What stupid plan would work here?! She was so small, she couldn't even reach the creature's thigh, unless the creature went down on fours. But unfortunately, it was standing on two legs.

Jenna gritted ger teeth, sending a sharp glare towards the creature, imagining it to be the system.

Across from her, the queen walked towards her slowly, sizing her up, as if in disbelief that this flimsy human killed her child. Each step cracked the ground, its presence pressing down like an invisible mountain.
"You. killed. my. child…" it rasped, its voice clearer and stronger. "You… will die…"
Jenna's grip tightened around her blades.
Her arms trembled. She could feel an invisible force trying to corrode her sense of reasoning.
The monster was trying to compel or paralyse her, she thought.
However, she moved, breaking free from the spell.
