At the moment of close-quarters combat with Trunks, Frost pretended to show an opening. As Trunks launched his attack, Frost's arm moved slightly, and the poison needle silently pierced Trunks' arm.
Trunks' pupils turned white as a strong wave of numbness instantly surged through his entire body. His head spun, and he lost consciousness in an instant, his body going limp and falling over.
Bang!
Seeing this, Frost delivered a ruthless kick, sending the unconscious Trunks flying out of the ring.
"Trunks!" Goten was the first to rush over, kneeling on the ground to nervously check Trunks' injuries, his small hands gently patting his friend. "Wake up, Trunks!"
"Trunks lost?" Goku was a bit surprised. He rested his chin in his hand and stared silently at Frost on the stage, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Trunks had clearly held the upper hand just a moment ago.
Frost stood on the stage with a smug smile, his grin widening as a flash of imperceptible cunning crossed his eyes.
"Contestant Trunks has fallen out of bounds! Contestant Frost is the winner!" the referee immediately raised his flag and announced the result loudly.
The people from Universe 7 were all a bit surprised, looking at one another in disbelief.
Mainly because Trunks had been dominating Frost throughout the fight, and no one expected him to be eliminated so easily.
This reversal had happened far too quickly.
Only Vegeta looked as if he had seen it all before. He stood to the side with his arms crossed, watching coldly with a mocking curl to his lips.
No need to rush. Let this guy celebrate for a little while longer.
"Vegeta, was Trunks eliminated in your previous life too?" Goku leaned over to Vegeta and whispered curiously.
"In my previous life, Trunks didn't participate in the tournament," Vegeta said flatly, his gaze still locked on Frost.
"Eh? Trunks didn't participate?" Goku was stunned, then asked, "What about Goten? Did he not participate either?"
"Correct," Vegeta nodded, his lips curling into a playful smirk. "In the previous life, the one who lost to Frost was you."
"Huh? I lost to that guy? I must have been careless," Goku scratched his head, sounding quite surprised.
How could I lose to a guy like that?
"You'll find out in a bit," Vegeta chuckled, having no intention of explaining immediately.
The real show was yet to come.
Seeing Trunks from Universe 7 eliminated, Champa finally breathed a small sigh of relief. His tense face relaxed a bit, and he shot Beerus a triumphant glance.
Finally, he had won a round.
Otherwise, it would have been too embarrassing to let that little brat eliminate another one of his fighters.
Champa nodded at Frost with satisfaction, offering a small bit of praise.
"Trunks, hey, wake up! Wake up!" Goten shouted as he frantically slapped Trunks across the face. The strikes weren't hard, but they were filled with desperation.
Trunks slowly blinked awake under the barrage. His mind was a complete blank as he looked at Goten in a daze, his gaze unfocused. "Mmm... what happened?"
"Thank goodness, Trunks, you're finally awake! Are you okay?" Goten was thrilled and grabbed Trunks' arm.
"Why does my face hurt so much?" Trunks rubbed his cheek, feeling a burning sensation.
"Trunks, did you forget? How did you lose to that guy?" Goten asked urgently, his face full of confusion.
"Oh yeah... I lost." Trunks finally realized what had happened. He turned to look at Frost on the stage, his eyes full of resentment.
"Young Trunks, your performance was indeed quite good, but there's still a huge gap between you and me," Frost said with a hypocritical smile, looking down at Trunks and taking the chance to lecture him. "I hope you'll keep working hard and train well when you go back. You're still young; you'll surely surpass me one day."
"O-okay," Trunks nodded, not yet fully grasping the man's hypocrisy.
"Now then, let us continue with the next match," the referee cleared his throat and announced loudly.
"Wait!" Vegeta suddenly spoke up. His voice wasn't loud, but it carried an unquestionable authority.
Everyone immediately focused their gaze on Vegeta, curious about what he was going to do.
"Before my match, there's a very important matter that needs to be settled," Vegeta huffed. His figure flickered, and in an instant, he appeared beside Frost, his speed so great that no one could see him move.
Frost was startled and instinctively clutched his chest, taking a step back as if Vegeta were about to do something terrible to him, his eyes full of wariness.
Clap!
Vegeta reached out with a large hand and grabbed Frost's wrist. The force was so great that Frost grimaced in pain.
"What... what are you doing?" Frost's voice trembled slightly, an ominous feeling rising in his heart.
"What am I doing? You're about to find out!" Vegeta snorted, his gaze cold as a blade.
Frost's heart skipped a beat.
Could it be that my hidden poison needle was discovered?
