Chapter 41 - Wait Here. I’m Going to Kill.

Itachi exhaled slowly.

He bowed his head toward Shuoye Uchiha and spoke with conviction.

"I understand, Clan Head."

A faint smile touched Shuoye's lips.

He could see it clearly—his words had reached Itachi's core. The doubt had faded. The hesitation had broken.

"Good," Shuoye said quietly. "You've returned to the right path."

Danzō Shimura scoffed.

"So this is the Uchiha's answer?" His gaze sharpened. "Openly challenging the authority of the Hidden Leaf? Are you trying to start a war?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression tightened. He knew Danzō's temperament well—and he knew even more clearly how dangerous internal division would be.

"Shuoye," Hiruzen said carefully, "this is difficult to understand. We are only trying to protect the village's peace and stability."

Shuoye's eyes swept across everyone present.

"If refusing to compromise is considered provoking war," he said calmly, "then I'll accept that accusation."

"But understand this—true peace is never built on sacrifice and submission."

The air changed.

A pressure rolled outward from Shuoye—not loud, not explosive—but heavy. Suffocating.

Only now did many of them truly understand.

This was no longer a young Uchiha rising.

This was a force.

"Ridiculous!"

Danzō moved.

Without warning, he blurred forward in a dark streak, lunging straight toward Itachi.

His speed was ruthless.

But before he could reach his target—

A blue figure materialized between them.

Shisui Uchiha.

"Danzō-sama," Shisui said evenly, "you've crossed the line."

His tone was calm.

His eyes were not.

Shock rippled through the courtyard.

"Shisui?" Hiruzen blurted. "Why are you here?"

Shisui had never truly left the village.

He had remained in the shadows, watching.

Listening.

He had witnessed the contradictions. The hypocrisy. The quiet calculations made in the name of the "Will of Fire."

Was this truly what he once believed in?

Now he stood before Itachi like an immovable wall.

Danzō's face darkened.

He had not expected resistance—least of all from Shisui.

Hiruzen stepped forward quickly.

"Shuoye—what exactly are you planning? The peace of the Hidden Leaf is not a toy."

Shuoye did not answer immediately.

Instead, his gaze shifted to the silent members of the Hyūga clan.

He gave them a small nod.

"Have I not said it before? The Uchiha and the Hyūga are steadfast allies. When hardship comes, allies help one another."

His words were simple.

Firm.

The Hyūga representatives exchanged glances. Surprise flickered across their faces—but so did something else.

Understanding.

"Shisui," Shuoye said.

"Stay here. Watch them."

The order carried no room for debate.

Then—

He vanished.

Only a faint echo lingered in the courtyard.

"Wait here."

"I'm going to kill."

The words fell like ice into boiling water.

Hiruzen's pupils contracted.

The air froze.

"Shuoye!"

Hiruzen's face went ashen. Several shinobi rushed forward instinctively—

Only to be blocked.

Uchiha clan members had already formed a barrier.

Shisui stood at the front, eyes sharp.

A warning.

Move—and there would be consequences.

The Hyūga remained silent.

They neither advanced nor retreated.

The tension became suffocating.

Far away, in the Hidden Cloud's quarters—

Their leader was in high spirits.

The Hyūga had conceded.

The Hidden Leaf was wavering.

Even the Uchiha, in his mind, were only a matter of time.

He imagined Sharingan within reach.

Power.

Prestige.

"See?" he sneered. "The Hidden Leaf is nothing special. The Uchiha? What can they do? The Sharingan will soon be ours."

The laughter in the room was short-lived.

Footsteps pounded down the corridor.

A shinobi burst through the door, pale and breathless.

"Sir! Something's wrong! At the entrance—Uchiha Shuoye is here!"

The leader's smile vanished.

He stood abruptly and strode toward the entrance.

Then he saw it.

Bodies.

His shinobi lay scattered across the ground.

Blood soaked into the earth.

The metallic scent filled the air.

And in the middle of it all—

Shuoye Uchiha stood.

His robe stirred though no wind blew.

His eyes were cold.

Sharp.

"You're insane!" the Hidden Cloud leader roared. "You dare attack us?"

Shuoye tilted his head slightly.

"Insane?"

A faint smile curved his lips.

"Perhaps."

"But I know one thing."

"Anyone who threatens the Hidden Leaf—or the Uchiha—"

"I show no mercy."
