"Videl?" Gine was stunned for a moment, then, as if catching a life-saving straw, she hurriedly said, "Grandpa was pushed down by her! Videl, please save my grandpa!"
"Elder Ji?" Videl's gaze immediately shifted to the stairs. Seeing the unconscious old man on the floor and the snaking trail of blood, her brow furrowed deeply. She urgently said to Son Gohan, "Gohan, did you bring any Senzu Beans?"
"Ah... I have one here." Son Gohan reacted instantly, pulling a bright Senzu Bean from his pocket. He rushed down the stairs, carefully pried open Elder Ji's mouth, and fed the bean to him.
A soft green light instantly radiated from within the old man's body.
In the blink of an eye, the wounds on the old man's body healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, and his originally pale complexion returned to a healthy ruddy glow.
Elder Ji suddenly snapped his eyes open and sprang up from the floor. He stretched his limbs, as if the fall just now had been nothing but an illusion.
Seeing this, Ji Huahua's face turned deathly pale. Her legs went weak, and she nearly collapsed onto the floor.
Wasn't Grandpa on the verge of death?
How did he become so lively again just by eating a strange bean?
What kind of divine bean is this?!
"Ji Huahua!" Elder Ji turned around and immediately saw Ji Huahua standing at the top of the stairs. He shook with rage, pointing his cane at her, his voice raspy with fury. "You... you cruel and unscrupulous creature!"
The old man could never have imagined that the granddaughter he had doted on since childhood would personally push him down the stairs!
If this young man hadn't stepped in with that Senzu Bean just now, he truly would have died at the hands of his own granddaughter!
"Videl, you've come at the perfect time!" Elder Ji took a deep breath, trying to suppress his anger, and said to Videl, "I want to donate all of the Gine family's assets to Mr. Satan! I won't leave a single cent to this ungrateful girl!"
Videl: "????"
Videl blinked, looking a bit bewildered.
"Um... wasn't this inheritance originally meant for Gine?" Videl asked after a moment's pause.
"That's right..." Elder Ji looked at Gine in her wheelchair, his eyes full of pity. He let out a helpless sigh and slowly closed his eyes, two murky tears rolling down his cheeks. "But you've seen Gine's condition... I'm afraid she..."
"Then... then there's no need to donate it to my father," Videl's eyes darted around as she said with a giggle. "You can give it to me or to Gine... after all, we're all one family, right, Gohan?"
As she spoke, Videl turned to look at Son Gohan and gave him a wink.
Son Gohan: "..."
It seems... that makes sense?
We really are all one family.
"One family?" Elder Ji looked bewildered, glancing at Videl, then at Son Gohan, and finally resting his gaze on Bardock.
This man was looking at his granddaughter with such deep affection that his gaze seemed tender enough to melt water.
"Who is this man?" Elder Ji pointed at Bardock, asking curiously. "I feel like I've seen him somewhere before..."
"Who are you..." Gine also stared blankly at Bardock, asking in a small voice.
"Gine..." Bardock's voice was low and gentle, carrying a longing that had been suppressed for far too long. He reached out and gently stroked Gine's hair, his fingertips carrying a cautious sense of treasure. "All these years, you've suffered."
Gine: "????"
Gine became even more confused, instinctively pulling her head back.
Who are you?
I don't know you at all!
"Gohan, go home and get the medicine immediately!" Bardock suddenly turned and commanded Son Gohan in a low, unquestionable tone.
"Ah... okay, Grandpa." Son Gohan nodded. Not daring to delay, he immediately flew out the window, turning into a streak of light that quickly vanished into the horizon.
"Grandpa?" Gine was even more bewildered, blinking her eyes.
That person just called him Grandpa?
This man looks like he's only in his twenties or thirties, right?
He's a grandfather at such a young age?
"Gine, I've already found the special medicine to treat your viral heart disease." Videl leaned into Gine's ear, her tone carrying a hint of joy.
