Chapter 106:
Gwen Stacy pouted and jumped off the lounge chair. Her pink slippers made a pat-pat-pat sound on the ground.
"Fine, fine! But…"
She suddenly pulled out a small pink device from nowhere.
"This is for you! A cross-universe communicator! I upgraded it — the signal is super stable!"
Yang Jian took the comically shaped little gadget and couldn't help laughing.
"I'll keep in touch."
"You'd better!"
Gwen Stacy put her hands on her hips, her tone exaggerated.
"Otherwise I'll draw a comic and turn you into a villain!"
Yang Jian shook his head, but his eyes were filled with warmth.
This girl was the liveliest one — and honestly, the one who made his heart ache the most.
Behind her carefree exterior hid a heart that desperately wanted to be acknowledged.
She was the audience on the other side of the fourth wall, someone who didn't quite fit in with the superheroes.
And perhaps his appearance had given her a sense of belonging.
He stopped thinking about it, lightly leaped into the air, and floated upward, crossing his arms over his chest.
This was the classic Superman pose he had learned in this universe.
"See you next time."
The next second, Yang Jian's figure instantly vanished into the blue sky.
Gwen Stacy stood on the rooftop, staring in the direction he had disappeared for a moment. Then she suddenly pulled out her phone.
"Hello, Fury! That burger shop robber is dead meat! This lady is in a really bad mood today!"
Meanwhile, high above New York.
Yang Jian floated in the stratosphere. His black cape gently fluttered in the thin atmosphere.
His eyes flickered slightly, then suddenly blazed with brilliant golden light. Super vision spread outward like invisible ripples.
"Let me do one final check," he murmured to himself.
His gaze pierced through the clouds, scanning every inch of the land.
From the medical wing of Avengers Tower, to the vibranium mines of Wakanda.
From the library of the Sanctum Sanctorum, to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret bases.
He saw Jennifer undergoing rehabilitation, Dr. Banner busy in the lab, and even Thor hiding in a bar drinking his sorrows away — he missed nothing.
His magical perception expanded at the same time, like a fine spiderweb covering the globe.
He searched for any abnormal gamma energy fluctuations, even the faintest residue.
Strange.
Yang Jian frowned slightly.
Logically, an existence like OBA should leave traces even after being expelled.
But right now, Earth's gamma radiation levels were completely normal. Even the most sensitive monitoring equipment showed everything was fine.
He also specifically checked all the superheroes.
Every superhero was living their daily lives safely and normally.
It seemed the threat had truly disappeared for the time being.
Yang Jian finally relaxed.
He raised his hand and drew a golden portal in the air. Sparks spun and formed a passage leading back to his original universe.
At the very last moment before stepping through the portal, he turned back to look at the blue planet one more time.
Gwen Stacy was chasing down the burger shop robber on the streets of Manhattan, her pink hair shining brightly in the sunlight.
Captain America was instructing the Avengers on the training field.
Doctor Strange stood on the balcony of the Sanctum Sanctorum. He seemed to sense something, looked up at the sky, and gave a slight nod toward him.
"Take care."
Yang Jian said softly, then stepped into the portal.
The golden sparks slowly closed behind him, and he returned to his own universe.
Meanwhile, deep in the distant Gamma Hell, an existence bound by heavy dimensional shackles let out an unwilling roar.
But this time, its voice could no longer penetrate the barrier of reality.
"Damn OAA!"
......
Meanwhile, aboard the QuinjetPacific airspace
Inside the cabin, Deadpool's fingers twitched more and more noticeably. Finally, he sat up straight with a whoosh, his mask's eye-pieces widening dramatically.
"Holy shit! Damn it!"
He rubbed the back of his head, looking a bit dazed.
"Captain, your shield massage technique is even better than the seats on the New York subway!"
Steve's forehead vein bulged, his fists cracking as he clenched them.
"Wade, I swear, if you say one more word…"
"You'll throw me out?" Deadpool leaned in sleazily.
"But we're already at ten thousand meters! Do you know what song is best for freefall? You should sing Let It Go — because, bang! You really will let it go!"
Tony spat out a mouthful of wine: "Jarvis, record that. That's the most hellish cold joke I've heard this year."
Natasha silently pulled out her taser.
Suddenly, the Quinjet shook violently!
"Sir! Kree energy weapon lock detected." Jarvis's alarm rang through the cabin.
The holographic screen lit up, showing the Kree reconnaissance ship below on the sea surface extending its cannons, charging with dazzling blue light.
"Everyone hold on!" Hawkeye shouted.
The next second, the energy cannon howled toward them! The Quinjet rolled urgently to evade. Deadpool was flung like a rag doll and slammed into the cabin wall with a slap, sticking to it in a starfish shape.
"So much fun!"
Deadpool cheered amid the impact.
"This is way more exciting than Six Flags!"
Steve gripped the handrail tightly and roared toward the cockpit:
"Didn't Hill say this reconnaissance ship had no weapons?!"
Tony was already fully armored, his faceplate snapping shut: "Clearly the Kree recently upgraded their membership package."
Another energy cannon grazed the wing. The jet's alarm blared.
Natasha quickly fastened her parachute.
"Prepare for emergency landing. We're jumping!"
"Jumping?"
Deadpool did a kip-up and bounced to the hatch.
"Finally time for my signature move!"
He somehow pulled out a little notebook and began muttering to himself.
"Notes: 1. Don't forget to open the parachute. 2. If you forget, remember to strike a cool pose on landing. 3. If landing fails…"
"No one needs your notes!" Steve laughed in exasperation and grabbed him by the collar, dragging him toward the hatch.
The moment the hatch opened, violent airflow rushed in.
Below, on the deck of the Kree reconnaissance ship, dozens of fully armed blue-skinned warriors stood ready.
Tony raised his right hand. His repulsor was already fully charged.
"I'll go down first to warm things up."
With that, he fell backward, shifting posture in mid-air.
Hawkeye and Natasha followed closely, both diving toward the enemy formation.
Only Steve and Deadpool remained at the hatch.
"Listen, Wade."
The Captain glared at Deadpool through gritted teeth. "For this mission, you'd better…"
"Yes, Captain!"
Deadpool suddenly gave a perfect military salute, then leaped straight out.
"Deadpool is here!" His scream cut through the sky.
Steve froze for a second, then exploded in rage: "That bastard didn't even bring a parachute!!!"
But it was too late.
Deadpool fell like a red cannonball, smashing into the Kree ship's gun turret with a boom, sending parts flying everywhere.
In the smoke and dust, he staggered to his feet and patted the dust off his suit.
"Landing score: 9.8! Deducting 0.2 points because I crushed my favorite takeout!"
The Kree warriors on the deck were collectively stunned.
In the distance, Tony, who had just landed, facepalmed speechlessly.
"I suddenly miss Hulk."
