The sunset couldn't reach deep into the tunnel, and the truck's headlight wasn't as bright, but Tina's brother sped through the tunnel anyway, as though he was very familiar with the path.
He was.
"Where would this path lead us?" Jenna asked.
"A small settlement outside Maddadas," he responded.
Jenna tried to recall if she'd seen a settlement on their way to Maddadas when De Warden kidnapped her and her siblings here, but couldn't remember seeing any.
"There was no settlement when De Warden brought us here." She countered, wondering if he truly knew the way.
"There are quite a number of road leading in and out of Maddadas, depending on the city you're entering from. And there are escape routes too. But it's only known to De Warden and his men." He responded.
If he hadn't stumbled upon this tunnel in his past life, he wouldn't have known that this place existed.