No way!
This needle is hidden in such a secret place; how could he possibly find it?
I must be overthinking it!
I'll just refuse to admit it.
The pressure from Vegeta's hand suddenly intensified as he squeezed Frost's arm hard.
"Ah..."
Frost let out a pained cry, and the poison needle was suddenly forced out of his arm, gleaming with a cold light.
"Hmph. Referee, come over and take a look. What is this?" Vegeta beckoned to the referee.
The referee quickly walked onto the stage, leaned over, and lightly touched the needle with his finger.
Plop!
The referee's vision instantly blurred, and his mind went blank. He collapsed on the spot, foaming at the mouth.
However, he soon wobbled back to his feet, his face pale as he glared at Frost with intense fury.
"What?" Champa's expression shifted repeatedly as he bolted upright from his seat.
Could it be that Frost had only won by cheating?
"You cheated!" the referee pointed at Frost and shouted, his voice trembling with anger.
"This isn't a weapon; it's a part of my body," Frost continued his final attempt at a desperate excuse, trying to bluff his way through.
"No, there are clear signs of artificial craftsmanship!!" The referee shook his head, his tone firm.
"Curse it... so you saw through it!" Frost stopped pretending and snorted, a savage expression appearing on his face. "That kid earlier was your son, right? He should consider himself lucky that I didn't kill him!"
"Oh? Is that so?" Vegeta smiled thinly, but the killing intent in his eyes was thick enough to be felt.
"Contestant Frost has violated the rules and is disqualified! Therefore, the winner of the previous match is Trunks!" the referee announced loudly, correcting the result.
"That damn lizard! He actually cheated to win! How shameless!" Trunks fumed, clenching his fists so hard his knuckles turned white.
If I hadn't been poisoned just now, I definitely wouldn't have lost.
With a dark expression, Frost began to walk down from the stage, his eyes full of venom.
"Champa, what kind of fighters are you finding?" Beerus took the chance to mock him, a smirk on his face. "Winning by cheating—don't you find it embarrassing?"
Champa: "..."
Champa's face turned black, and he felt a burning sensation on his cheeks. He glared at Frost, his eyes filled with rage.
When Frost saw Champa's gaze, his expression changed, and he immediately went on high alert, his body trembling slightly.
"You've made me lose face big time," Champa snorted. The veins on his forehead were throbbing, and killing intent flashed in his eyes as a terrifying aura radiated from him.
"Hmph. I just wanted to end this boring tournament that doesn't even have prize money as quickly as possible," Frost grunted, trying to hold his ground.
"I'm going to destroy you!" Destruction energy began to gather in Champa's hand. A purple energy sphere swirled in his palm, emitting an aura of annihilation.
"Wait a moment, let me handle him," Vegeta called out to Champa, stopping him.
Champa was slightly taken aback and turned to look at Vegeta, his eyes full of confusion.
"Let him continue the match!" Vegeta suggested, a cold smile curling his lips. "I won't be able to rest easy until I've given this shameless bastard a proper thrashing."
"Hmph. Whatever you want!" Champa said flatly, dispersing the destruction energy in his hand.
"How could I easily forgive someone who dared to bully my son?" Vegeta snorted, his eyes locked onto Frost.
Frost: "..."
Frost swallowed hard and forced himself back onto the stage. His eyes were full of terror, but he tried to maintain his composure.
"Now then... before the match, there's one more thing..." The referee was a bit uncertain and looked at Vegeta. "Mr. Vegeta, technically Contestant Trunks could continue the match. What should he do?"
"Consider it a forfeit," Vegeta answered, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Trunks: "..."
Trunks looked aggrieved. How could Dad be like this?
"Are you sure?" the referee asked, unable to believe his ears.
"Losing a match due to carelessness counts as a forfeit, of course," Vegeta snorted, answering as if it were common sense, casting a glance at Trunks that carried a hint of a lesson.
"Very well! It's decided then!" the referee announced loudly.
Trunks stood below the stage with a pained expression, complaining inwardly.
Dad, it wasn't that I was careless!
It was that guy who had no martial ethics and cheated to win!
"Trunks, remember this: never underestimate your opponent, no matter what," Vegeta called out to Trunks, his voice carrying clearly.
Trunks was stunned, looking at his father thoughtfully.
"When facing an opponent weaker than you, you must use your full strength to defeat them quickly!" As Vegeta spoke, a brilliant golden light suddenly erupted from his body. Golden flames shot into the sky as he activated his Super Saiyan transformation.
Crackle... crackle...