"Special medicine?" Gine was stunned again, a glimmer of hope flashing in her eyes.
"That's right, you're not going to die!" Videl said with a smile. "And even if the medicine doesn't work, we have other ways to make you better!"
"Is... is that true? Videl! You're not lying to me, are you?" Gine was both surprised and delighted. A hint of color finally returned to her pale face as she tightly gripped Videl's hand, as if catching her last life-saving straw.
"It's true... but..." Videl's tone shifted, a look of being caught between laughter and tears appearing on her face as she sighed.
"But what?" Gine's heart sank again. Looking at Videl's expression, her voice trembled. "I'm still going to die, aren't I?"
"It's not that you'll die..." Videl scratched her head and said with some embarrassment, "It's... you might be about to become my grandmother."
"What?" Gine was completely baffled, staring at Videl with wide eyes, her face full of confusion.
What do you mean I'm about to become your grandmother?
I'm only sixteen!
Am I really that old?
"And this person is..." Gine pointed again at Bardock, who had been watching her tenderly, and turned to ask Videl.
"Ah... he's my boyfriend's grandfather, Bardock," Videl introduced. She then asked curiously, "Do you have any memory of that name?"
"Bardock? I've never heard of it..." Gine shook her head, then suddenly seemed to remember something and asked in surprise, "Wait, when did you get a boyfriend? How come I didn't know?"
"I started dating him while you were away from school recovering at home," Videl said with a smile, a sweet blush on her face. "His name is Son Gohan—the one who just flew out to get the medicine."
Gine: "..."
Gine covered her forehead, feeling her mind become even more of a mess.
"Wait a minute..." After a moment of bewilderment, Gine asked between laughter and tears, "I never agreed to date this Mr. Bardock, so how could I possibly become your grandmother?"
"To put it simply..." Videl took a deep breath, trying to organize her words. "In your past life, you were Grandpa Bardock's wife."
"Huh? Past life?" Gine was completely dumbfounded, her mouth twitching. She felt this was simply a tall tale.
"In your past life, you were a Saiyan from a warrior race, and you were very powerful!" Videl continued to explain. "And also, the person who defeated Cell back then wasn't actually my father—it was my boyfriend Son Gohan and his father, Uncle Son Goku. They're all Saiyans from Planet Vegeta."
"Huh?" Gine's mouth hung open. She was completely lost, feeling as if she were listening to a science fiction story.
"Gine, I've finally found you." Bardock's voice rang out again, filled with the tenderness of something lost and found. His gaze never left Gine's face.
Gine looked at him and opened her mouth, but didn't know what to say.
So in my past life, I was an alien?
The problem is, I don't have any memories of a past life at all!
In this life, I haven't even been in a relationship yet!
And now... I'm suddenly a grandmother?
Gine felt caught between laughter and tears, and also felt an inexplicable sense of panic.
"As for you!"
Bardock's expression suddenly became icy cold. His gaze was as piercing as freezing ice as he abruptly turned toward the trembling Ji Huahua.
Shaken by this powerful aura, Ji Huahua was scared out of her wits. Her legs went weak, and she fell to her knees with a thud, her teeth chattering.
"Sister, sister, please, save me! Don't kill me!" Ji Huahua lay on the floor, crying with snot and tears. Her body shook like a sieve, and her forehead was pressed tight against the cold floor.
"You cruel and unscrupulous creature!" Elder Ji shook with rage, his cane thumping heavily against the floor. "How did you treat Gine just now? And now you have the nerve to beg for mercy!"
"Grandpa, sister, I know I was wrong! I'll never do it again!" Ji Huahua was truly terrified. Her face was as pale as paper, and her voice carried a sob. "I can swear to the heavens, swear to the gods!"
Ji Huahua knew very well that Videl herself was not to be trifled with, and the murderous intent in the eyes of this stranger who had suddenly appeared made her feel a chill deep in her bones.
