Chapter 8 - Chapter 7 – Giants, Booze, and the Prince of Elbaf

The Grand Line was a nightmare. Even with wings of gold flame and a body blessed by power, Kai had learned that strength meant nothing against chaotic currents and unpredictable skies. He had "borrowed" seven pirate ships so far, and every single one had met a tragic end against reefs, whirlpools, or sudden storms.

"Damn it… Why wasn't Nami born early?" Kai complained angrily, standing at the helm of his seventh stolen vessel as it drifted toward a prehistoric island. "Navigating the Grand Line is really difficult. Even Roger had a navigator. And Luffy… that lucky idiot."

Still, after exchanging all the treasure from the pirate crews he had generously "donated to the sea" for barrels of high-quality booze, Kai finally reached his destination: Little Garden. The island of eternal duel. The land where two giants had fought for over a century.

He wasn't here for glory or treasure. He had come for inspiration.

---

Kai anchored the battered ship near the shore and leapt into the air, golden flaming wings erupting from his back in a partial transformation. The heat shimmered behind him as he soared over thick jungle canopies and towering trees older than most kingdoms.

Somewhere on this island were the legendary captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates—Dorry and Broggy. Their techniques, their weapons, their sheer presence… Kai wanted to witness it all.

After several minutes of flight, he spotted one of them. A massive figure stood like a living mountain in a clearing, gripping an enormous axe and laughing thunderously.

Kai descended without fear.

"Yooo!" Kai greeted loudly.

Broggy looked down, blinking in confusion. "Hmmm? A human kid?" His single visible eye narrowed. "What is a little human doing here? Lost, are you?"

Kai crossed his arms confidently. "Name is Kai. Tempest. D. Kai. Anyway, come with me and help me carry the booze."

There was a pause. Then Broggy's eye sparkled like a child spotting treasure. "Booze?" he repeated slowly. "You brought booze?"

"Barrels. Lots of them," Kai replied casually. "High quality too. Not the cheap stuff pirates drink before dying."

Broggy let out a booming laugh that shook the trees. "Gabababababa! You are a bold little human! Sure! Tell me where it is!"

---

Kai led the giant to the shore where his ship waited. The deck sagged under the weight of massive barrels stacked in rows. Every coin he had taken from the unfortunate pirate crews had gone into this purchase.

Broggy's jaw dropped. "This is… this is glorious!"

"Told you," Kai shrugged. "And hey, call your friend too. Booze tastes better when shared. Drinking alone won't be fun."

Broggy scratched his beard thoughtfully. "Hmm… true. A warrior of Elbaf does not feast alone." He nodded. "Wait here!"

The giant disappeared into the jungle with earth-shaking strides. Kai sighed and stretched.

"Guess I'll cook," he muttered.

With a snap of his fingers, golden flames danced in his palm. Several enormous dinosaur carcasses lay nearby—Broggy's recent hunts. Kai lifted them effortlessly and began roasting the meat evenly with controlled bursts of fire. The aroma quickly filled the air.

"I've always wanted to taste dinosaur meat," Kai said with a grin. "Let's see if it lives up to the hype."

---

Moments later, the ground trembled again. Broggy returned with Dorry, who carried his massive sword over one shoulder.

Dorry stopped when he saw the prepared feast. "What is this?" he asked, voice like rolling thunder.

Kai waved casually. "Dinner. And booze. Lots of booze."

Dorry stared, then looked at Broggy. "You found this human?"

Broggy grinned widely. "He found us! And he brings tribute worthy of warriors!"

Kai snorted. "Not tribute. I just wanted to drink with legends."

Dorry burst into laughter. "Gahahahaha! A fearless human child! I like him already!"

The three sat together—two giants towering like ancient gods, and one small boy between mountains of meat and rivers of alcohol.

Broggy lifted a barrel the size of a house and roared, "To warriors!"

Kai raised a mug. "To warriors."

Dorry slammed his own barrel against Broggy's. "To Elbaf!"

They drank.

---

Hours passed in laughter and roaring voices. The giants told stories of their homeland—Elbaf, the land of proud warriors and endless snowfields. They spoke of honor, of battle rites, of feasts that lasted for days.

Kai listened carefully, absorbing every detail.

"I came here to see something," Kai admitted after wiping grease from his mouth. "Your attack. The one that split the sea monster in half."

Dorry and Broggy exchanged glances.

"You mean…" Broggy began.

"Elbaf's Spear," Dorry finished.

Kai's eyes gleamed. "Yeah. I want to see it."

Dorry leaned forward slightly. "Why?"

Kai didn't hesitate. "Because one day, I'll surpass it."

Silence fell for a brief moment before both giants erupted in booming laughter.

"Gahahahaha!" Dorry roared. "Such ambition from such a small body!"

Broggy wiped tears from his eye. "You speak like a true warrior of Elbaf!"

---

As the feast continued, Kai decided to share something in return.

"You know," he began casually, "I've heard stories about current events in Elbaf."

Dorry raised a brow. "Oh?"

Kai nodded. "There's a prince. Loki."

The laughter faded slightly.

Kai continued, voice steady. "They call him the Cursed Prince. Because of his eyes. The queen was afraid of him. Said he brought misfortune. So after he was born, she had him thrown into the underworld of Elbaf."

Broggy's grip tightened around his barrel. "That is… unacceptable."

Dorry's expression darkened. "A child judged for his eyes?"

Kai shrugged lightly. "He survived. Grew up down there alone. That's what makes it interesting."

Broggy frowned. "Elbaf values strength, yes… but we do not abandon our blood."

Dorry's voice became low and heavy. "If what you say is true, then shame falls upon those who made that choice."

Kai watched them carefully. "He's still alive. And strong. Stronger than most expect."

Broggy let out a long breath. "Then perhaps he will carve his own legend."

Dorry nodded slowly. "A warrior born in darkness often shines the brightest."

Kai smirked. "Exactly."

---

The mood shifted back to celebration as Broggy suddenly stood.

"Little human!" he boomed. "You wished to see Elbaf's Spear, yes?"

Kai's eyes sharpened. "Yeah."

Dorry rose beside him. "Then watch carefully."

The two giants moved to an open stretch of land near the shore. The sky seemed to hold its breath. Kai stepped back, wings flickering faintly behind him in anticipation.

Dorry and Broggy raised their weapons simultaneously.

"Elbaf…!"

"Spear…!"

They swung forward together.

A massive cross-shaped shockwave exploded from their strike, slicing through the air and splitting a distant sea king clean in half. The ocean parted briefly under the force before crashing back together in a thunderous roar.

Kai's heart pounded. His eyes reflected the fading energy trail.

"So that's it…" he whispered.

Broggy looked down at him. "Well? Still wish to surpass it?"

Kai grinned widely. "Of course. That was amazing."

Dorry laughed proudly. "Good answer!"

---

Night fell slowly over Little Garden. The feast dwindled, though the laughter remained loud.

As stars filled the sky, Kai lay back against a massive tree root, staring upward.

"You giants are incredible," he said quietly.

Broggy leaned back with a satisfied sigh. "You are not so bad yourself, little human."

Dorry added, "When you grow stronger, return to Elbaf. Warriors respect those who seek strength honestly."

Kai closed his eyes briefly. "Maybe I will."

Then he smirked. "But next time, I'm bringing even better booze."

Both giants roared with laughter once more.

And beneath the ancient sky of Little Garden, between legends of the past and ambitions of the future, a boy with golden flames carved another quiet step toward his own myth.