Golden arcs of electricity swirled around Vegeta's body, popping and crackling. His aura was far more powerful than Trunks' previous transformation, and the entire stage trembled slightly.
Vegeta had activated the Super Saiyan 2 transformation. His hair stood even more upright, and his gaze grew sharper.
"Use a transformation that far surpasses them, leaving them with no chance to resist," Vegeta explained to Trunks with a smile, as if giving a live demonstration.
Frost's face paled. He felt things were taking a turn for the worse, and his legs were trembling slightly.
This aura was simply too terrifying.
"Wait a minute... is this Vegeta guy's transformation even stronger than before?" Champa suddenly noticed something was off and hurriedly asked Vados, his tone laced with unease.
"Yes, indeed. His current transformation is at least a hundred times stronger than his base form," Vados gave a reasonable evaluation, a sweet smile still on her face.
"You... what did you say? A hundred times!?" Champa gasped, his eyes widening in total disbelief.
"Oh my, it truly is quite remarkable," Vados smiled, her tone relaxed.
"Well, it doesn't matter. We have Hit, don't we?" Champa took a deep breath and forced himself to stay calm, looking over at Hit.
"Yes. Even if Mr. Vegeta's strength has increased a hundredfold, there's still a world of difference between him and Hit," Vados answered with a smile, putting Champa's mind at ease.
"I feel much better hearing you say that," Champa nodded gently, his confidence returning.
"Let the match begin!" the referee announced loudly, his voice trembling slightly.
Hit sat below the stage, casting a deep, complex look at Vegeta.
Goku was right after all; Vegeta had indeed been reincarnated.
Otherwise, he couldn't have discovered the poison needle hidden in Frost's arm.
Even a God of Destruction would have a hard time noticing that needle.
This is getting more and more interesting.
It seems my final opponent in this life is this Vegeta guy?
Vegeta's lips curled upward as he looked at Frost with a smile, but there was no warmth in his eyes—only cold killing intent.
"I... I sur—" Frost felt more and more that things were wrong. His survival instinct made him want to surrender immediately, and the words were just about to leave his mouth.
Vegeta, of course, wasn't going to give Frost a chance to surrender.
You beat my son like that, and now you want to surrender?
Too late!
Watch how I deal with you!
Whoosh!
In an instant, Vegeta closed the distance between him and Frost, moving as fast as an instant transmission.
Bang!
Vegeta delivered a swift uppercut, slamming it hard into Frost's abdomen. The blow sent him flying into the air, his body doubling over like a shrimp.
The word "surrender" that Frost was about to say was forced back down his throat, and he could only let out a pained groan.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Vegeta unleashed a barrage of strikes on the mid-air Frost. Various combination punches rained down on him like a violent storm, the sound of fists hitting flesh echoing across the stage.
Frost was beaten senseless, unable to fight back. He felt like a punching bag, swaying helplessly in the air as he was humiliated, only able to let out one tragic wail after another.
Vegeta grabbed Frost by the head and slammed him heavily onto the stage floor.
Bang!
A loud crash echoed as the ground was smashed into a large crater. Frost's head was driven deep into the floor, leaving only his body outside, twitching.
Immediately after, Vegeta grabbed Frost by the collar and lifted him high like a small chick. He swung his arms left and right, delivering several heavy slaps to Frost's face, knocking out a few of his teeth.
Frost had long since passed out. He was completely unconscious now, hanging limp like a pile of mud.
"Hmph. Boring fellow," Vegeta snorted. Like throwing away trash, he grabbed Frost by the leg and hurled him off the stage, where he crashed heavily onto the open ground below.
"Contestant Frost is unconscious! The winner is Contestant Vegeta!" The referee, terrified by Frost's miserable appearance, shuddered and hurriedly announced the result.
"Hmph. This guy's desire for revenge is quite strong," Beerus squinted and gave a light chuckle, his tail swaying leisurely behind him. He found Vegeta's actions on the stage rather interesting.
"Oh my. After all, it was Mr. Vegeta's son who was hit. Fatherly love is always very intense," Whis said with a smile, his staff spinning gently in his hand, his tone carrying a hint of warmth.
"Vegeta said he's going to eliminate all the remaining contestants. Let's see if he can do it," Beerus huffed, a trace of anticipation in his voice.
Whis didn't respond, merely maintaining his gentle smile as his gaze remained on the stage.
"I originally thought Frost was a good person, but I didn't expect him to be such a hypocrite," Bardock remarked, glancing toward where Frost lay unconscious.
