Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: Super Saiyan 5

"Ah... well... I was just kidding..." Gohan said, looking guilty as he scratched his head, not knowing how to explain himself.

"Are we taking this home?" Videl asked, changing the subject, her cheeks flushed a deep crimson.

"Yeah, the Flying Nimbus! Let's go!" Gohan patted the cloud gently.

Whoosh!

The Nimbus suddenly accelerated and pulled a sharp turn in mid-air.

Thud!

Caught off guard, Videl tumbled straight into Gohan's arms.

Gohan: "..."

Nimbus, I swear you did that on purpose.

Videl's face turned even redder, her shyness intensifying as her breathing quickened.

"Nimbus, slow down! It's Videl's first time riding; she can't handle your roughhousing," Gohan quickly scolded the cloud.

Only then did the Flying Nimbus gradually slow its pace.

Back in the day, I witnessed the story between your father and mother.

Now, I'm helping another couple come together.

Without me, the Flying Nimbus, could this family line even continue?

Whoosh!

Carrying Gohan and Videl, the Nimbus streaked toward Mount Paozu.

"By the way, Gohan... you're the Golden Warrior, aren't you?" Videl asked.

"The Golden Warrior?" Gohan blinked.

"I heard a new justice-bringer appeared in Satan City—a man with golden hair that stands straight up," Videl explained.

"That... yeah, that was me," Gohan admitted without denial.

"But didn't you turn silver-haired before? You can turn gold too?" Videl asked, curious.

"I can," Gohan nodded. "The gold hair is the most basic transformation."

"Which is stronger, the gold or the silver?" Videl grew even more inquisitive.

"The silver is stronger... it's currently my most powerful form," Gohan answered truthfully. "I call it the Beast Form."

"Beast Form? That's a unique name," Videl muttered, wiping away a bit of sweat.

For such a cool transformation, you gave it such a strange name.

"Because after I transform, I feel like there's a wild beast surging within me, so that's why I chose it," Gohan explained.

"But Gohan, why hide your identity? Why not just go public like my dad did? Tell everyone you're the one who defeated Cell and saved the world," Videl asked, somewhat puzzled. "You and your father could have so much more fame and fortune!"

"Well... my dad and I just prefer a quiet, ordinary life. We don't like being bothered," Gohan replied with a glance back and a smile. "But if I see evil happening, I obviously can't just sit by and watch!"

"In that case, don't you think you should change your look?" Videl had a sudden inspiration.

"Change it?" Gohan was taken aback.

"I mean, right now, only your hair and eyebrow color change. It's too easy for people to recognize you," Videl suggested with a smile. "Why not go for a total image overhaul? Like a brand-new outfit or something... it's just an idea, though. It's up to you."

"Videl, that's a brilliant idea!" Gohan's eyes lit up, suddenly full of excitement.

"Wait, you're not actually going to do it, are you?" Videl broke into a sweat. "I was really just talking; please don't take it seriously."

"I'm taking you to see someone," Gohan laughed. He immediately steered the Nimbus in a new direction, heading toward the headquarters of Capsule Corporation.

"Where are we going?" Videl asked, confused.

"Capsule Corp Headquarters," Gohan replied.

"Capsule Corporation? Isn't that the biggest company in the world? They're the richest family on the planet!" Videl was stunned. "You know the scientists there?"

"I do," Gohan nodded.

"You want their scientists to help you make a transformation suit, don't you?" Videl realized.

"Exactly," Gohan grinned.

Capsule Corporation Headquarters.

When Gohan landed with Videl directly at Bulma's home, Videl was momentarily speechless.

You said you knew the scientists at Capsule Corp.

You didn't say you were on a first-name basis with the heiress!

Moreover, Bulma seemed incredibly familiar with Gohan.

What exactly is their relationship?

Of course, Videl didn't think there was anything romantic between them, given the age gap.

Gohan definitely wasn't the "pretty boy" type who looked for a sugar mama.

If he wanted wealth, he could have had it long ago just by claiming credit for defeating Cell.

"Gohan, is this your girlfriend?" Bulma asked, looking Videl up and down with a smile.

"Uh... yes, she is," Gohan nodded, not denying it.

Since Videl is my future wife, calling her my girlfriend now isn't exactly a lie.

