Aiden's POV
"Alina, are you okay? You've been in there for a long time," but I didn't get a response. Then, just as I was about to open the door, it opened and Alina came out.
She froze when she saw me, her eyes wide with shock. "Aiden, what are you doing here?"
The heavy panic in my chest melted away. I gave her a warm, relieved smile. "You were gone for so long. I was really worried about you."
She crosses her arms, her tone completely sharp as she says, "You don't need to worry about me, okay, I can take care of myself."
"I know," I say, but before I can finish my sentence, my ears twitch. I catch a faint, shuffling sound coming from inside the restroom behind her. My Alpha instincts instantly spike, my eyes narrowing past her shoulder. "Is someone there?"
"Yes," she says rapidly, shifting her weight to block my line of sight entirely. "Two other girls are in there and it will be weird if they see you standing outside a female restroom so we should go."