"Swear to the gods?" Videl was slightly taken aback, then she also looked coldly at Ji Huahua, her eyes devoid of any pity.
Also, by 'god,' do you mean Dende?
"Sister, I won't fight for the inheritance anymore! Please forgive me, I really won't do it again! I've truly repented!" Ji Huahua cried and begged for mercy again, nearly banging her head against the floor.
"I've said it many times—I have no interest in the inheritance at all." Gine looked coldly at Ji Huahua, her tone full of disappointment.
Clack! Clack! Clack!
Just then, a flurry of hurried footsteps came from downstairs. Over a dozen fully armed men in black rushed up, their submachine guns pointed directly at everyone present, the dark muzzles glinting with a cold light.
Following them, Ji Huahua's parents stepped out from the crowd, smiles of certain victory on their faces.
As if seeing her saviors, Ji Huahua immediately scrambled up from the floor and crawled behind her parents. She let out a long sigh of relief, a glimmer of hope reigniting in her eyes.
"Oh, isn't this Mr. Satan's daughter, Miss Videl?" Ji Huahua's mother crossed her arms, her tone full of cold mockery as she chuckled. "You've come at quite an unfortunate time. Why don't you all die here together today?"
Videl's expression changed slightly, but she showed no intention of backing down. She stepped forward to shield Gine's wheelchair, her gaze firm.
"Are you two trying to start a rebellion?" Elder Ji flew into a rage, pointing at his daughter and son-in-law, shaking with anger.
"Father, you're too biased!" Ji Huahua's mother roared, her face full of resentment. "I'm your only daughter! You'd rather give the inheritance to this sickly girl than to me!"
"Enough talk, kill them all!" Ji Huahua's father's gaze was ruthless. With a wave of his hand, he gave the order.
The dozen or so armed men immediately chambered their rounds, the click-clack sounds echoing through the room as their muzzles were locked onto Bardock and the others.
Rat-tat-tat!
The machine guns instantly spat fire, a dense hail of bullets sweeping toward Gine and the others like rain.
Bardock let out a cold snort. His figure blurred as he stepped forward like a ghost.
Everyone only saw a blurry phantom flickering in place, moving so fast it was impossible to see clearly.
By the time the dust settled and everyone reacted, Bardock was standing in his original spot, holding a large handful of scalding bullets in his hand.
Bardock slowly opened his hand.
Clink, clank, clatter...
The bullets slid from his palm and fell onto the floor, making a crisp sound, still carrying a faint scent of gunpowder.
Ji Huahua and her parents' eyes widened instantly, as if they had seen a ghost, their eyes twitching wildly.
The dozen men holding guns were also terrified, their jaws nearly hitting the floor as their guns fell to the ground with a clatter.
This guy... actually caught all the bullets with his bare hands?
s this even human?!
Gine looked even more bewildered. Her mouth hung open, and she couldn't speak for a long time.
She hadn't expected this "husband from a past life" to be so incredibly powerful!
Elder Ji rubbed his eyes hard, feeling as if he were in a dream.
These were bullets!
Catching bullets with bare hands... wasn't this a bit too far-fetched?
Shua!
Bardock abruptly waved his hand, and invisible waves of energy instantly enveloped the dozen or so armed men.
Thud! Thud!
The dozen men didn't even have time to let out a scream before they fell to the floor, dead on the spot.
This time, Ji Huahua and her parents were completely terrified. Their faces were pale to the extreme, and their lips trembled so much they couldn't utter a single word.
Dead?
All the men they brought... were all killed?
Was this some kind of joke?!
"Courting death!" Bardock let out a cold snort. He narrowed his eyes at Ji Huahua and her parents, the chill in his gaze making them shudder.
Ji Huahua and her parents' faces turned pale and then flushed. Without a moment's hesitation, they fell to their knees with a thud, their knees hitting the floor with a heavy sound.
"Hahaha, that was just a joke just now. I hope you don't mind." Ji Huahua's father hurriedly forced a smile that looked worse than crying, stammering as he tried to laugh it off.