Videl's face turned bright red instantly.

You haven't even confessed to me yet, Gohan...

When did I agree to be your girlfriend?

Videl was flustered, but she didn't object, which was essentially a silent admission.

"Hehe, look at her blush," Bulma giggled.

"This is Videl, my high school classmate," Gohan explained.

"I see," Bulma nodded. "Did you bring your girlfriend all this way just to visit me? By the way, how's your father doing lately?"

"Dad's doing great," Gohan answered, scratching his head. "Actually, I came here to ask if you could make me a transformation suit, Aunt Bulma..."

Gohan proceeded to explain his requirements, with Videl adding her own suggestions from the side.

"Is it possible, Aunt Bulma?" Gohan asked.

"Of course! I'm a genius, after all. I can use the same tech as the capsules—turn the suit into particles so you can wear it whenever you need," Bulma smiled.

"Thank you so much, Aunt Bulma," Gohan said.

"Not being able to stand by while bad guys get away... that's our Gohan, a hero through and through," Bulma said, lighting a cigarette and taking a puff. "Alright, I'll help. It'll take about two hours. Feel free to show your girlfriend around while you wait."

"Will do," Gohan nodded.

As Bulma was leaving, Gohan asked casually, "By the way, where's Trunks?"

"Trunks is in the gravity room undergoing strict training with Vegeta," Bulma replied with a smile.

"Uncle Vegeta?" Gohan blinked.

"Trunks has reached the age for formal training, so Vegeta is teaching him combat techniques," Bulma laughed. "Vegeta wants to train Trunks to be even stronger than you, Gohan."

"Oh... that won't be an easy task, hahaha," Gohan laughed, his expression full of confidence.

His confidence was well-founded. At that moment, a memory flashed through his mind.

It was a memory from the Sacred World of the Kai, from three months ago.

Three months ago.

Sacred World of the Kai.

Gohan and Goku stood facing each other, both in their fighting stances.

The Supreme Kai, Old Kai, and Kibito watched from a distance.

Broly had already grabbed his picnic mat and snacks, making a quick exit.

Don't drag me into your fights every single time.

Just because I lose my mind easily doesn't mean you can pick on me.

Broly moved his food far away before coming back to watch the show.

"Seven years... seven years have passed!" Old Kai sighed deeply.

"Great Ancestor, seven years isn't exactly a long time for us Supreme Kais, is it?" Shin asked, looking at him strangely.

It's just seven years.

You're acting like it's been seventy thousand years.

What's there to be so sentimental about?

Old Kai: "..."

Old Kai ground his teeth in frustration.

This kid... it's a tragedy he's a Supreme Kai.

What a waste of the title.

"Idiot! I mean that since Gohan unlocked his Beast Form, this is the first time father and son are having a formal duel!" Old Kai snapped, rolling his eyes. Still feeling annoyed, he hopped up and gave Shin a headbutt.

Smoke drifted from Shin's head as he groaned in pain.

"Stop talking and watch!" Old Kai barked.

Shin's lip twitched. He was genuinely speechless.

I barely said anything...

Great Ancestor, you just like hitting me...

"Dad, I'm starting!" Gohan shouted. His hair spiked up, turning silver-white as he entered his Beast Form.

"Good!" Goku took a deep breath, energy surging wildly around him.

Boom!

A massive wave of power radiated from Goku.

Snap!

Goku's hair stood tall, turning silver-white in an instant, his entire body enveloped in a brilliant aura.

At this moment, Goku's hair color bore a resemblance to Gohan's, but upon closer inspection, it was different.

Goku's hair was a pure silver-white.

Gohan's hair, however, had a slight bluish tint. It wasn't actually blue, but the blue light radiating from his body made it appear that way.

Relatively speaking, Gohan's hair color was darker than Goku's.

Both of their energies were staggering.

Broly watched them, his expression becoming solemn.

"Come on, Gohan!" Goku beckoned.

"Right, Dad!" Gohan nodded and charged toward Goku without hesitation.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The two clashed fiercely in the Sacred World of the Kai, the sounds of their blows echoing like thunder.

For a time, they were perfectly matched, neither able to gain the upper hand.

Pow!

Goku and Gohan traded another punch, both of them wearing smiles.