"Yes, indeed. You can know a person's face but not their heart," Gine nodded, speaking with deep resonance.
"Perhaps he'll eventually turn into someone like Frieza in the future," Piccolo guessed, rubbing his chin. He had never been fond of such insidious and cunning characters.
"Luckily, Prince Vegeta took care of him," Raditz grinned, then rubbed his head a bit awkwardly. " I've realized that the timing of my resurrection was off. These people are all too strong; I feel like I can't keep up."
"You should be satisfied," Gine glared at Raditz and said crossly. "At least you're still a Saiyan. I've been reincarnated as an Earthling; it's not even that convenient for me to train."
Raditz scratched his head and gave a dry laugh, not daring to talk back to his mother, and could only listen silently from the side.
"As a Saiyan, as long as you train hard, you will surely become strong in the future. At the very least, becoming a Super Saiyan shouldn't be much of a problem," Gine looked at Raditz and taught him earnestly, her eyes filled with encouragement.
"Yes... I... I understand, Mom," Raditz hurriedly nodded in agreement, inwardly resolving to train hard.
"Now then, let us continue with the next match," the referee cleared his throat and announced into the microphone. "It will be Contestant Vegeta versus Contestant Magetta of Universe 6."
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Magetta stepped onto the stage with heavy strides. He was a Metalman with an extremely heavy body, and every step made the stage groan under the burden.
The moment Magetta stepped onto the ring, the ground was instantly crushed into clear cracks that spread like a spiderweb due to his immense weight.
Gurgle...
Magetta opened his large mechanical mouth, picked up a container from the side, and poured a cup of lava into his throat. The lava churned in his stomach, making a bubbling sound that looked quite terrifying.
Vegeta was already accustomed to this and showed no expression on his face.
In his previous life, Vegeta had put in quite a bit of effort to deal with this guy. Even after transforming into a Super Saiyan, he could only manage a draw and even fell into a disadvantage at one point.
Furthermore, at that time, Kakarot had suggested that Vegeta should throw the large metal man out of the ring.
Vegeta thought it was a good idea and tried to lift Magetta, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't budge Magetta's body even an inch.
Later, Beerus said that Magetta's weight had reached 1,000 tons. Vegeta was so angry his nose nearly went crooked, and he cursed Kakarot a thousand times in his heart for such a rotten idea!
Vroom...
Plumes of black smoke puffed out from the vents on top of Magetta's head like a steam engine. He also pounded his chest hard with both fists, letting out a dull thud in an attempt to intimidate his opponent.
Vegeta remained completely unmoved, standing there with his arms crossed and a cool expression, as if the other's demonstration was nothing more than child's play in his eyes.
"Go Dad!" Trunks cheered loudly for Vegeta, waving his fists vigorously from below the stage.
"Vegeta, can you handle it?" Goku asked with a grin.
"Hmph. Kakarot, I told you, you won't even get a chance to step out," Vegeta snorted and turned his head to give Goku a triumphant smile, his eyes full of confidence.
Goku didn't say anything, just scratched his head and chuckled.
"Let the match begin!" the referee announced loudly, and his flag dropped.
The moment the match started, Magetta charged toward Vegeta like a heavy tank, his steps leaving deep craters in the ground.
Currently, Vegeta still maintained his Super Saiyan 2 transformation. His golden hair fluttered in the wind, and golden arcs of electricity crackled around his body.
Seeing Magetta charging at him, Vegeta's reaction speed was extremely fast. He shifted his body slightly and delivered a heavy punch that accurately struck Magetta's chest.
The force of this punch was incredibly powerful, instantly knocking Magetta back several steps, and a large section of the stage beneath his feet was crushed.
However, Vegeta also winced in pain from the impact of the punch.
Metalmen were indeed extraordinary; the hardness of their bodies was second to none, feeling just like hitting a steel plate.
Vegeta, of course, knew the weakness of the Metalmen.
In his previous life, Vegeta had merely said that the other was a piece of junk, which made Magetta lose his connection and get easily eliminated.
But in this life, Vegeta didn't intend to win through such means. He felt that would be too boring, and this guy was perfect for a warm-up.
Vegeta directly charged toward the Metalman in his Super Saiyan 2 form, launching a fierce attack. His punches and kicks rained down on Magetta like hailstones.
One could say that Vegeta was facing the Metalman Magetta head-on, showing no fear whatsoever.
Champa was dumbfounded, his eyes wide and his expression shocked, his mouth slightly agape.
This Vegeta guy was not simple at all; he actually fought the Metalman for so long without losing, and he even held the upper hand.
