Nami dissuaded Yamato, "The war is over, and we didn't plan to kill them anyway, so let it go..."
The members of the Straw Hat Pirates boarded the bikudopu one after another.
The Polar Tang surfaced from underwater; Law's Heart Pirates had also followed them here.
Because Rett had rescued Robin, the atmosphere between the two sides was originally quite harmonious, but after hearing the Buggy Pirates' destination, Yamato could no longer hold back.
"What... you're going to attack Wano Country?"
"That's right," Buggy admitted openly.
"How could we let you do that? We just took Wano Country back from that villain Kaido!" Yamato was furious.
"You're not even willing to call him 'Father'..."
Truly a display of 'filial piety,' Buggy shook his head and sighed.
"I am Oden, not his daughter. I don't have such a piece of trash for a father," Yamato retorted loudly.
"This foolish look of yours is exactly like Oden's. You're quite good-looking, but it's a pity you're a retard!"
Buggy couldn't understand why Yamato would become such a brainless fan of Kozuki Oden.
"I won't allow you to insult Oden." Yamato finally couldn't take it anymore, and Conqueror's Haki Infusion was applied to the weapon Takeru.
"Thunder Bagua!"
Before Buggy could even make a move, a figure blocked the path in front of him.
"Gomu Gomu no Overlord Kong Gun."
A fist similarly infused with Conqueror's Haki Infusion collided with the Thunder Bagua.
The collision of the two types of Conqueror's Haki Infusion released a momentum that tore through the clouds in the sky.
"Luffy, why are you stopping me?" Yamato asked, confused.
"Because the Buggy Pirates are our friends," Luffy retracted his fist and said calmly. "Sparring between friends is fine, but this behavior of yours has crossed the line, Yamato."
"But he insulted Oden!" Yamato pointed at Buggy. "And they want to invade Wano Country..."
"Buggy, why do you want to invade Wano Country?" Luffy turned and asked.
"First, I need a stable territory. Second, I think Wano Country would be better off ruled by me; those useless members of the Kozuki Clan don't know the first thing about governing a country," Buggy said.
"Then can you make sure the commoners have enough to eat?" Luffy asked.
"Of course. As a ruler, if I can't even manage that, I might as well be dead," Buggy said.
"Then there's no problem." Luffy laughed. "Yamato, Buggy isn't occupying Wano Country to do evil..."
"That's still not okay! Wano Country is the territory of the Kozuki Clan, protected by me, Oden!" Yamato patted her chest. "Besides, aren't Momo and the others your friends, Luffy?"
"Yamato, don't easily question the Captain's decision." Luffy lowered his straw hat, his voice becoming uncharacteristically deep.
"Also, true friends are willing to give up even their lives for each other. Do Momo and the others really count as our friends?"
"Why would you say that..." Yamato felt as if she had been struck by lightning.
"When we set out to sea to rescue Robin, besides you, did a single 'friend' from Wano Country come along?" A smile appeared on Luffy's face, but Yamato felt that this smile was extremely cold.
"That's because..." Yamato stammered.
"'Wano Country has just been pacified, and we cannot provide you with much help, so we can only prepare some wine and food; we are terribly sorry.'" Luffy mimicked someone's tone of voice.
"That fellow Kin'emon's face-changing speed was quite fast, though it seems he was acting under the instructions of Tenguyama Hitetsu." On the Polar Tang, Law spoke about what had happened then. "Who exactly is that guy?"
"Tenguyama Hitetsu is the previous Shogun of Wano Country, Kozuki Sukiyaki," Robin revealed the answer. "He just doesn't have the face to admit it."
"Perhaps when he saw that the one who took me was an Admiral, he didn't want to offend the World Government and plunge Wano Country into a new crisis, so he made such a decision. From the perspective of a national ruler, it's actually quite reasonable."
"I see." Law whistled. "So the previous Shogun of Wano Country is still alive? Did they not know how to resist for all these years, pinning all their hopes on a single prophecy?"
"It's not like that! Oden knew that the person who could defeat Kaido would only appear twenty years later. Before then, no matter how hard they tried, it would be in vain," Yamato retorted loudly.
"Was Kaido twenty years ago really that strong? That idiot Oden's strength was not weak to begin with. Whether he sought help from the Roger Pirates or the Whitebeard Pirates, he could have easily dealt with Kaido," Buggy said disdainfully.
"In the end, he stupidly performed a naked dance for five years, doing nothing in secret. Did he know about those things in advance,e too?"
"Oden just didn't want anyone to get hurt. Kaido had taken many hostages, and by performing the naked dance once, he could save the lives of some hostages..."
"And then he just let even more commoners starve to death?" Buggy sneered. "Did Kaido take more hostages, or did more commoners starve to death over these twenty years?"
"Oden was at least a real man. Carrying the Nine Red Scabbards, he jumped into the boiling oil cauldron and accepted the Legendary Hour execution, trading his own life for the survival of the Nine Red Scabbards." Yamato spoke of the scene etched deep in her heart.
Buggy was somewhat speechless. "That fool sent his weapons away before the battle and fried himself in an oil cauldron for an hour, yet he could still let the Nine Red Scabbards escape. If he hadn't entered the oil cauldron, wouldn't it have been even easier to escape..."
Yamato finally couldn't think of a reason.
"Admit it, that guy Oden was just an irredeemable fool." Buggy asked Luffy, "If you were Oden, what would you have done when you first returned to Wano Country?"
"Fight Kaido, of course," Luffy answered bluntly.
"What if Kaido threatened you with the lives of commoners?"
"Keep fighting, Kaido. People are going to die anyway; I'll just avenge them." Luffy scratched his face with his finger.
"See? Although Luffy is a single-minded idiot, at least he's a normal person," Buggy said.
"Hey, Buggy, even if it's the truth, you don't have to say it out loud in public," Zoro spoke up.
"Isn't this the Straw Hat Pirates' emperor's second-in-command, Oden's sword stand?" Buggy glanced at Enma hanging at Zoro's waist and said in an exaggerated tone, "Is that Oden's Enma? It really is quite terrifying."
"What do you mean by that?" Zoro placed his hand on the hilt of his sword. "Make it clear to me."
"Wasn't I clear enough? Mosshead idiot," Buggy said. "Ever since you traded Shusui for Enma, has anyone even cared about you as a swordsman?"
"Whether it was Kaido or Charlotte Linlin, the first thing they marveled at when they saw you was Oden's sword, Enma. You're just a sword stand..."
"I don't know if you can become the World's Greatest Swordsman, but your title as the World's Number One Sword Stand is already well-deserved."