"Not bad, Gohan! Your Beast Form really is on par with my Super Saiyan 5!" Goku laughed.

Gohan gave a bashful smile.

The two leaped back, creating some distance.

"Dad, you're not holding back, are you?" Gohan felt something was off and asked.

"No..." Goku scratched his head. "I've already used Super Saiyan 5. I can't turn into Super Saiyan 6... it feels like Super Saiyan 5 is the absolute limit."

"Really?" Gohan was half-skeptical.

"Would your dad lie to you?" Goku smiled.

After a brief exchange, they clashed again.

Two minutes later.

Broly couldn't take it anymore. Watching them was making him itch for a fight. A dark green aura erupted from him as he entered his Legendary Super Saiyan form.

Without a word, Broly charged into the fray.

The three-way brawl began.

The Sacred World of the Kai was instantly turned into a chaotic mess.

Old Kai fled in terror.

Shin and Kibito covered their faces.

Initially, while Goku and Gohan were fighting, they had controlled their energy well. Even when they punched the ground, it only left a small crater, causing little damage to the planet.

But with Broly's involvement, the battle spiraled out of control.

"Great Ancestor, we should find another planet to hide on," Shin suggested, catching up to Old Kai.

"Then what are you waiting for?!" Old Kai yelled.

"Right..." Shin's lip twitched as he waved Kibito over.

Kibito nodded in understanding.

"Don't you follow us! Go stabilize the barrier above the Sacred World!" Old Kai ordered, pointing at Kibito.

"The barrier?" Kibito blinked.

"Idiot! Without the barrier, Goku and the others' energy is so strong it'll leak across the universe! Do you want the Sacred World to become a target for everyone?" Old Kai scolded. "Hurry up and stabilize it so their Ki doesn't spread to the outside world!"

"Yes... I'll go right now!" Kibito nodded.

"This should have been done ages ago. What do you two even do all day?" Old Kai was genuinely fuming.

I have to handle everything myself. You're cutting into my manga-reading time!

Old Kai felt a surge of irritation just thinking about it.

Flash!

Shin teleported Old Kai away from the Sacred World.

Kibito ran to stabilize the barrier.

The massive power generated by the three Saiyans didn't reach Earth; it was successfully contained by the barrier.

The three continued their chaotic battle.

Goku and Gohan didn't team up against Broly; it was every man for himself.

They fought for a full hour before finally collapsing onto the ground, gasping for air, having returned to their normal states.

Then, the three of them burst into laughter.

"Nice work, Broly. When did you regain your senses?" Goku asked, turning to him.

"Hehe," Broly gave a shy smile.

"That's incredible!" Goku gave Broly a thumbs-up. "Your power has clearly increased now that you can keep your head!"

Broly scratched his head and nodded.

"Gohan's no slouch either!" Goku looked at his son with pride.

Gohan let out a long sigh of relief.

This battle had been truly exhilarating. It had been a long time since he'd cut loose like that.

The memories faded as Gohan found himself back in the present, looking at Bulma.

He wondered what kind of warrior Vegeta was going to turn Trunks into.

A Super Saiyan Blue?

The problem was, Vegeta's Super Saiyan Blue couldn't even match his father's Super Saiyan 4.

Let alone Super Saiyan 5.

Bulma headed off to her lab to get to work.

Gohan took Videl for a stroll around the Capsule Corp grounds.

"Girlfriend?" Videl was still fixated on those words.

"Ah... well... I thought it would be a hassle to explain, so I just went along with what Aunt Bulma said," Gohan said sheepishly. "If you don't like it, I'll go explain it to them right now."

"Wait! No need to explain," Videl waved it off, her face turning red.

"Gohan, brought your girlfriend over to play, I see."

As they were talking, Dr. Brief walked over from a distance and greeted them with a smile.

Videl: "..."

Do I really look that much like Gohan's girlfriend?

But she felt a warm glow in her heart.

"Ah... yes..." Gohan nodded quickly.

"Y-y-you... are you Dr. Brief?" Videl's pupils shrank as she stared in shock at the ordinary-looking old man.

"Yes, that's me," Dr. Brief nodded.

"I heard you're the one who invented capsules and changed the world. You're incredible... I can't believe I'm seeing you in the flesh," Videl said, deeply moved.

