Chapter 103:
"Jennifer! Don't move!"
Yang Jian reacted instantly and flashed to her side, but it was already too late.
She-Hulk's body suddenly stiffened. Her eyes no longer hid anything and erupted with blinding green light.
Her muscles swelled uncontrollably. Her skin gradually turned into an even more eerie dark green. The energy flowing through her veins caused the surrounding air to begin ionizing.
"Superman!"
Her voice became a multi-layered resonance, as if countless voices were speaking at the same time.
"This time, you can't stop it."
Yang Jian was stunned. He remembered.
This familiar feeling was the same as the one inside Hulk!
The heroes on the beach instantly entered combat readiness.
Thor summoned lightning. Black Panther extended his claws. Carol's entire body glowed with golden light. Even Gwen Stacy pulled out her cartoon-styled laser gun.
"Everyone, stand back!"
Yang Jian rose into the air. His battle armor instantly covered him.
"This isn't Jennifer!"
She-Hulk's body continued to mutate. Sharp bone spikes protruded from her back. The green energy flames from her eyes grew even fiercer.
She threw her head back and let out a roar that didn't sound human. The shockwave directly snapped the coconut trees on the island in half.
"Finally found the perfect vessel."
The existence from the Gamma Hell let out a sinister laugh through Jennifer's mouth.
"This time, I will use your corpse to toll the death knell for this universe!"
Before the words finished, Yang Jian had already turned into a blur and charged forward. His fist, carrying a sonic boom, slammed heavily into She-Hulk's abdomen.
BOOM!!!
Accompanied by a deafening explosion, She-Hulk's massive body flew backward like a cannonball.
It carved a trench hundreds of meters long across the sea surface and finally crashed into the distant reef cluster.
The shockwave spread in a ring. Trees were snapped in half wherever it passed. The ground cracked with huge fissures. Hundred-meter-high waves erupted on the sea!
The entire island shook violently.
The beach fell into dead silence. All the heroes stared at the scene in shock.
"Good grief, was he just playing house with us earlier?"
"If that punch had hit me…"
"So he was holding back the whole time?!"
Captain America was the first to recover: "What exactly happened? How did Jennifer turn into that?"
"I've never seen She-Hulk in that form." Black Panther stared warily at the sea.
Thor gripped his hammer tightly: "The energy inside her is wrong."
Yang Jian floated in mid-air. The red light in his eyes slowly faded.
"Jennifer has been possessed by an existence from the Gamma Hell. It's the same source of energy as the one inside Banner before."
He didn't tell them that the existence was OBA — a supreme being on the same level as OAA, but restricted by rules and unable to descend directly.
The sea surface suddenly exploded with a giant wave. She-Hulk, wrapped in green energy, shot into the sky.
Her size had grown even larger than before. Sharp bone spikes protruded from her back. The green flames in her eyes burned even more fiercely.
"Useless!"
Her voice had become completely inhuman. "This body will keep evolving! I will keep fighting you! Until I achieve complete victory…"
Yang Jian didn't wait for her to finish. He charged again.
This time his movements were even faster. The crowd only saw continuous bursts of energy shockwaves in the air — they couldn't even see the afterimages.
Every collision between them triggered small tsunamis. The entire sea area churned as if it were boiling.
"We have to do something!" Spider-Man shouted anxiously.
"No."
Black Panther suddenly grabbed him and shook his head.
"At this level of battle, we can't intervene."
While the crowd was busy, a blinding light suddenly erupted from the center of the battlefield.
When the strong light faded, Yang Jian was seen with one hand gripping She-Hulk's throat and the other pressed against her forehead.
Golden energy formed a complex light circle that enveloped the two of them.
"Get out." Yang Jian's voice was cold.
She-Hulk's body convulsed violently. A twisted green energy was forcibly expelled from her body.
That energy coalesced into a blurry giant face in the air and let out an unwilling roar. "This isn't over! Superman!"
As the last trace of energy dissipated, Jennifer's size rapidly returned to normal. She fell powerlessly toward the sea surface.
Yang Jian caught her and gently brought her back to the beach.
If it had been the true body descending, Yang Jian naturally wouldn't have been able to handle it. But right now it was only a host that hadn't even exerted its normal strength.
So, using magic to expel it was still quite simple.
"Is… is it over?" Gwen Stacy asked carefully.
Yang Jian handed the unconscious Jennifer to the Avengers. Then he looked toward the gradually calming sea.
"Only temporarily."
He didn't tell the others about OBA's existence.
OBA — the ruler of the Gamma Hell, a supreme being of the same origin as OAA but opposed to it.
This battle might just be the prelude to a greater storm.
As the sunset gradually sank below the sea horizon, the atmosphere on the beach became heavy.
Captain America supported the just-awakened, still slightly weak Jennifer and said in a deep voice,
"We need to take her back to Avengers Base for a full check-up immediately."
Tony had already changed into his portable armor. His voice behind the mask carried rare seriousness.
"Jarvis has the medical pod ready, but we need to figure out if there's any gamma energy residue left in her body."
Thor carried his hammer and frowned as he looked at the now-calm sea.
"Was that monster really completely driven out?"
"No need to worry for now."
Yang Jian put away the sharpness he had during battle, his tone calm.
"The rules of the Gamma Hell will bind it for a long time. However…"
He looked at Jennifer. "I suggest you closely monitor her gamma radiation levels."
Gwen Stacy bounced over, still wearing that ridiculous swimsuit, but her tone was unusually serious.
"The party's over! Remember to invite me to the next team-building event!"
She suddenly produced a stack of business cards like magic and handed them out to everyone.
"There's my new TikTok account on it. Remember to follow!"
Black Panther took the card, his mouth twitching slightly: "You're still thinking about gaining followers in this situation."
"Life must go on!"
Gwen Stacy turned to Yang Jian with a cheeky smile. "Right, dear?"
Yang Jian had already drawn a portal for them. Golden sparks stood out brightly in the twilight.
Captain America looked at Yang Jian and nodded.
"Everyone, prepare to return."
Just as the Avengers were filing through the portal one by one, Jennifer suddenly turned back.
"Yang Jian, thank you."
She said weakly but sincerely, "If it weren't for you…"
Yang Jian simply nodded lightly: "Rest well."
Captain America, the last to leave, paused in front of the portal.
"If that existence appears again, what should we do?"
"We'll deal with it when the time comes." Yang Jian made no promises — that wasn't his style.
As the portal closed, only Yang Jian and Gwen Stacy remained on the beach.
The waves gently lapped the shore, as if the earth-shaking battle from moments ago had never happened.
"So…"
Gwen Stacy kicked at the sand. "What do we do now? Clean up the beach balls?"
Yang Jian looked at the gradually rising moon and suddenly asked,
"That TikTok account you mentioned earlier — do you really want to become an internet celebrity?"
"Of course!"
Gwen Stacy's eyes lit up. "I've even thought of the content for the first video."
"Ten Wrong Ways Superheroes Wear Their Costumes!" What do you think?"
Yang Jian couldn't help laughing and ruffled her messy pink hair.
"Come on, I'll treat you to ice cream."
"Yay! I want strawberry and chocolate double scoop!"
The two figures gradually disappeared into the moonlit beach, leaving behind a row of paired footprints.
This adventure had finally come to an end.
