Eight days is a long time to be alone with yourself, he had the saiyan but he wasn't much of a talker, at least the vampa beasts made noises.
Indra didn't really sleep again, he'd close his eyes and see the snow then open his eyes and stare at the ceiling instead.
The ship set down in a clearing and Indra stepped out. Smoke covered the landscape and Indra saw Frieza Force soldiers moving through the wreckage below the ridge.
He could see them executing some type of alien race. A small green-skin person was clutching something to her chest. A soldier raised his arm and fired.
Indra intervened, and raised his hand and shot out six ki blasts that killed all the soldiers. The thing hit the ground, covering its head, then looked up in surprise to see all the soldiers gone.
Indra was already moving, attacking more cold force soldiers which took minutes. He moved faster than they could see and destroy the ships above. Some brave ones tried to fight, using their blasters but Indra simply walked through them.
The engineer was still on the ship. Indra glanced back at the ship and saw the saiyan hadn't moved since landing. He heard movements behind him and turned around to see an older one of the aliens.
It was dark green skin and small, it came around the collapsed wall and stopped, looking at the cleared battlefield then at Indra.
Behind it, others followed. They were small and had purple mohawks covered with dust.
They crowded close to the elder's back and stared with curiosity. The elder walked over with shaking hands, as it was intimidated by his appearance. She bowed anyway and one of the young ones behind her started crying.
Indra crouched down and smiled. "You're okay, it's over."
The elder came up from her bow. "You saved all of us. There were more further in, they were hiding-"
"I know." He'd seen them through the Byakugan on the way in. "They're fine, all the soldiers are gone."
"Who are you?" he asked.
"Nobody important," Indra said.
—-
He didn't stay long and started walking away. The elder understood and thanked him again, with the young ones watching him walk away, not hiding behind the elder anymore.
While he was walking, he heard two heavy impacts on the ground behind him and saw Zarbon and Dodoria, he turned around, smirking slightly.
"The hell is that thing?" Dodoria said.
"Unclear," Zarbon replied, looking at the dead bodies of the cold force. "But what I find more interesting is that it appears to be responsible for all of this."
"For a bunch of dead grunts?" Dodoria snorted. "Could've been anything."
"Could have been." Zarbon turned to Indra."The ships, however. Someone with considerable power destroyed those from the outside while standing here."
Dodoria squinted at Indra, looking at his features. "Never seen that species before." He cracked his knuckles. "Doesn't matter. You've got about ten seconds to explain yourself before I stop being curious."
Indra looked at them both, saying nothing.
"Ten," Dodoria said. "Nine. Eight-"
"Perhaps," Zarbon cut in, "We should establish what you are and why you've eliminated an entire cold force unit before resorting to- "
Dodoria flew towards Indra at full charge and Indra attacked with a punch. The punch created a shockwave that sent Dodoria's body flying, killing him instantly.
Zarbon stared at the spot where Dodoria had been standing in shock, breaking his composure. He either had to fight, flee, transform, or negotiate. He was smart enough to know that Dodoria had been one of the strongest beings in the Cold Force and this being in front of him had killed him with a punch.
He wasn't smart enough to run before Indra closed the distance and blitzed him, sending Zarbon flying and killing him as well.
Indra looked up in the sky and saw an enormous signature that could only belong to him.
"Your turn."
Indra flew to outer space and saw a flagship that was massive. Indra then raised his hand and shot a ki blast which destroyed the ship.
In the middle of where the ship had been was Frieza in his first form, floating completely unharmed.
"My," Frieza said. "What a thorough job you've done. That ship took a while to commission. I do hope you had a good reason."
He looked at Indra horns and rinnegans. "I don't recognize your species, tha's rare. I've catalogued quite a lot of them - it's a habit. What are you, exactly?"
"Does it matter?"
Frieza tilted his head slightly. "I suppose not. Though I do find myself curious what manner of creature destroys an entire planetary operation, kills two of my finest officers, and then demolishes my flagship. Most beings with that level of ambition at least introduce themselves first."
"Zarbon and Dodoria," Indra said, chuckling. "Those were one of your finest?"
"I see. You are either very powerful or very stupid. I find myself hoping, for the sake of what comes next, that it's the former."
His finger came up and he shot out a Death Beam which hit Indra right palm and vanished. Indra looked at his hand and the third rinnegan on his forehead read the technique, copying it. Indra looked up at Frieza, to see him staring at his hand.
"…Interesting," he said. He fired four more, testing Indra.
Indra absorbed them all. "It's useless," Indra said.
"Yes," Frieza said unpleasantly, "I can see that."
Then Indra attacked and Frieza tried to track his movements but it was for naught. Indra landed a gut punch that created multiple shockwaves throughout space.
Frieza rocketed backward through space then Indra appeared behind him and kicked him at the side of the head that sent him tumbling downward towards the planet.
Frieza caught himself and stopped his descent. He rose back up slowly, slightly winded.
"Impressive speed, you caught me off guard but it won't happen again." He fired more death beams but Indra kept absorbing them.
Frieza's eyes narrowed, he was trying figure out what was the limit of Indra absorbing powers.
Indra closed the distance again but this time Frieza moved to meet him with his guard up. Indra punched him in his forearms and the impact still drove him back.
He recovered faster and tried to hit a strike to Indra's ribs but Indra tanked it and didn't give Frieza the follow-up. He grabbed his outstretched arm and threw him, sending him spinning sideways, Frieza stopped himself again, breathing harder.
"What are you absorbing them into, some form of ki nullification? A biological trait, perhaps - I've encountered species with natural ki resistance, though none quite so…complete.
"Keep guessing."
"I don't need to guess, unfortunately for you, I've been holding back. No being has ever pushed me to my second form through brute force alone, you should feel honored. Very few creatures have earned this much of my attention."
The ki around him changed and his body began to swell, transforming into his second form. He looked at Indra, smirking, then flew towards him faster.
His fist attacked Indra but he blocked it and redirected, but Frieza pressed him not giving him the reset - a knee aimed at his midsection, then a backhand that Indra ducked.
Indra threw a straight punch and Frieza partially dodged it, taking it on the shoulder, he countered but Indra caught the strike on his forearm, grinning.
"You're enjoying this," Frieza said.
"Aren't you?"
"No."
Indra threw a left hook but Frieza blocked it and countered immediately - a ki blast at point blank range, fired directly into Indra's chest before he could bring the right palm around.
It sent him back but did no damage to him. He brought his finger up and fired a death beam at Frieza. Frieza dodged it in shock.
"My technique…how?"
"I wonder how too." Indra said, smirking.
Frieza came at him again more aggressive, attacking with a flurry of strikes, Indra tank two, deflected three and landed a counter that sent Frieza back
"I can't believe it's stronger than this form," Frieza said. "I have no choice but to inconvenience myself further."
His ki began to rise again and his skull started elongating. "No one,has ever pushed me this far and lived."
"There's always a first time for everything." Indra replied.