"A joke?" Bardock gave a cold laugh. He took a step forward and grabbed Ji Huahua's father by the neck, lifting him up like a small chick and walking straight to the window. "In that case, I'll play a joke with you too!"
With that, Bardock gave a casual toss—
Whoosh!
Ji Huahua's father was thrown into the high sky like a kite with a broken string, flying thousands of meters up before beginning a free fall. Finally, with a bang, he slammed into the empty ground below, turning into a pile of blurred mush.
Ji Huahua and her mother were scared out of their wits. They clung to each other, trembling so hard the sound of their teeth chattering was clearly audible.
Squeltch!
Bardock stepped forward expressionlessly and thrust his palm directly through Ji Huahua's mother's chest, his blood-stained hand emerging from her back.
Bardock would show no mercy to those who bullied Gine.
"Ah... ahhh... ah..." Ji Huahua's mother let out a few weak screams, her eyes wide and round, and she soon fell silent.
"Mom!" Ji Huahua screamed hysterically, her voice piercing.
Bardock flicked his hand, tossing the mother's body out the window, and then raised his hand to fire a Ki Blast.
Bang!
The body instantly exploded in mid-air, turning into a cloud of blood mist that dissipated into the air.
Ji Huahua's face turned red and then white from terror. She shook even more violently, her clothes completely soaked with cold sweat.
"Now you're the only one left again," Bardock said coldly, approaching her step by step. Each footfall felt like it was treading directly on Ji Huahua's heart.
Ji Huahua fell to her knees again, incessantly kowtowing and begging for mercy, her forehead quickly becoming bloodied. "Spare me... please spare my life..."
"Are there any more reinforcements?" Bardock asked with a cold face, his eyes devoid of any warmth.
Ji Huahua shook her head vigorously, her eyes filled with despair—everyone she had brought was already dead.
"Then you can go die!" The murderous intent in Bardock's eyes flashed.
"Sister, save me!" Ji Huahua cried out desperately to Gine. "I'd rather be your dog from now on... I'm still young, I really don't want to die yet!"
Gine closed her eyes and turned away, her face showing no emotion.
"Grandpa... please plead for me! I know I was wrong!" Ji Huahua turned to Elder Ji, her voice carrying her final plea.
"Hmph, it's useless to beg him," Bardock said with a cold laugh, cutting her off.
Elder Ji: "..."
The old man opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing.
This granddaughter had truly disappointed him too much.
Bardock stepped forward, grabbed Ji Huahua by the neck, and walked to the window as if picking up a piece of trash.
"Go be a satellite for this planet," Bardock said with a light smile, then gave a sudden, powerful toss.
Whoosh!
Ji Huahua's body was like an arrow from a bow, instantly piercing through the atmosphere and flying straight into orbit, becoming a "human satellite" for Earth.
Gine stared blankly at everything Bardock had done for her, her heart filled with shock.
My husband from a past life... is actually this powerful?
"It's over, Gine," Videl walked to her side and comforted her softly, gently patting her shoulder.
"Mm..." Gine took a deep breath, suppressing the terrifying waves in her heart. She turned to look at Bardock and said softly with a hint of gratitude, "Thank you."
Bardock gave a slight wave of his hand, his gaze softening considerably.
As they were speaking—
Whoosh!
Son Gohan quickly flew back through the window and landed steadily beside Gine, handing a small medicine bottle to Bardock.
However, Son Gohan's brow furrowed as soon as he landed.
Why were there so many dead people lying in the room?
What exactly happened after I left?
But Son Gohan didn't ask much, nor did he let any misplaced compassion get the better of him.
"How many should she take?" Bardock looked at the medicine in the small bottle and looked up to ask.
"Two will do," Son Gohan replied.
Bardock poured out two tablets of the special medicine, then turned to the water dispenser nearby to get a cup of warm water, thoughtfully handing it to Gine. "Here, take your medicine."