Dr. Brief: "..."

Seeing me in the flesh... is she serious?

"Sorry, that was a slip of the tongue. I meant it's an honor to meet you in person," Videl said, wiping away sweat.

"It's fine, don't worry about it," Dr. Brief laughed heartily. "You two enjoy yourselves."

"We will," Gohan nodded, continuing to lead Videl around.

"As expected of the world's richest family, this place is huge..." Videl marveled. "I thought my house was big, but compared to this, it's not even on the same level."

"They even keep dinosaurs," Gohan said, scratching his head and pointing toward a yard.

"Dinosaurs?" Videl blinked.

Gohan took her to the yard to see.

Several Tyrannosaurus Rexes walked right past them.

Videl turned pale, her soul nearly leaving her body.

Keeping dinosaurs as pets... and T-Rexes at that... are you serious?

Aren't you afraid of being stepped on?

The home of the world's richest family was certainly unique.

"I don't want to look at dinosaurs anymore," Videl's lip twitched as she bit her lip.

"Okay," Gohan nodded and took her elsewhere.

As they passed a room, Trunks walked out of a door.

"Gohan-niichan! When did you get here?" Trunks greeted him excitedly.

Gohan looked at him and saw that Trunks was covered in sweat, a towel draped over his shoulders, clearly having just finished some grueling training.

"I just got here," Gohan smiled. "I heard you started training with your dad?"

"Yeah," Trunks nodded.

Just then, Vegeta stepped out from a distance and gave Gohan a long, hard look.

This kid is getting more mysterious by the second!

I can't even gauge his true strength!

"Ah! Uncle Vegeta! Hello, I hope we're not interrupting?" Gohan greeted him awkwardly.

Videl tensed up, leaning closer to Gohan, her face full of dread.

I remember this guy!

Back then, he was beaten half to death by that guy with the dark green hair.

Those screams... they were haunting.

I hope he doesn't recognize me.

If he finds out I was watching back then, will he kill me to keep me quiet?

Vegeta did indeed glance in Videl's direction.

"Ah... this is my classmate, Videl," Gohan quickly introduced her.

Videl: "..."

Don't say my name, Gohan!

He's going to silence me!

In truth, Videl was overthinking it. Even if Vegeta recognized her, he wouldn't kill her.

"Is that fellow Kakarot still training in the Sacred World of the Kai?" Vegeta asked impassively.

"Y-yeah..." Gohan nodded.

Vegeta said nothing more and turned to leave.

Two hours passed quickly.

Bulma finally finished the transformation devices.

She handed two watches to Gohan and Videl.

"I... I get one too?" Videl asked, surprised.

"They're matching couple's outfits," Bulma giggled.

Gohan: "..."

Videl's face flushed once again.

Couple's outfits? Is she serious?

Still, Videl was grateful and quickly put the watch on.

"I just have to press this red button?" Gohan asked.

"That's right," Bulma nodded.

Click!

Gohan and Videl pressed the red buttons on their watches simultaneously.

Flash!

Both were suddenly clad in brand-new outfits.

Their clothes were a combination of red and green.

Gohan had a green suit with a red cape and a primarily red helmet.

Videl had a red suit with a green cape and a primarily green helmet.

Videl looked in the mirror, sweat beading on her forehead.

You just swapped the colors... and you call this a couple's outfit?

The problem is, this color combination is a total disaster.

Don't you know that red and green together are a fashion nightmare?

"Ah... we look pretty heroic, don't we, Videl?" Gohan laughed, quite satisfied with his new look.

"Y-yeah..." Videl nodded weakly out of politeness.

"It's getting late; we should head back," Gohan told Bulma.

"We have plenty of spare rooms; why don't you two stay the night?" Bulma suggested with a grin. "Besides, those rooms over there have plenty of 'supplementary equipment'."

"Supplementary equipment?" Gohan blinked, not quite understanding.

"Have you heard of it, Videl?" Bulma asked.

Videl looked equally lost, having never heard of such a thing, and shook her head.

"We won't be staying," Videl answered hurriedly, feeling flustered.

"We need to get home early. Goodbye, Aunt Bulma!" Gohan called the Flying Nimbus and flew off with Videl in his arms.
