CHAPTER TWENTY NINE — Predatory Calculus
Leylin hovered above the shattered crater, motionless.
Below him, the land had become a wound..stone liquefied, trenches carved by shockwaves, the air still trembling from impacts that had stopped minutes ago but refused to fade. Dust drifted like ash from a burned world.
Seven figures stood around the devastation.
Seven Seat Holders.
They did not rush him this time.
They watched.
Measured.Waited.The Gravity Leader stepped forward first ..a towering mass of condensed force wrapped in human shape, the air bending around his shoulders as if kneeling.
His voice rolled across the battlefield, deep and sonorous, like mountains grinding together.
"Little thing… you thought yourself powerful."
A pause.
"But at the end of the day, a Foundation Establishment expert is still a Foundation Establishment expert."
His eyes gleamed with cruel certainty.
"Give up the Pride and Gluttony Cores… and perhaps I might grant you a painless death."
Leylin said nothing.
Three of his nine pupils aligned, focusing on the man's face.
Not with anger. Not with hatred. With recognition.
As if trying to remember where he had seen him before.
The silence stretched.
Something cold crawled up the Gravity Leader's spine.
He crushed it instantly with willpower, jaw tightening.
Paranoia. It had to be.But inside Leylin's mind.something else entirely was happening.

[ Analyzing Hostile Entities… ]
Name: Gaviel Dremor
Race: Human
Law: Gravity
Realm: Domain Expansion — Middle Stage
Age: 269
Threat Level: Moderate → High
Weakness Identified:
-- Domain drag requires anchor point
— Momentary vulnerability during vector inversion
— Excessive mass concentration reduces reaction speed
Countermeasures Established.
The information vanished.Replaced instantly by another. Then another.
Seven profiles unfolded in silence.
No one on the battlefield knew they were being dissected alive.Cataloged.Judged.
Trajectory simulations mapped across Leylin's vision.Angles of attack.Probabilities of survival.Optimal kill order.Sin Core acquisition routes.Environmental weaponization.All calculated in fractions of a heartbeat.Cold.Predatory.Absolute.
---
Objective: Eliminate Seat Holders
Secondary Objective: Secure Remaining Sin Cores
Foundation Stabilization Priority: Critical
---
Leylin's thoughts brushed the presence in his mind.
Proceed.
[Understood]:.Initializing adaptation…
Form correction complete.A subtle shift ran through his body.Barely visible.
The dark scales beneath his skin rearranged, sliding microscopically into new patterns. His breathing slowed, syncing to the rhythm of the battlefield ... to wind currents, gravitational pull, heartbeats of enemies.
He was tuning himself.Optimizing.Becoming something built for this exact fight. The Time Leader's eyes narrowed...He saw it.
"Don't let him'!!
He moved. So did the other six.The sky detonated.Leylin vanished as the Time Leader's blade split the air where he had been, carving a scar through space that lingered like a wound in reality.Gravity crushed downward.
Lightning split sideways.Sound ruptured the air into killing waves.Steel tore upward from the earth.Flame swallowed the horizon.
Seven Domains collided in a storm of laws.Leylin met them head-on.No teaching. No speeches.Only violence.
He caught the Gravity Leader's descending fist with both hands .. the impact flattening a mountain range behind him .. then twisted, redirecting the force sideways into the Lightning Leader, sending both crashing across the continent in a chain of sonic booms.
The Time Leader appeared behind him.A holy blade descended.
Leylin leaned just enough for it to carve through his shoulder instead of his neck, then slammed his head backward into the man's face with a crack that shattered the surrounding sky. They vanished again.Reappeared miles away.Clashed.Disappeared.
Each collision rewrote the terrain.Oceans lifted.Forests vaporized.Mountains collapsed into dust.Mira could no longer tell where the battlefield ended.
Only where Leylin was. Then,a flicker of miscalculation.A half-step too slow. The Frost Leader descended from above, leg coated in absolute zero, aimed at his spine once more.
Victory flashed in her eyes.At the last instant..Leylin smiled. Her instincts screamed.Too late. His hand snapped backward and caught her ankle mid-strike.The sound wasn't bone breaking. It was something worse. Her momentum stopped.Completely.
As if she had kicked into a wall made of existence itself.Leylin turned his head slowly.Met her eyes.Smirked.Then he yanked. Her leg tore free from her body in a spray of frozen blood and shattered armor.
Before her mind could even process the loss..he swung the severed limb downward like a weapon. It crushed her skull. Her body collapsed. He was already moving. His hand plunged through her chest, ripping free a heart that glowed with domain authority — a crystalline core of frost and law.He devoured it.
Light exploded through his veins.
[ Authority Assimilation Complete ]
Pride Core Saturation: 6% → 28%
Foundation Stabilization: Accelerating
The battlefield went still.Six Seat Holders stared in horror. Not at the brutality. At the efficiency. He hadn't overpowered her.He had solved her.
Leylin exhaled slowly, frost vapor spilling from his lips as new power settled into his body, smoothing cracks in something far deeper than flesh.
He looked up at the remaining leaders.Calm.Almost polite.
"Gentlemen," he said softly, "shall we continue?"Then he leapt.
And the sky broke again.