"Will just these two pills cure viral heart disease?" Gine looked at the tablets in her palm, finding it truly a bit magical.
They looked no different from ordinary tablets.
"Don't let the fact that these two pills look ordinary fool you," Son Gohan said with a smile. "This is special medicine brought back from twenty years in the future."
"Twenty years in the future?" Gine was taken aback and blinked, not quite understanding.
"Gohan, you mentioned things from twenty years later before. What exactly is that about?" Bardock was also curious and asked.
"Ah... it's Uncle Vegeta's son, Trunks. He came to our era from twenty years in the future and brought this special medicine for viral heart disease, which cured Dad's illness," Son Gohan explained simply.
"Traveling through time?" Bardock raised an eyebrow, a flash of surprise in his eyes.
"It's a Time Machine built by Aunt Bulma. Trunks came to our era using that Time Machine," Son Gohan answered.
"A Time Machine? There's actually such a thing." Gine truly felt her horizons were being broadened, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Yes..." Son Gohan nodded.
Gine said no more. She took the water cup, swallowed the two pills, and took a sip of water to wash them down.
Not long after taking the medicine, Gine's consciousness suddenly became blurred. Her head tilted to the side, and she fell into a deep sleep in her wheelchair.
"Gine..." Seeing this, Elder Ji immediately became anxious and stepped forward.
"It's okay, Elder Ji," Videl quickly comforted him. "Gine has just fallen asleep. She might be a bit tired while the medicine takes effect."
"How long will it take for her to get better?" Elder Ji was still a bit worried and pressed for an answer.
"It took my dad... several days. About four or five days," Son Gohan scratched his head, recalling.
"It's not safe here. I'm taking her away," Bardock thought seriously for a moment and decided to take Gine back to Kakarot's house.
If she stayed here, in case there were any remnants of Ji Huahua's faction that hadn't been cleared out, it would certainly be bad for Gine.
"Go ahead," Elder Ji nodded, not objecting. "I'll take this time to clean up the entire family and then send all the assets to Mr. Satan."
"Um... it would be better to give them directly to me than to my father," Videl said with some embarrassment.
The reason she said this was because Videl had discovered—Gohan's family could really eat!
Sometimes a single meal required enough food for nearly 200 people.
After all, Goku, Gohan, and Son Goten were all Saiyans with staggering appetites.
And now there was another grandfather...
Fortunately, Gine was a human.
If five Saiyans were eating together, how much food would have to be prepared to be enough?
Videl felt that the money her father had given before would probably be used up before long.
"Hahaha, no problem." Elder Ji laughed heartily and readily agreed.
To Elder Ji, it didn't matter who the inheritance was left to, as long as Gine could get better.
Afterward, Bardock carefully picked up the sleeping Gine, along with her wheelchair, and flew out the window, carrying her straight into the sky.
"Elder Ji, we should be going too. Let us take care of Gine," Videl also flew into the sky, waving goodbye to Elder Ji.
Son Gohan also waved and followed closely behind.
Bardock and the others left Satan City and soon returned to their home on Mount Paozu.
As soon as they arrived home, Bardock immediately carried Gine and gently placed her on the bed, his movements as tender as if he were handling a rare treasure.
Chi-Chi had thoughtfully prepared an empty room for Bardock and Gine long ago. The room was clean and tidy, with a pot of fresh flowers.
Bardock sat by the bed, gently stroking Gine's hair with a look of tenderness.
Gine slept very soundly, her breathing even, and her complexion seemed a bit ruddier than before.
Seeing that Gine's condition was improving, the heart that had been hanging in Bardock's chest finally settled. He stood up, gently closed the door, and went outside.
"Gohan, you should take two tablets of the special medicine too," Bardock poured two pills from the bottle and handed them to Son Gohan.
"Huh? I should be fine, right?" Son Gohan's mouth twitched slightly, looking a bit surprised.
