"Lord Sesshomaru!"

Jaken's shrill cry pierced through the battlefield as he stumbled toward the smoking crater. The ground was cracked and scorched. Dust swirled in thick clouds, and the smell of burned earth filled the air. His tiny body shook as he searched desperately for Sesshomaru within the smoke.

Suddenly—

"ROAR——!"

A terrifying roar exploded from within the crater. A violent gust of wind burst outward, blasting away the smoke and sending Jaken tumbling helplessly across the ground.

As the dust slowly settled, a massive white giant dog rose from the crater. His silver fur was stained with blood and dirt, but his presence was still overwhelming. His enormous blood-red eyes burned with fury as they locked onto Uchiha Lie. The air around him trembled with violent demonic energy.

Sesshomaru had completely lost his composure.

Uchiha Lie stood calmly, arms relaxed at his sides, his expression indifferent.

"So," he said with a faint smirk, "when you can't win, you turn into a dog? Do you enjoy biting people that much?"

The words were like oil poured onto raging flames.

Sesshomaru threw his head back and let out another earth-shaking howl. Then he lunged forward, jaws wide, fangs gleaming under the moonlight as he aimed directly for Uchiha Lie.

In this world of demons, strength worked in a strange way. Although demons could increase their raw power by returning to their true forms, their speed and agility often decreased due to their massive size.

A giant body meant greater strength—but also a bigger target.

Sesshomaru's transformation was not a sign of dominance. It was a sign of desperation.

Uchiha Lie's eyes glowed faintly. Pale blue Chakra erupted from his body.

The skeletal frame of Susanoo appeared instantly, towering over ten meters tall. Muscles and armor rapidly formed around the bones, and finally a set of dark crow tengu armor covered the giant warrior. The ground trembled beneath its weight.

A half-bodied armored god stood upon the battlefield.

Sesshomaru leaped high into the air, jaws snapping toward Susanoo's neck. But compared to Susanoo's massive frame, the bite seemed almost meaningless.

"Heh," Uchiha Lie sneered. "You've completely lost your mind."

Before Sesshomaru could react—

BOOM!

Susanoo's enormous fist smashed down onto his head.

The impact echoed like thunder. Sesshomaru's giant body staggered violently and collapsed sideways.

Before he could hit the ground, Susanoo's hand grabbed his neck and slammed him hard into the earth. The land shattered beneath the force.

Immediately after, a massive Chakra blade formed in Susanoo's hand and pierced through Sesshomaru's body, pinning him to the ground.

Blood splattered across the battlefield.

"How does it feel?" Uchiha Lie's voice was cold and mocking. "When you were bullying that half-demon and those humans, did you think you were impressive?"

Another punch crashed down.

"Did you think you were invincible?"

Another punch.

"All you know is how to bully the weak—your own brother included. And you dare look down on humans?"

Each word was followed by another devastating strike. Wind exploded outward with every blow.

Sesshomaru's struggles grew weaker.

"You despise your brother for being half human," Uchiha Lie continued, his tone growing colder. "Yet you let yourself be manipulated by another half-demon, chasing after your own brother like a fool."

Blood flowed from the corner of Sesshomaru's mouth.

"Is that half-demon your father? Have you already accepted him?"

Another crushing blow landed.

"Does your proud mother know about this?"

With each sentence, Susanoo's fist descended mercilessly.

Finally—

Sesshomaru's resistance faded completely. His enormous dog body began to shrink, returning slowly to his humanoid form. His silver hair fell around his bloodied face.

Uchiha Lie withdrew the Chakra blade and pointed it at Sesshomaru's throat.

He raised his hand to deliver the final blow.

But from the corner of his eye, he noticed two figures rushing toward them.

A subtle smile curved on his lips.

He slowed his movement deliberately.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome cried as they ran forward.

Seeing the killing intent, Inuyasha grabbed Tessaiga from the ground, rushed forward in a single leap, and placed himself protectively in front of Sesshomaru.

"Don't!"

Jaken scrambled to Sesshomaru's side, trembling as he checked his lord's wounds. Though bloody and frightening, they were not fatal.

Sesshomaru lay on the ground, silent. The fury from before had disappeared. His golden eyes stared at Inuyasha, unreadable.

Kagome stood beside Inuyasha, blocking Uchiha Lie's path.

"Inuyasha, Kagome," Uchiha Lie said lightly, "why are you stopping me? He's nothing but a fool being used by others. It would be better to end him now."

"Let him go," Inuyasha said through clenched teeth. "One day, I'll defeat him myself."

"Think carefully," Uchiha Lie replied calmly. "If I hadn't arrived, you would be dead. And Kagome might have died too."

Inuyasha hesitated. He glanced at Kagome, then at Sesshomaru.

"He's my brother," he said finally. "I can't watch him die."

"Brother?" Uchiha Lie scoffed. "Did he treat you like one?"

"No matter what," Kagome said firmly, "they are brothers. I believe one day their relationship will change."

Uchiha Lie studied Sesshomaru's silent expression.

His goal had already been achieved.

"Fine," he said casually, dispersing Susanoo. The towering warrior vanished in a burst of fading Chakra.

Inuyasha visibly relaxed. He knew very well that if Uchiha Lie truly wanted Sesshomaru dead, he could not have stopped him.

Supporting himself with Tenseiga, Sesshomaru slowly stood with Jaken's help.

Inuyasha opened his mouth, struggling to find words.

"You should go," he said at last.

Sesshomaru looked at him silently. His gaze was complicated—there was humiliation, anger, unwillingness
and something else. Something shaken deep inside.

Without speaking, he turned and walked toward the forest. His posture remained proud, but the overwhelming arrogance had faded slightly.

"Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken hurried after him.

Kagome exhaled softly. "He could at least say thank you."

"That's just how he is," Inuyasha replied with a faint smile.

Uchiha Lie watched Sesshomaru's retreating back, a meaningful expression on his face.

At this point in time, Sesshomaru was still cold and ruthless. He despised humans. He despised half-demons even more.

But today—

He had been utterly defeated by a human.

And saved by the very brother he despised.

That humiliation would not fade easily.

Uchiha Lie understood something Sesshomaru did not.

Sesshomaru's obsession with Tessaiga was misguided. The sword was forged from Inu no Taisho's fang. It represented the father's protection.

It had been given to Inuyasha because, as a half-demon, he lacked the power to protect himself when young.

But no one could rely on borrowed power forever.

In the future, Tessaiga would break. It would be reforged using Inuyasha's own fang. That symbolized growth—standing on one's own strength.

Sesshomaru's path was similar. Weapons like Tenseiga or Tokijin were not truly his own. Only when he awakened Bakusaiga from his own body would he become a true great demon.

Power taken from others was never real strength.

Only one's own fang could protect one's future.

Uchiha Lie turned away slowly.

"Today's defeat," he thought, "might be the first step toward that realization."

Under the moonlit sky, the battlefield fell silent.

But something invisible had changed between the two brothers.

And that change would shape the path of both demons in the days to come.
