without hesitation.

"Didn't Lord Beerus say he wasn't hungry? Why are you eating so heartily now?" Goku wiped the sweat from his forehead, somewhat caught between laughter and tears.

"I eat to enjoy fine food, not to fill my stomach. It's different from you humans," Beerus snorted, his mouth full of food as he spoke indistinctly. "Who told your wife to make such delicious food? I can't resist this kind of temptation."

"Dad, Vegeta, Broly, come over and eat together, don't be polite," Goku greeted them one by one. He then looked at Marcarita and asked curiously, "This lady... she's of the same race as Whis, right? Her aura seems very similar."

"Yes, we are both Angels," Marcarita nodded slightly, answering with a smile.

"You should eat too, don't be polite. Food tastes better when shared," Goku smiled, extending a warm invitation.

"Alright then, I won't be polite." Marcarita didn't stand on ceremony; she also sat down and picked up her chopsticks. You've set the dining table in our home; if I don't eat, wouldn't I be doing myself a disservice? And a disservice to such delicious food.

After taking a bite of the roast chicken, Marcarita's eyebrows instantly began a joyful dance, and a look of intoxication appeared on her face.

"Haha, do Angels' eyebrows dance too? Whis was like this when he ate delicious food before," Goku laughed, finding it very interesting.

"Oh my, oh my, this is truly delicious! It's the first time I've eaten such wonderful food; the taste is absolutely superb," Marcarita remarked in wonder, constantly exclaiming as her chopsticks picked up speed.

An hour later, the dishes on the table had been cleaned out by Goku and the others, with hardly any sauce left. Marcarita kept smacking her lips, a satisfied smile on her face, feeling that this was the best food she had ever eaten in her life.

"How is it? Your Universe 11 doesn't have such delicious things, right? The food in our Universe 7 is quite formidable," Beerus smiled at Marcarita, looking triumphant, his tone full of boasting.

"There really isn't. Compared to this, the food in our Universe 11 is simply far behind," Marcarita nodded candidly. She couldn't help but ask, "Where did Lord Beerus discover such delicious things? I'd like to go and try them too."

"It's nothing, just a planet called Earth in our Universe 7. There are many types of food there, and the flavors are all very unique." Beerus spoke with a smile, then added seriously, "But you can't tell that fellow Belmod about this."

"Understood, understood. I won't tell him," Marcarita readily agreed.

"What can't you tell me?"

As they were speaking, a majestic voice rang out from high above, carrying a hint of displeasure.

WHOOSH!

In the next instant, Belmod, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, descended from the sky with two others. They landed steadily on the planet's surface, appearing beside Beerus, their bodies radiating powerful auras.

"Beerus? You fellow, what are you doing in our Universe 11 for no reason? You're not welcome here," Belmod said with a dark face, clearly not fond of Beerus, his tone full of hostility.

"Just woke up and went for a stroll. I just happened to stroll into your Universe 11," Beerus smiled slightly, his expression calm, as if he hadn't heard the unfriendliness in Belmod's words.

"You're not welcome here. Get lost! Don't be an eyesore," Belmod snorted, rolling his eyes repeatedly as he issued a blunt order to leave.

Beerus: "..."

"Lord Beerus, you don't seem very welcome," Son Goku whispered into Beerus's ear, his tone carrying a hint of teasing.

"Shut up! Try saying one more word!" Beerus glared at him, giving Goku a fierce look. Goku sensibly covered his mouth, snickering on the side.

Then, Goku took a deep look at Belmod, scanning him from top to bottom, his eyes full of curiosity. Belmod was a God of Destruction who looked like a clown, wearing the unique attire of a God of Destruction. His appearance was indeed quite strange, completely different from Beerus's image. Goku couldn't sense the strength of a God of Destruction, so he couldn't tell much, only feeling from his aura that he was very powerful.

Next, Goku focused his attention on the two people Belmod had brought with him. One of them had thick, muscular arms and a large mustache, looking very powerful. The other looked somewhat similar to Beerus... well, the skin color was similar, and the image was a bit alike, especially that arrogant streak. These two were Toppo, the leader of the Pride Troopers, and Dyspo, the deputy leader.

"Lord Beerus, that person couldn't be your brother, could he? You look so much alike," Goku whispered into Beerus's ear again, his tone full of surprise.

Beerus's face darkened, and he glared at Goku angrily, scolding him, "What kind of eyes do you have? That fellow is a rabbit; I'm a cat-person! How could he be my brother? Not even close!"

"Ah? So he's a rabbit... I thought he was of the same race as Lord Beerus," Goku realized, scratching the back of his head.

Beerus also looked toward Toppo and Dyspo, and his interest was piqued. A smile curled his lips. Today is my lucky day. Belmod just happened to bring two mortals along as well; it's the perfect chance to let them spar with Goku and the others. This is going to be much more fun.
