Chapter 242 - Why Are You the Werewolf Again, Pure Evil

"Project Bunny, I'll leave it to you."

After leaving Dr. Einstein's laboratory, Vill-V planned to ride a motorcycle back to the Mad Hatter Party's base to get a sense of the Fifth Honkai Eruption.

As for MOTH, it was too difficult to enter and exit, so she decided not to go there for now.

"Construction formula has been transmitted, Miss Vill-V."

Using the construction formula sent by Project Bunny, the secondary soulium block before Vill-V quickly transformed into a cyberpunk-style soulium motorcycle.

"So cool!"

After finally becoming the Herrscher of Reason, riding a motorcycle gave her a sense of ceremony. Otherwise, it would all feel too unreal.

Running her hand over the blue, heavy mechanical-style motorcycle controlled by Project Bunny, Vill-V's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Passed Subject Three, Mom—I've become a Lychee Herrscher!"

She never thought that one day she would become someone riding a Project Bunny motorcycle. She wondered what Bronya would think if she saw her now.

At that moment, Expert poured cold water on her enthusiasm. "I should remind you, Id, this motorcycle was not created using the Herrscher of Reason's authority. I made it using soulium."

"Ughhhhh—I know already."

Of course she knew this motorcycle had been hammered out by Expert using tools.

Even though she had become the Herrscher of Reason, she still couldn't use its authority.

Planck had taken over Elysia's role within Imaginary Space, but she had not become the Origin. She needed to protect that small Time Fragment world.

All of the Herrscher of Reason's authority was still being used to stabilize that world, and could not be used by Vill-V.

Other people became Herrschers and could destroy the heavens and earth. When she became one, she couldn't even create a bit of junk.

She really wanted to be like Otto—conjure a glass of red wine out of thin air and strike a pose in front of beautiful girls.

It wasn't that the Herrscher of Reason's authority was completely unusable. As long as she said, "I can't do anything..." —no, wait—as long as she paid a hefty price, she could still use it.

That price was Planck's maple leaf bookmark—the pseudo Fenghuang Down.

The pseudo Fenghuang Down was also part of the Herrscher of Reason's authority. By consuming the memories stored within it, Vill-V could activate that power.

But the cost was memory loss... and this time, those memories might not be recoverable.

Because the current pseudo Fenghuang Down was like a USB drive that could only read but not write—Vill-V could only receive memories from it, not add new ones.

"So I've basically turned into a drooling Hua, huh..."

"I originally thought I could be like Durandal obtaining the Dea Anchora armor—borrowing the power of a bubble world to go on a rampage in the Honkai world."

"But this Time Fragment world is the complete opposite of a bubble world. Not only is it a ticking time bomb, it also occupies the Herrscher of Reason's power."

"And on top of that, time will return everything to where it originally belongs. Once you leave that world, everything you bring out will revert to the normal timeline..."

"Which means it just disappears. Bringing anything out is pointless. It's not even as good as a bubble world—at least memories from a bubble world don't vanish."

Vill-V had originally planned to loot a large amount of wealth and treasures from that future world—such as Schariac Holy Blood.

But according to Expert's theory, once she left the Time Fragment, that matter would lose the support of time and disappear.

Not just matter—even the memories within the Time Fragment had nearly vanished. Thankfully, Planck had stepped in at the last moment and reconstructed Vill-V completely, inside and out.

"What a shame... a Time Fragment is still just a Time Fragment, not a bubble world. What a scam."

"But at least becoming the Herrscher of Reason perfectly solved the problem of Honkai Sickness. I won't have to worry about getting infected anymore." Vill-V comforted herself. At least her efforts weren't entirely in vain.

Honkai Sickness had always been the most troublesome issue for Vill-V since arriving in this world, because she was almost constantly exposed to Honkai.

Research required exposure. Fighting required exposure. Even helping others required exposure.

And Honkai energy was far more pervasive than nuclear radiation. Avoiding it entirely would require immense effort.

She was just an ordinary human—not a MANTIS, nor one of those protagonists in fanfiction who could casually touch Honkai energy and only get injured without being infected.

Some stories even had protagonists growing stronger by absorbing Honkai energy—what a joke. As if Honkai energy were something beneficial.

As a Flame-Chaser from the Previous Era, Vill-V's natural Honkai adaptability was indeed high—but not that high. After all, this was the Previous Era, not the future where humans had been genetically modified through Project STIGMA.

Even humans in the future, after undergoing Honkai adaptability modifications and SWARA enhancements, often suffered from deviation when cultivating Honkai-based techniques—let alone ordinary people.

In the Honkai world, the most deadly threat was often not those world-destroying attacks, but infection by Honkai energy itself.

Every time Vill-V tried to prevent infection, she had to put in a great deal of effort—taking vaccines and Honkai Antibody Serum.

Each injection made her feel like she was shortening her lifespan, consuming her immune system and the number of times her cells could divide.

But to stay alive, she had no choice.

Now, with a Herrscher's body, Vill-V had finally broken free from those constraints—she could even treat Honkai energy like drinking water.

Most importantly—

"My hair is thicker again! The hair I lost from worrying about Expert has grown back!"

Vill-V excitedly ran her hands through her now smooth and thick hair.

Although she was only seventeen, she had lost an alarming amount of hair. Even though Occultist had tried to remedy it, she couldn't stop the gradual thinning. For a girl, that was truly terrifying.

Expert Vill-V said in a gloomy tone, "My lifestyle is extremely regular and flawless. You should question Conductor instead—her brain activity far exceeds mine."

Conductor attempted to bluff as Magician: "Please don't directly link thinking to hair loss, okay? This is clearly because Magician stuffed too many things into her magic hat!"

Magician refused the bluff and directly pointed at Pure Evil: "It must be Pure Evil secretly pulling it out."

Pure Evil defended herself: "How many times have I even come out?! How can you blame me? Occultist pulled way more while making potions—you know that!"

Magician pressed on: "Just answer—did you pull it or not?"

Pure Evil replied confidently: "I did."

Id: "Are you seriously playing Werewolf with my hair here? And why are you the one fake-claiming Werewolf again, Pure Evil?"

Lecturer stepped in to mediate: "Alright, alright. The receding hairline crisis is already in the past, so stop passing the blame around. Look at me—I turned into a bald card-playing robot and didn't complain, did I?"
